One on One with Golden Glory

Fighter profile of Golden Glory by

I was doing some work at my office when I got a surprise phone call from the best fighter in the world, Golden Glory, through his interpreter and manager Gunmetal Grey. Fearing for my life I made some questions up on the spot, and this is the interview that followed:

How has your upbringing affected your career?
Coming up in the fight scene down in Brazil was great for my career. I got some great training through the JMFC gyms and fought some really tough opponents on my way up. Although I do miss Rio, I love being based at the center of the fight world in Las Vegas.

What are some fights you want in the future?
My future fights involve fighting the best in the world, plain and simple. I want to create a unified heavyweight title and defend my belts against the most deserving challengers.

Feelings about Syn'200?
Syn 200 should be an amazing show. This will be my third time fighting in front of 90,000 people and it's a huge h

AXF 85

Event Preview: AXF 85
Sydney Fight Championship
2011-11-26, Sydney, Sydney Superdome
Author:Louie DePalma

MAIN EVENT: 265 lbs      Shogun Silva v Jacks Sole
In this epic battle involving Sydney’s current #1 ranked HW vs the #2 HW, these monsters wish to determine who truly is Sydney’s top HW fighter.  AXF’s HW Champ Silva comes into the fight on a five fight win streak as he climbed his way to the top of what arguably could be considered Sydney’s most talented HW division to claim the title at AXF 75, and effectively began the wheels turning on what would be a very difficult decision for former Champ Jacob Obworth when he decided to call it a career.   Shogun no doubt has some real power in his right and left hands as his 15 (T)KO’s will attest during his storied career.   Will his 0-2 record during Super fights be his undoing, or will he break with what has been his tradition and come out on top in this one?   Silva is on a roll and wants nothing more than to solidify his current status as #1 and to silence any critics.   Jacks Sole will certainly have a thing or two to

Clint Lomax - 3 Weight Champ

Fighter profile of Clint Lomax by Cliff Biff

CLINT LOMAX, CAGE WARS HILO Bamtamweight, Featherweight and Lightweight Champion

In mid-2011 Clint Lomax was thought to be near unstoppable....and then he was STOPPED by Joe Crippler in one of the biggest upsets of the year. And STOPPED AGAIN by Pepe Silvia. Hoping to start anew, Lomax signed with Cage Wars Hilo in July, where he was immediately defeated by Fox, making it 3 losses in a row. Yes, his record in July was still a great 19-4, but many doubted that Lomax could make a comeback. Lomax even doubted himself.

"I actually convinced myself that if I didn't beat Maguire, I was leaving MMA forever", Lomax admitted recently. Lomax did beat Macguire, KOing him in the 3rd round. He was then given a title shot against Brian Harvey, the reigning Bantamweight champion who had successfully defended his title twice. "I didn't want to just win the title, I wanted to make a statement", Lomax said. And that he did, knocking out the champ in just 3 minutes. Lomax immediately challenged Fox to a rematch and took a fight 12 days later, even thou

Syn" 200: Syngularity

Video article by

The Singularity, T-Day, The Technological Revolution; call it what you will, it's the day that changed the world. They say it happened in the early part of the 21st century, when humanity was at its peak of civilization, they've even pin-pointed a date in their historical time-lines, November 27th 2011. But there are only a handful of minds that truly understand just how it happened.

It all began near the end of the 20th century, with scientific research into the field of cybernetics. During the time when the first ape cyborgs were being created in labs, cybernetics was facing a battle in the area of public perception. It would be almost cliche to place the blame at the feet of government and cast blame at some faceless government research facility. But during the time when cybernetics was being hammered out through research, the subject was far too hot for the government to touch and so the only research that was funded was done so by private corporations.

The things being done behind closed doors and in secrecy by the labs carrying out cybernetics research at the end of the 20th century were mind blowing. As brain capacity, memory and instantaneous processing power was being added to the brains of primates, the potential for human application looked limitless. Human research was carried out under total confidentiality and only one corporation dared to push the boundaries beyond the limits of public acceptance.

It was this corporation, located in the Nevada desert outside of Las Vegas, that created the first super-intelligent human cyborg. He was a triumph of engineering, a marvel of technology, but with an intellect that dwarfed those of his creators he soon became a threat, tight controls were placed around him at all times. It was this increased security that drove the cyborg to rebel its creators, and so after hacking into the security system of the research facili

Winds of Change

Editorial by Kc Cooper

Times have changed in the Tycoon community. Long gone are the days of single organization champions, lack of Pay Per Views and public gym relevancy. Becoming more and more prevalent is cooperation among organizations, fighters and managers alike. No longer are the days of Synchronicity, Canadian Fighting Championship and Nordic Fire Championship being the only three companies that the biggest stars fight for. New organizations have risen to compete with these juggernauts.

Rio de Janeiro has long been a hotbed of many of the top fighters in the game and has many great organizations, but in the past none have had the ability to put on the types of events that could compete with the big boys. Not anymore. Mayhem FC has been on the cusp of breaking out and becoming a top company, but had always been missing that one piece. Consider that piece, or pieces, to be Johnny Wonnut and Joshua Donovan. Co-owners of the recently renamed Blitzkrieg: Rio, they have put together some of the best events Rio has ever seen, if not the world.

Having been once been considered the worst city for a fighter to call home, London has made it’s way out of obscurity, and one organization has risen to become the face of London…………Troid. In a little over a year, Troid has become a premier organization and will soon be looked at as home of some of the best mega fights ever. Having held their highest event rating only 3 days ago (as of this writing), Troid will no doubt hold a top three ranking sometime soon.

Once dominated by Eastern Elite Combat and Cult of Violence, New York has turned into one of the most, if not THE most, challenging cities in the tycoon world. With both companies closing their doors this past year (EEC has since re-opened), New York was left without a top company. Lots of shuffling back and forth for the #1 spot in New York took place for several months. It was only recently that one organization has staked its claim to be the top company in New York: Ultimate Proving Ground. Recently having the former #7 pound for pound fighter Thunder Struck fighting ultra talented, but vastly underrated, Forever War, Ultimate Proving Ground is showing the rest of New York how it should be done.

With so much change happening around the Tycoon world over this past year, 2012 could perhaps be the biggest year for MMA Tycoon ever. Can the top companies withstand this barrage of new talent, or will someone be able to pass the “untouchables”?………….only time will tell.

Current Age: 27
Height: 171 cm, 5'6"
Weight: 152 pounds
Hometown: Nwot Emoh - Yemen
Base: Hilo
Current Sponsor: Xtreme Pwnage - Sydney Clothing

Born in Nwot Emoh, Yemen, Tsrif Dnoces was put to work at a young age on the family's coffee farm. It was known early that he was an extraordinary athlete. His main sport growing up in Yemen was football (soccer), in which he excelled. At the age of 22 he turned down a large contract with the Yemen Football Association with the hopes of one day fighting professionally in MMA. He immediately moved to Hilo, Hawaii and joined a local wrestling gym and went to work. Within a year he had caught the eye of a local organization called H-1 Global and signed on for a guaranteed 3 fight deal. Here is the story of Dnoces' career up until now, recapping all of his current fights.

Tsrif Dnoces (Professional MMA Debut) vs Dog "THE BOUNTY" Hunter (1-8) On a 8 fight losing streak, getting knocked out in 6 of those fights, The Bounty Hunter needed to come out with a win. Hunter was a jiu jitsu specialist that lacked standup skills, but that wouldn't hurt him in
