Enjoy a great preview of this weekends event from Bubba McFistercuffs. Grab your Gas Masks and Riot Gear because when Tapout or Passout 35 Raid kicks into gear and the lights go this Saturday night there will be war! The Hard Knocks arena will be home to just that as many of ToPs top fighters are looking to make some noise, with the headlining bout has the Welterweight Title up for grabs!
The main card starts with two hungry Lightweights!
"The Big Dogger" Kaspars Daugavins vs "Pieter" Pieter Pieter
The Big Dogger enters this match on a two fight win streak that was highlighted with his most recent victory of Valko Dragov that earned Fight of the Night honours! Daugavins bring truly Eilte Boxing skills that has his opponents wondering if he has cinder blocks for hands! He is no slouch on the ground either and can grapple with the best. Pieter Pieter will certainly be a stern test of those grappling skills. Pieter is a winner of three of his last four bouts, with the only loss coming in a title challenge against Connor McManus. Pieter's ground game resembles a grizzly bear mauling it's dinner. Pieter has a nearly unmatched wrestling Pedigree and exerts his will on his opponents without mercy.
Harry Pigeon vs "Jumpin" Tommy James
Harry Pigeon rose to true fame after his back-to-back wars with Jimbo Slice at ToPs 19 and 24, with both matches earning Fight of the Night honours! Harry followed that up with a thoroughly impressive KO of Chester gates and is now a winner of four of his last five fights. Harry brings crisp boxing and devastating wrestling and as we know, this Country Boy Can Survive! His opponents rarely do. Someone hoping to prove that untrue, "Jumpin" Tommy James is riding a five fight win streak and with four of those wins coming via KO, James isn't likely to shy away from standing and trading! James also brings strong wrestling and ground skills, but this fight seems destined to stay standing, violent, and someone is probably going get their lights turned out!
Romero "Mayhem" Jacare vs "Iron" Meldrick Tyson
A veteran of the octagon and fan favourite Romero Jacare brings his 10-4 record tonight in what could be his biggest challenge to date! Romero is a well-studied student of MMA with four wins via KO and five via submissions and has always demonstrated excellent game-planning and execution. He has strong boxing skills, but its his wrestling and brown belt BJJ that most often pays the bills! Romero will have to plan well as he welcomes Tapout or Passout newcomer "Iron" Meldrick Tyson from the MLC ranks where he went 5-0-1 in his six fights there and sports a thoroughly impressive 9-1-1 record overall. Tyson has his fair share of KO victories on his resume and has grinded out some very impressive decisions, so he has the gas tank to bring it until the final bell sounds! Tyson sports Muay Thai of near god-like stature! His clinch was recently named the 'Least Comfortable Place on Earth". It's like Gitmo decided to give you a never-ending hug. His Wrestling skills should not be overlooked either and overall his game is somehow both well-rounded AND razor sharp!
Nick "Bender" Ellenberger vs Blu "The Leaning Tower" Pisa
Ellenberger has been on a meteoric rise lately after his back-to-back wars with Matt Sabre, both of which Ellenberger too along with Fight of the Night honours BOTH times. Those wars led him to earn a title shot against the fighter in our main card and defending ToP Champion Dmitriy Bobtsov. Ellenberger is not doubt hungry to earn a convincing victory here tonight and get another shot at the title! Ellenberger bread-and-butter is in Boxing and Beatdowns with seven of his ten wins coming via KO. No matter where the fights goes, Ellenberger is a fighter always looking for the knockout and has three KO of the Night honours on his resume. Ellenberger will have quite the dance partner in "The Leaning Tower". Blu Pisa is a violent creature and all around Bad Mamma Jamma. Blu is a professional headhunter and also has seven victories via KO. And not to be outdone by Ellenberger, Blu has FOUR KO of the Night awards! Blu has also had a recent loss in a title shot against Bobtsov and the winner here tonight is all but guaranteed another shot at the machine they call Bob. You don't need to check your crystal ball to guess this fight is going to finish with only one man standing!
Welterweight Title Bout
Jaemin Jeong vs Dmitriy Bobtsov
Jaemin Jeong will step into the spotlight of the largest Gladitorial Battle perhaps in the history of Tapout or Passout! Jeong is a winner of seven of his eight last fights and has now earned the right to fight for the Lightweight Title! Jeong has carved out an excellent 8-2 record with ALL of his victories coming via Submissions! He is a proving finisher and an aggressive combatant. His perfect storm of All-World Wrestling and unmatched BJJ. How will our challenger fair against Tapout or Passout's truest titan, the Three-Time Defending Welterweight Champion Dmitriy Bobtsov? The Champ is sporting an 8-1 record with it's only blemish long forgotten on his ascent to greatness. As we all know Bobtsov is known for one thing, and that is knocking his opponent's the hell out! All eight of his wins have come via KO and no opponent has even made it past the first round with Bobtsov in his past five fights! Did I mention three of those were Title Fights? Yes I did, but that just makes him all the more impressive! Here's guessing that Jeong won't want to stand and trade shots for long, but can Jeong get the champ on his back and do what no other fighter has managed? We will have to see Saturday night!
