INY 62 Wauler vs Vieri

This is it, the moment the best the 4Kings Org had to offer, debut in the INY, with two outstanding 4K champions going head to head with two of Immortals’ finest champions in Wauler and Ventura.

The undercard is stacked, with Hall of Famer Shane Wellman Junior taking on striking sensation Aldous Huxley, Chikatilo looking to bounce back against super tough Le Sheet, and former heavyweight golden boy and Immortals first ever entrant into the HOF, Derric Styles facing the streaking heavy handed bomber from the Galactus camp, Maxim Simmons.

So in the words of the great Mills Lane…Lets Get It On!

SPFT FN 4 Review

Hayashi’s Lounge in London, England today saw a near capacity crowd as 1,964 bloodthirsty fans packed in to watch an exciting evening of fights that included two champions putting their belts on the line. A total of ten fights were scheduled on the card for the first SPFT event partnered with Heat Rising Clothing, and the night was a sign of great things to come for the organization.

First on the card was a Heavyweight bout between rookie Kru Datsik (0-0, 25) and Junior Dos Santos (1-1, 24). Both fighters were looking to keep the fight standing and did exactly that putting on a show. The night started off with a bang as Datsik got cut by a nice one-two combo from Dos Santos in the beginning seconds of the first round. The combo opened Datsik’s eyes to his opponents striking power and almost immediately went for the clinch and got it. The rest of the first round played out in the clinch with Datsik being the busier fighter and showed great control not letting Dos Santos break out despite numerous attempts. In the second round, Datsik tried going back to the clinch early but Dos Santos wouldn’t let him so he settled for peppering him with kicks from the outside. The rest of the fight played out just like that, with Datsik using his height and reach advantage that belied his inexperience by throwing

Ascension Two Year Anniversary

Editorial by

For two years now an org that went from whispers of being a top dog became a wolf's howl that could be heard around the tycoon landscape. Last year it was an event that shattered all of the old records. Now this year we want to put on a bigger and better event than ever before. Ascension's two year anniversary card is hoping to put the rest of the Ascension cards to shame. On the 9th of March 2013 is a date to bookmark in your calander. So far booked to appear is Victor Creed as he takes on young upstart Jamie Anderton. If you want to take part in this historic event and call out one of the Ascension fighters then let it be so and we will make it happen. Fighters such as Antonio Hong and Taj al Din are also slotted to take part in the epic event.

Commanding Entrance By Bukh Baatar

Fighter profile of Buhk Baatar by Roland Lawrence

The QFC tournaments have a way of bringing to light bright and promising young fighters. QFC Tourney 122 is a definite example of this with the debut of 20 year old clinch fighter, Bukh Baatar, from Mongolia.

Four fights, four bloody TKOs, and Bukh seemed to gain confidence and control with each match. All four fights were clearly marked by Mr. Baatar’s dominance of the clinch, and brutal elbow attacks. The commentators were beginning to criticize him for his taste for blood, and lack of tactical variance, to which Bukh replied, “I’m sure those four guys in the Emergency Room would have liked me to try something diffe

Can the Lost Art of Submissions Be Salvaged?

Editorial by Roland Lawrence

I recently stumbled upon a statistical article concerning the UFC and submission finishes. The author had looked through the first 200 fights of 2012, and recorded each result. Forty six of these fights finished with a submission (RNC being the most common), for an impressive 23%. In the real world, UFC is considered the gold standard of talent, so I thought I’d take a peek at some of our top organizations, and tally some of my own statistics.

I chose four of the most hyped orgs in the game, and looked at each of their most recent 50-60 fights. I chose (for no particular reason, other than high hype, and impressive looking fighters.) Nordic, Empire, CBK ONI, and Versus. I looked at 220 fights, and found 17 submissions, or a rate of 7.7% All of these involved disparity of belt level for the fighters, excepting 2 fights. In other words, brown belts were subbing purple belts, black belts brown belts, but only 1% of the time did a fighter with the same belt as his opponent manage a submission.

So the questions can easily start flowing from this data, and have been for some time now. Is it that the fighters are content with a brown belt, and won’t train higher? Is it the game engine? Surely just because 2 fighters have the same BJJ level doesn’t

NGF 37 Review

UNDER CARD

Featherweight Fight

#6 Diego Brandao (0-1 NGF) v #3 Andreas Almdudler (6-1 NGF)

Diego Brandao was determined to win this fight, both standing and on the ground, he respected Almdudler, but he vowed to put on a good show. Unfortunately for Brandao it appears his nerves and the more experienced fighters would be his undoing. This fight was never in doubt and I found myself feeling bad for the kid Brandao as he was taken down instantly and outside of a few desperation sub attempts, he was completely dominated. Almdudler was in total control and he pounded Diego over and over again, landing 22 ground strikes. The end was a big elbow that had Brandao’s eyes rolling around, the ref jumped in at the 4:57 point of the 1st.

Bantamweight Fight

#14 Yun Fat Chow (2-1, 0-1 NGF) v #9 Bill Nevin (9-4, 1-0 NGF)

One thing for sure, let me be clear, these two fighters are some serious warriors. They both left it all o

With a dual card weekend and a fantastic outting last weekend's card being an outstanding showing of raw power and skill, you know it's time for another super review.

BFT 177 - Hard Knock Life 2

Light Heavyweight - Antoine "A-Train" Wallace submitted Titus "Tko" Kahoohalphala with a triangle choke at 2:44 of round 1.

The fight started and Titus wanted things to go to the ground, and was successful at it. "Tko" was throwing the ground and pound looking for the TKO. They breifly stand before they hit the mats again. I don't know what happened on that takedown, but Wallace woke up. He went for a loose triangle that did nothing, but he tightened it up on a second attempt and got it. Nice.

Co-Main - Middleweight Title! - Amir "Scorpion" Khan submitted Gary "Take That" Barlow with an armbar at 1:58 of round 1 to take the vacant championship home.

Right away Barlow made this a grappling match. The two of them were looki

GAMMA Gossip Edition#6

Global Association of MMA, Fight Organization, London
Company profile by Mentor Guru Corleone

Goooood evening! GAMMA Gossip is ready to roll, with me, AC Jimbo, as your host. We’ve got a whole host of stuff to get through tonight, so without any further ado let’s get started.

We’ll begin by looking back at GAMMA 283 and 284.

First, GAMMA 283: Kuduro v Gillis in front of a sell-out crowd at the Wandalay Bay arena. Jorge Cruz quickly dismantled Jt Colossus, just as I had predicted it was really just a case of which of them could be the first to land a meaningful strike and in the end it turned out to be “The Titan”, also as I predicted it would be. Someone could be getting seriously rich following my predictions if they’re smart enough to listen to the voice of GAMMA!

The main event was over in even swifter fashion, with Danza Kuduro disposing of Jamie Gillis in just two and a half minutes. I think the crowd were actually a little disappointed that they hadn’t seen more action, but boy what a knockout it was, for which Kuduro rightfully took home the award for knockout of the night. Again, it was another correct prediction for AC Jimbo, and I’d even told you it wouldn’t make the third round – I’ll admit it, though, even I was a bit surprised at just how quick this one was over with!

Following that we were honored to tune in to GAMMA 284: Duberry v Grimes II. In the penul
