MAIN CARD

Bantamweight Title Fight

Lutz Knitter-CHAMP (11-3, 2-1 NGF)vs Arthur Pirozhkov (8-1, 6-1 NGF)

Okay, let’s try this again. The amazing Arthur Pirozhkov lost his belt and suffered his 1st career loss to Lutz Knitter just 20 days ago! Knitter batter “Playboy” for 5 rounds. Lutz landed just about anything he wanted. Pirozhkov has to change his game plan this time around. Arthur for the 1st time in his career looked lost and confused. He spent the entire fight trying for takedowns and this left him exhausted. Lutz may have exposed a weakness last fight, we’ll see if Arthur learned anything, let’s just hope he throws a few strikes this time around. I think we have a FOTN candidate here. PREDICTION: Knitter, 3rd round TKO.

Heavyweight Title Fight

Leifur Le-CHAMP (5-3, 2-0 NGF) vs Oleg Alekseev (7-3, 3-1 NGF)

Deja vu number two! Alekseev wanted a rematch right after the 1st fight, saying that the low kick that started the fight was what helped Le win. As you remember, Lee started the fight with a front kick right to the nuts of Alekseev. It took the full 5 minutes for Oleg to recover, and most thought he never recovered. “Alex” never did look right, spending most of the time trying for takedowns, all the while taking major punishment from Leifur. Alekseev has said he will get his belt back while Le responds back with “I’ll just have to kick him in the ding dong again!” This is gonna be good!! PREDICTION: Alekseev 4th round KO.

Heavyweight Fight

Raul Zergopalitix (5-2, 1-1 NGF)vs Ulisiaz Crunch (4-2, 1-2 NGF)

“Zergling” Zergoplitix and “Cpt” Crunch are two fighters that are still trying to figure themselves out. Zergopalitix is coming off a nice win vs Tweek Sanguine at NGF 22. He likes to be very aggressive and sometimes that get’s him caught by submission. He is a powerful striker who I think should have little problem winning this one. Crunch is very good on the mat, but lacks a lot at the standup game. He will try and get this down, but even then I don’t think he has much of an advantage, if one at all. Crunch doesn’t seem to be in a very happy place and the low morale might hinder his fighting. PREDICTION: Zergopalitix 1st round submission.

Middleweight Fight

Mikhail Rakhmanov (4-0, 1-0 NGF) vs Jacob Miller (7-8, 2-2 NGF)

Mikhail Rakhmanov looks to move to 5-0 in his career and wants to show the NGF that he is a force inside the middleweight division. Mikhail won his first 2 career fights with SOTN awards, but then he focused on rounding out his game. His last two wins have been TKO and he destroyed Pavel Malenko in his first NGF fight. Jacob Miller has been all over the place. He is on a 2 fight win streak, after being on a 3 fight losing streak and winning just 1 time over 6 fights. He is talented, and has submitted his last two opponents. This has signs to be a very good fight, and we could see a real burner if it goes to the mat. PREDICTION: Miller decision win.

Light Heavyweight Fight

Brett Riverboat (7-2, 2-2 NGF) vs Vinicius Oliveira (2-1, 2-0 NGF)

“Knifeman” Riverboat comes in on a two fight winning streak and looks to end “Vinny” Oliveira’s two fight win streak. Riverboat has stopped his last two fighters with TKO wins, both under 2:30 minutes. He has exceptional boxing skills, but has very good wrestling skill also. A dangerous fighter with major power, he has 4 KO wins in his career. Vinicius Oliveira is a talented fighter, but he still has a lot to improve on. He tried to be a ground fighter at his first career fight, but did not look good, so he has tried to keep it standing the last two fights. Brett Riverboat looks like he’s more skilled and a little further along in his development at this point. PREDICTION: Riverboat 2nd round TKO.

PRELIMS

Heavyweight Fight

Rinky Spider (3-0, 1-0 NGF) vs Kullervo Pelli (5-3, 2-1 NGF)

Rinky Spider is on a 3 fight winning streak after winning his NGF debut back at NGF Fight Night 6 vs Petr Jakovlev with a head kick. Just 20 years old, Spider looks like a real powerhouse in the heavyweight division. He has major power, and as shown with his head kick KO last fight, he isn’t just a puncher. He can end a fight quickly and holds 2 KOTN awards. Kullervo Pelli is coming off a decision loss vs Ivan Kuznetsov at NGF 22. He is one of the most feared punchers in the heavyweight division and can “rag doll” the best. All 5 of his career wins have been by KO. This could be our FOTN or at least have the KOTN. I can’t wait for this one. PREDICTION: Spider 2nd round KO.

Bantamweight Fight

Jon Erik Andersen (8-7, 2-3 NGF) vs Jonathan Brookins (8-3, 1-1 NGF)

Jon Erik Andersen tries once again to start a streak or to at least show some consistency. Andersen at 29 years old is one of the older fighters in the NGF. He has not been able to be a consistent fighter, he is 3-4 over his last 7 fights. Andersen has very good Muay Thai skills so he looks to clinch and hammer away with some good knees. Jonathan Brookins is coming off a TKO win vs John Johnson at NGF 23. The TKO win was just the 2nd fight that Brookins has been able to finish. He is an exceptional boxer, but lacks the big power, he is quick and uses the stick and move tactics. Jonathan Brookins is a very good fighter, he is 6-1 in his last 7 and he’s looking to get another title shot. Sucks he’s on a undercard. PREDICTION: Brookins decision win.

Welterweight Fight

Daemon Mustacho (2-0, NGF DEBUT) vs Edvard Westerlund (6-4, 1-2 NGF)

It’s sad to see where Edvard Westerlund career has gone. Edvard won his first 5 career fights. He was highly sought after and he had so much potential, but after weight class switch and then back again, his career has totally turned. He has just 1 win in his last 4 and he is coming of being KO’ed out just 20 seconds in at NGF 22. He has told one media member that he’s having doubts about fighting. That can’t help. Daemon Mustacho has entered the NGF on a 2 fight winning streak. A pure stand up fighter to this point in his career. He has shown plenty of striking skills in his first 2 fights, both boxing and in the clinch. No idea how he would do on the mat, since he hasn’t been there yet. I don’t think this fight will last that long and unfortunately, I think Westerlund will suffer another loss. PREDICTION: Mustacho 1st round TKO.

Welterweight Fight

Carlos Rey (4-0, NGF DEBUT) vs Pavel Petrov (4-2, NGF DEBUT)

Two newcomers to the NGF, two very talented guys who I feel will make an impact on the welterweight division. Carlos “Cue Cuacho” Rey has won all 4 of his career fights. A wonderful boxer who can wrestle very well also, he is a treat on and off his feet. Pavel “The Absolute” Petrov is a very similar fighter, the do many of the same things well. Petrov has won his last 3 fights, and leaves the Animal Day Combat Championship as the current welterweight title holder. This will be a very entertaining undercard fight. PREDICTION: Rey 3rd round TKO.

Lightweight Fight

Reggie Smack (3-4, 2-4 NGF) vs Jigfu Cambrona (7-4, 0-2 NGF)

I’m not sure what to think of this matchup. It’s the first fight of the night, and it will probably be in front of about 12 people, all relatives of these two fighters. Neither fighter is doing anything inside the NGF at this point. Reggie “Whip” Smack shows a very fragile state. He seems to get down quickly and looks like every loss really weighs on him. He is a very well-conditioned fighter, he has good punching power, but he seems to not understand how to adapt his game or maybe even how to game plan for a fighter. Jigfu “Egle Claw” Cambrona has lost his last two fights and has just 1 win in his last 4. He does have good power, but since moving from the welterweight to lightweight, he just doesn’t seem to have the same power as he’s shown. I want to say Cambrona is the better fighter, but I do think this will be a close fight and it could go either way. PREDICTION: Smack 2nd round TKO.
