An Interview With Joe Boxer

Fighter profile of Joe Boxer by

Hello, I was lucky enough to catch up with Joe Boxer this past week and I got a great interview with him...

Thanks for joining us today Joe, how are you feeling?
Great! At the top of my game right now!

You’re coming off a huge win in your last bout, a TKO over Leroy Brow, how good did that feel?
Really good! Leroy is an old vet like me and has a lot of experience, quite frankly those are the fights that test you, you have to be aware of the fact that this guy can throw anything at you.

Well let me admit that amongst others, I thought that coming off 5 straight defeats you were one loss away from hanging them up, but you came back strong and won 5 straight, how did you do it?
Yeah, I was close to calling it a career! But I knew going up to 185 was gonna be a challenge, but being in the gym with my buddies is such a part of my life that after each loss I just went back , hit the gym hard, knowing that the wins in this division

All out Blitz in Sydney!!!

Sydney Fight Championship, Fight Organization, Sydney
Company profile by Louie DePalma

Coming to you live from the Astral Towers on Pyrmont Street in picturesque Sydney Australia, the two key masterminds behind the Australian Xtreme franchise Silver Blunt & Louie DePalma stand side by side at the head table and both men seem to be bursting with a look of excitement which is quite surprising given the time of day they have called us all here. Having apparently finished celebrating last evening’s event at the Sydney Super dome which garnered an AXF event rating record of 297.03 skyrocketing the Organization from #27 in the Global market all the way up to #5. They have moved their party to the Astral Towers to make some sort of special announcement to the MMA community.

Louie gracefully walks to the podium to begin the proceedings…” Greetings everyone who is awake at this crazy hour and to those who will be watching at home on the highlight shows!! We are happy to be here tonight to make a very special announcement that we feel will change the landscape of the Sydney MMA scene and also that of the Global market!! Please give my good friend and business partner Silver Blunt a warm welcome so he can begin w

London's Brawling

Editorial by Bricktop McKenzie

Welcome to issue 4 of London’s Brawling, due to a busy weekend this edition is being written later than usual on a Monday evening. This means that the weekends events will be included in the reviews and you’ll get an even more up to date slice of MMA wordsmith.

As well as the usual reviews and previews I have an interview with Stu Baboon, owner of one of London’s fledging orgs Heroic Warrior Championship. I’m not biased though, if any other org owners want me to highlight their org let me know. The grilling is pretty gentle, Paxman I am not.

The week that was:

With a slightly longer period to review than usual it’s going to have to be a big fight or event to get my attention, fortunately there have still been plenty of those around. We start with the new number 1 org in London, London Fight Night Club. Two big events this week catapulted them into the top slot. LFNC 95: Holiday Hangover saw Konrad Koltun defend his title against Dave Ming Chang in the main event. Koltun used the clinch well to take all 5 rounds. He is undoubtedly the top Featherweight in London at the moment.

LFNC’s second event, LFNC 96: Friday the 13th scored a massive 220.27 event rating. This was despite the main event (headlined by one of my fighters) scoring a miserable 32% fight rating (sorry about that Joe). Defying my prediction Sean Quinn retained his Welterweight Title with a 2nd round TKO of M Sgt Ernest G Bilko. At least I picked correctly in the Co-Main event as Hades Underworld retained his Middleweight Title with a 2nd round KO of Tommy Kane. cont...

Between these two they produced 6 Son's and there father got to work in training them in the ways of boxing but alas he died as his oldest son Vitali turned 18 in a train accident (the crazy fucker thought he could stop a on coming train with a wheel kick) and they seeked a place to train. Dean Sutherland a up and coming manager took the family under his wing and started sending them off to train with some of the worlds best fighters. Vitali went to Germany to train with his cousin's, the Klitschko brothers. The other brother who had just turned 18 Vlad. His story is alot more sinister than his brother who was the all round better fight. Vlad was declared insane in school after using a knife to cut open his best friend and proceeded to drink his blood. Its at this point it is rumoured where he got his love of blood. He escaped from the Prison for the insane which held notable infamous lunatics such as Viacheslav Datsik and Borats retarded brother Bilo, who were scared of what Vla

The Last Jake.

Fighter profile of WIlliam Bob by Ceasar Tomson

I find myself sitting in a bar in a little casino in northern Idaho I’m waiting for the new heavyweight number one contender “The Last Jake” William Bob.

He walks in shaking hands with everyone as he makes his way over to the table. After he takes a few pictures everyone leaves him to his interview, very respectful.

They seem to love and Respect you here? Bob: Yea these are my people, this is actually where I got my start I worked as Security here and trained when I wasn’t here.

So a question on everyone’s mind! What’s with the last Jake?

Bob: Funny Story

From the Plains of Oklahoma to the isles of Japan

Fighter profile of Carl Mills by Speedy Gonzaitev

Carl grew up in Oklahoma without a father and a mother that came and go as she pleased and Carl pretty much grew up alone with 3 sisters to look after. He got good grades in school and was picked on alot. 1 day everything came to a boil while he was a SR in highschool, everything seemed to go wrong and the school bullies picked the wrong day to mess with him. With a wild left haymaker he nailed the biggest one on the chin and KO him cold, he then chased down the other one, tripped him, got ontop of him and continued to punch until his arms couldnt move anymore.

He was quickly arrested, charge with assault, given probation and suspended from school. His mom kicked him out of the house and he then went to live with his cousin, they where like brothers and got into alot of trouble on the streets, nobody could be either of them. After a few years of street fighting they both meet girls got married and both went there different ways.
