Event Review: Highland Games 78
Highland Games
2015-05-24, London, Hard Knocks - London
Attendance:2,519, Event Rating:176
Author:Callum McGregor

For the first time in a while, Highland Games goes back to Hard Knocks in London to showcase the next generation of Highland Games superstars. We’ve got a lot of up and comers on the card tonight, knocking on the door of championship gold. With a few more wins under their belts, they will compete against the legends but first, they have to get through Highland Games 78!

Light Heavyweight

Marcelo Strazas (3-2) def. Skhu Dan (2-2) by Unanimous Decision Dan was trying to make this a grappling match as quickly as possible but he was unable to do much in the clinch of on the ground. Marcelo managed to land his shots from the outside, mixing up kicks and punches which led to the judges giving him the victory unanimously.

Heavyweight Renato Sobral (2-0) def. Ray Dinkledorff (2-1) by TKO (Strikes) at 1:58 of Round 1 This was quite a decisive victory for Sobral, who quickly took the fight to the floor and knocked his opponent out with two impactful shots from the top position. A large statement was made by the heavyweight here.

Light Heavyweight

"Nobody Loves Me" Preview #1

Event Preview: Why was I left out?
The Leftovers
2015-05-31, The Island, Micro Arena - The Island
Author:The Dictator

Welcome to the place no one wants to be at all! The Island! And especially: The MICRO arena! It's the "NOBODY LOVES ME" Preview!

#1 Carl Park v Krogan Quarian
Carl, even though he's fresh to the island already has 3 defeats and a negative bank account. He trained a little bit of everything meaning he actually masters nothing. Luckily for him, his opponent, Krogan, he's barely a teenager but he can actually box so I expect him to win.

#2 Roscoe Jenkins v Hugo Oliveira
Jenkins comes to this fight with the advantage of coming from another island no one cares about, the Bahamas. He has an all round game which gives him an upper an in game planning, but that's it. Oliveira is a veteran boxer whose takedown defense already cost him a submission defeat. I'm calling a victory for Hugo, but it will be close.

#3 Kirk Garnett v Hanson Recall
Garnett is a boxer with a blue belt, whatever that means. No fights on record leaves empty on further comments on this guy. His opponent, surprisingly, has almost precisely the same skill set as Kirk so the outcome of this is unknown!

#4 Martin Ellis v Mark Munoz
Martin likes to punch, a lot. However his boxing is terrible and that strategy has already cost him 2 fights. Maybe he'll change his gameplan

This was fight of 19 years old who never been beaten before. Dr Tork had recorded 6 wins and his opponent Carl Jamison had 5. Tork has a little bit advantages on Muay Thai and Wrestling while Jamison has a bit of BJJ and huge on Boxing. So the tactics for Tork should have to takedown then ground and pound while Jamison keeping him as stand up fighter and throwing punches from outside.

Event Review: MFN 212: Judd vs. Moribe 2
Montreal Fight Nights
2015-05-27, Los Angeles, LA Memorial Colossuseum
Attendance:40,859, Event Rating:439
Author:Heri Doank

This was bantamweight championship between Eugene Judd  as the title holder with records 23-2-1 and Azusa Moribe (17-7-1). Both fighters had met before with a draw result. As the contender, Moribe has a little advantage on Boxing and Muay Thai.

The fight was planned for 5 round with 5 minutes per round.

After 1st bell rung, Moribe used his advantages to score points by punching and kicking and got some and Judd replied with the same things while trying to look to takedown. And Judd succeed to takedown then made some strikes there before the ref ordered them to stand up. Many punches and kicks released by both fighters but Moribe scored more than Judd.

In 2nd round Moribe scored with his punches before Judd took him down and tried to land some strikes and attempt submission but failed. After referee ordered to stand up both fighters exchange their punches and kicks which attracted the spectators. They did stand up fight until the bell stopped them and Moribe scored more points.

Fight on feet continued in 3rd round. More Muay Thay skills used in this round. Both showed all they got that impress the crowd. Moribe cut Judd when they fought inside. And they still did clinch fighting until the bell ran

Inside The UPF - Kashmire Gates

Fighter profile of Kashmire Gates by Dale Saw

Hello everybody Fred Meyer here to welcome you back to Inside The UPF. I'm glad to report that The UPF is back and open for business. Fighting business that is! Haha! Anyways, I'd like to take a second to give a shout out to The UPF's newest event partner Sportmanship Ltd.

They are a clothing company based out of Montreal with nothing over $30. So head on over and check out their designs today. And now time to get to the actual show, today we have on the show a young middleweight fighter with a lot of skill in jiu-jitsu. Lady's and gentlemen help me welcome to the stage Kashmire Gates.
(Gates enters the stage flexing his muscles and smiles. Waves to the crowd walks over shakes Fred's hand and takes his seat.)
Freddy: Well hello there Kash. Is it alright if I call you Kash?

Kash: Yes, Kash is fine.

Freddy: Awesome! So tell me Kash, how are you doing today?

Kash: I'm doing great and feeling good about my upcoming UPF match.

Freddy: That would be against Mustafiq Rana, correct me if I'm wrong?

Kash: Yes, Mustafiq Rana and make no mistake about it. We are both young fighters and I do not take him lightly. Mustafiq is a very quick and dangerous fighter who has been training a long time. This will be a fight to see. I know his style and I am training very intense for this match.

Freddy: You mentioned that you were both young fighters. True but he is 8 years your elder meaning he has probably had a lot more time to train than you. Is that something that concerns you? Do you feel, even though you the younger fighter, that you pose as much of a threat to him as he is to you? Tell u
