TWD Aggression 20

Event Preview: TWD Aggression 20
The Wild Den(150k+)
2013-01-25, Rio de Janeiro, Hard Knocks - Rio
Author:Xavier Zane

Whoo! The 20th Aggression and it's hot in here! Rio de Janeiro once again is the place to be. So without further ado, i'm Roy Goos, and let's get to it!

So after a special request by Xavier Zane, the owner, i will my pre/re-views going from the undercard to the main event. In reverse, so to speak. So here's the lower card.

Jaguncincho Cabramacho vs. Chris Sabre will see Cabramacho via TKO (Punches) in the 2nd round, 3rd minute.

Anderson Silvas vs. Duda Robinson sees Robinson with K.O (Punch) in the 1st round, 1:30.

Gabs Nunes vs. Fish Nak will have Nak win via Submission (Guillotine) in the 1st round, 2:50

Lee Jackson vs. Rafael Silva is gonna see Lee Jackson via K.O (Punches) in the 2nd round, 1:00

Sylvian Sauvage vs. Aerelius Schultes, TKO Strikes for Schultes in the 3rd round, 2:10

Fight #6: Ugor Makinwa vs. Johnny Sanders

"Synyster" Sanders faces Ugor Makinwa in hopes of continuing his win streak of 6 fights, extending it to 7. Makinwa as on such a roll before until offered a title shot, in a losing effort. Sanders is the younger fighter, but also a bit less diverse than Makinwa. Makinwa has a distinct advantage standing up, and on the ground they're evenly matched. Sanders has yet to prove he has K.O power, as Makinwa so far has only won via (T)KO. An intresting match-up between two very good athelete's. I will personally watch this one closely.

I'm calling Ugor Makinwa via K.O (Punch) in the 3rd round, 2:30.

---

Fight #7: Thomas Jackson vs. Jose Paru.

"TJ" Thomas Jackson takes on the younger and more popular "Fish" Jose Paru. Wait... fish..? Really? Anyway. This match is rather hard to call. Jose Paru has a small stand-up advantage while on the ground, he'll lose to the BJJ of "T.J". Jose has been in more fights than "T.J" while Jose has been more successful in his career so far, having fought 8 times with only 1 loss. I personally hope to see Jose pick this one up, but i think the older "T.J" has this one in the bag.

Thomas Jackson via Submission (Triangle Choke) in the 2nd round, 2:40

----

Fight #8: Michael Alves vs. Sergio Aguero.

Sergio vs. Michael will be an oddball contest. They have about the equal skill in Clinch, and are both pretty good wrestlers, although i've seen better. Alves's superior boxing could possibly get him the victory along with a K.O of the night award. But if Aguero's wrestling is just a bit too much for Alves and he has the chance for a submission, i'd give him the submission of the night. I don't expect much clinching, unless it'll lead to a beautiful slam takedown. I have a feeling that's the way it's gonna end. Just a wild guess, but you never know.

Michael Alves via TKO (Slam) in the 2nd round, 1:15.

The CO-Main Event: Sir Jecht (c) vs. Oberyn Martell ~ 170lbs title!

T.W.D Hall Of Famer, "The Onion Knight" (All bow.) Sir Jecht takes on rising star, "The Red Viper" Oberyn Martell. Sir Jecht has won 10 fights of the 11. He received five "Of The Night" awards. He's one of the most hyped fighters. He has Elite Wrestling, and note that as i tell you all this, he is only 23 years young. This man has a bright future ahead of him. Let's not forget Oberyn. Oberyn's skill is a bit more diverse, and is of the same age as Sir Jecht. He has been undefeated so far, And is one of the many successful fighters of A Pimp Named Slickback. But as much as i respect Slicky, i'm...

Calling Sir Jecht via TKO (Strikes) in the 3rd round, 2:50, retaining his title for the 2nd time in a row, 8th title win in his career. Impressive.

---

THE MAIN EVENT: Phoenix Valentine vs. Antonio Carlos Ferreira (c) - 265lbs title

A Pimp Named Slickback has returned to fight with Antonio C. Ferreira, the 265lbs title holder. Ferreira has been undefeated since starting his MMA career, and has been inducted into the T.W.D Hall Of Fame. A very impressive feat for the 22 year old. In the other corner we have a determined Phoenix Valentine. A very popular fighter amongst the fans. And what's better? He's a champion! This man hopes to steal Ferreira's title to hold two titles. The 205lbs title, and the 265 title? Intresting. Ferreira has superior stand-up in both boxing and clinch. But if Valentine takes it to the floor, we will see a short match, i believe. I believe we will see a new champion in the 265lbs division. A bad night to be Slickback, i guess.

Valentine via Submission (Strikes) in the 4th round, 2:10, winning the 265 title.
