SOTF 16: On To The Next One Preview

Event Preview: SOTF 16: On To The Next One
Survival of the Fittest
2012-10-28, New York, Credit Card Center
Author:Michel Sakr

Ladies and Gentlemen, another thrilling night awaits you, as New York’s fastest rising MMA organization Survival of the Fittest, and in association with our merchandise partners, Canadian Fighter Clothing, proudly presents, SOTF 16: On To The Next One, an event that will be held live from the Credit Card Center arena in New York, on Sunday the 28th of October 2012. This event will feature a bunch of exiting fights, including the main event between Ken Tentheros and Master Shuai jiao. Now let’s get our detailed fight per fight preview started:

Tyler Durdun v Frank Mir

What better way to kick things off than with a heavyweight scrap! Two fighters who share a promotional record of 2-1 will be battling to earn their third organizational win. 26 year old wonderful Muay Thai fighter and respectable wrestler Tyler Durdun made a great promotional debut at SOTF 2 when he defeated Jeff Kulen, before suffering from an upset defeat against Frank Marko at SOTF 6, but then he rebounded well by knocking Brock Lesnar out at SOTF 10 and earned himself the ‘’KO of the night’’ award. On the other hand, 24 year old superb wrestler and BJJ purple belt Frank Mir introduced himself to the SOTF crowd when he submitted James Rivera at SOTF 4 and he followed it by finishing Andouh Andouh in just 5 seconds at SOTF 8, before he suffered from his first promotional defeat at SOTF 12 at the hands of Brock Rua. Who Will Be The Next MMA Tycoon Legend???

Editorial by Kc Cooper

Over the years we have seen many fighters come and go with only a few given the status of “Legend”. In the beginning there was the well-rounded skills YB Sol & the highlight reel knockouts of Jin Sen. Then came the dominance of Fidel Puno at Heavyweight and Jigoro Kane’s destruction of just about every big name in the Welterweight and Light Heavyweight divisions. Following that was the meteoric rise of the undefeated young gun, Golden Glory, who began his career 17-0. And of course we cannot forget Bubba KillsInWater, who continues to defy everything with multiple returns to the top 10. Most recently we have seen Jeremy Tonal leave a path of bodies and broken dreams in his wake.

But what has happened since Tonal was dethroned??? Well we have had a rotation of fighters claiming to be the best, but none of them have seemed to take that next step forward. Victor Creed seems to be the most logical choice, fighting in the always deep Heavyweight division. There is a possibility t

GAMMA; Degen Gambler

Fighter profile of Degen Gambler by Mentor Guru Corleone

Degen Gambler (68491) has been on impressive form as of late and it is showing in his p4p rankings! He has won a total of 7 of his last 8 fights all of which were in top level orgs (his last 3 wins were finishes inside GAMMA).

In his last fight he beat Jamie Gillis in the second round by KO (punch) to win the 205lbs title belt becoming the 10th person in GAMMA history to hold the 205lbs belt.

Besides this he also broke into the top 100 p4p becoming only the 21st all time to achieve that feat. This was also the first time in Degen's impressive career that he ranked so high (top ranking was p4p #78).

Unless something unusual happens, he is expected to defend his title against Hannibal Die Rücksichtslos in his next upcoming fight, one which is expected to be a thriller of a bout. In recent times holding onto the GAMMA 205lbs title has proven to be difficult. The only person which defended his title more than once was Jeremy Tonal and that

Big Apple Fight Club - NEED STAFF

Attendance:3,000, Event Rating:155

The Big Apple Fight Club presented it's third event this past Friday night in front of a sell out crowd at The Hard Knocks in New York. The BAFC is a relative newcomer to the MMA world, but has really raised some eyebrows here in New York. They have used some of the best up and coming fighters combined with some quality experienced veterans to present some really exciting cards that have left the fans longing for more.

This past Friday it was: BAFC 3 - Caesar vs Ghostal. There were 10 fights on the card, eight warm up fights and two heavyweight fights sharing the spotlight as co-main events.

The night began with a light heavyweight bout between two fighters who were both seeking their third victory:
Chadd Smith (2 - 4 - 0) and Michael Bloodgood (2 - 1 - 0).

In a fight between two relatively unknown fighters that was expected to just wet the appetite of the fans for the fights to come, this one surprised everyone. It was non-stop action action

Welterweight - "Nom" Nom Nomm Unanimous Decisions "Clap" Igor Wietrzny

What a way to start the main card. Nomm got taken down pretty early on. After a few submission scares, he decided he put on enough of a show on the ground and kicked Igor off of him. On the feet, Nomm looked like he was completely in control. He was throwing like a mad man. The second round was entirely at the distance. Igor landed a few shots in there, but there was no doubt that Nom had everything under control. He just looked so relaxed! The final round saw a brief stint in the clinch, but that didn't last long. The two of them looked exhausted, but Nomm did everything right at the distance again. In a last ditch effort to finish the fight, Igor managed to take the fight to the ground and threw down a few submissions. It's a shame they didn't lock in, because that would have been an amazing comeback. But Nomm was the more dominant fighter and walked away with a nice 'W'.

Lightweight - Victor Bonifacio Split Decisions "Mini" Fenton Meeks

The fight opened up and it looked like Bonifacio was trying to use a classic Wall-n-Stall technique. But Meeks didn't want that kind of fight. At the distance, the two looked fairly even. But in the clinch Meeks looked like he was doing the better of the two. This round looked similar to the last. The fight took place at the

The Now Generation

About Me: Joe Kingpin

As the days move on War Lord seems to have manage a 2 - 0 win/ loss record. give thanks to the mma forums and to my mentor manager for such help/ tips they gave. These are my fighters stat record:
Tacius Clay
Win vs Markus Marsu via decision (Unanimous) at Quick Fighting Championship 2012-10-14 round 3 at 5:00.
That was a close fight as both fighters fight toe to toe until the end

Lew Alcindor
Win vs jack Hilton via submission (arm bar) at Quick Fighting Championship 2012-10-14 round 1 at 01:35.

His opponent tries to make combination of punches but Lew is a good counterstriker and manage to pin his opponent to the floor. With some advance positioning, he manage to swing around for an arm bar and that was the end of the fight.

The remaining 2 fighters still doesn't have any experienced yet, but one of them is a project fighter that is projected to fight at age 20 in the future.

Let me share to you a quote from a great fighter:
· "I’m gonna show you how great I am! Only last week, I murdered a rock, injured a stone, hospitalized a brick – I’m so mean I make medicine sick!
· I’m gonna show you how great I am! Last night I cut the light off in the bedroom, hit the switch, was in the bed before the room was dark!
· I’m gonna show you how great I am! I’d huv wrestled with an alligator, I’d huv tussled with a whale, I’d huv hand-cuffed lightnin’, put thunder in jail!" - Muhammad Ali

Spartans Invade Rio

Sparta, Fight Organization, Rio de Janeiro
Company profile by

Hello fellow MMA fans! I have created a new fight org, Sparta, in Rio De Janeiro in the hope of eventually building a very successful company.

I will be signing fighters in the next few days and have already sent out 20 contracts so far so will be waiting to see how many are accepted. After this I will then start planning the event. If anyone has any helpful advice or tips that is not contained in the guides I'd be happy to hear it.

Also, if anyone who has a fighter they want contracted feel free to pm me and let me know. Likewise for Merchandise partners, if you need a fight org to pair up with them let me know.

Thanks, Philip
