Hello HERO fight fans. I'm AJ Nex. Every week seems to be a great one in HERO and this week was no exception. Two great fight cards took place. Wednesday night was Movember Spectacular, which was headlined by a featherweight title fight between Antero Wursty and Zhijing Wang. Then, on Saturday, HERO 44 was stacked with three main event calibre fights. Both events were sponsored bu our great partner FinnSubs.

The sponsorships offered by FinnSubs benefitted HERO fighters, putting more money in their pockets and more supplements in their possession. FinnSubs has been a big supporter, so don't forget to thank them in post fight interviews.

Speaking of the future, our next event, HERO 45, will be the 60th event in HERO history. It will also be the first PPV event in HERO history. To headline, we have two of the top ranked HERO fighters in our strongest division going head to head. Its a middleweight war between Albert Fish and Eddie Torrez.

As part of the festivities, there will be new members inducted into the Hall of fame. The names of the newest members will be announced in next week's edition of HERO Weekly News.

Without further ado, here is what happened last week:

HERO Movember Spectacular

Several of the more experienced fighters showed up sporting some pretty crazy mustaches for this card, while the fans got a good chuckle out of the peachfuzz on the lips of some of the 18 year olds.

Undercard:

Valko Hai knew it was his last fight in HERO, so he made the most of it with an Americana submission win over fellow lightweight Mikko Neva.

In light heavyweight action, veteran fighter Key Chain scored an early but vicious KO win over the struggling Rob Tandy.

Weltterweight Orpo Jokinen quickly moved to mount and locked in an armbar against Hooligan Nick

Remaining with the welterweights, Ollilan Jorma sliced up Cortland Cartwright with elbows until the ref ended this bloodbath.

Up and coming middleweight Taisto Rahapussi scored a TKO win over Karl Sinc.

Main Card

Ken Hall 's ground and pound was on full display as he pounded out Ieuan Williams in a heavyweight tilt.

In the middleweight division, Walter Sullivan and Trouble Some fought a three round standup war, with Sullivan taking the decision.

Charles Cooper exerted his dominance over grappler Jake Shields with a first round TKO in a welterweight clash.

In our co-main event, middleweight Christian Olson KO'd Atte Peltola with his special brand of ground dominance.

The main event featured two star featherweights battling for the belt. Antero Wursty landed a beautiful supermain punch in the second round to retain his title against former lightweight champ Zhijing Wang.

After a main event with a devastating KO, fans were itching for more. A fight card loaded with talent was sure not to disappoint.

HERO 44: Triple Threat

This night was stacked with champions, former champions, and I am sure a few future ones as well. It was definitely a sight to behold.

Undercard

The action was started by heavyweight Rorion Marcellado arm barring Frank Whyte.

Liu Kang showed that he is a prospect that needs to be watched in themiddleweight division with a guillotine choke of Johnny Lau.

In the featherweight division, Jacky Ler dominated but couldn't get the finish against Octavio Ramos.

Hakuma Hariyuoki landed a beautiful combination early to KO light heavyweight veteran Robert Kawasaki.

Thirty seconds is all it took for heavyweight Iivana Jalo to continue the slide of former contender Banka Jansson.

Main Card

Andrzej Rostowski had a nice kimura submission of Liam Nate, which impressed all the fans in attendance.

Bantamweight Jacek Kowalski pulled off something called the triple decker pecker wrecker. Whatever it is, its the first time it has ever been pulled off in HERO, earning him a win over Matti Teitsi. After the fight, he called for a title shot, which was probably a little premature.

The welterweight title was on the line as Virgil Morgan squared off with Cockle Boffle. Boffle put up a valiant effort, but Morgan took it on all three judges scorecards.

Jarkko Vaakku plans to drop in weight, but exited the middleweight division on a high note. His decision win over Eliod Bunkley Iii should have the welterweights on notice.

In the main event of the evening, the number one contendership for the featherweight crown was on the line. Maarten Van Der Moot needed less than a minute to KO former champ Georgi Todorov and give himself a chance to be the first two division champion in HERO history.

KO of the night: Hakuma Hariyuoki Sub of the night: Jacek Kowalski Fight of the night: Virgil Morgan vs Cockle Boffle

Don't forget, HERO 45: Fish vs Torrez II takes place live on PPV on November 24. Hall of Fame announcements will follow this fight card! Until next week, this is AJ Nex signing off.
