 Battle Royale Fighting Championship returns to The Underground, Tokyo Arena on 7th April with “BRFC6: Sunday Rage”! Not only will the fans get to witness a full card of 10 bouts on the night, but two exciting championship fights with the welterweight and featherweight title on the line!

 

“The Machine” Matthew Connor (4-0-0) vs Illias “The Tazmanian Beast” Stefano (4-0-0) – 170lbs welterweight title

 

Having literally punched his way to securing the welterweight title and becoming the first ever BRFC champion in the 170lbs division, Matthew Connor has made a huge impression and proved to be a great champion in his young MMA career. The American Muay Thai specialist will look to make his first title defense against “The Tazmanian Beast” himself, Illias Stefano. Stefano earned his shot for the welterweight gold with three straight victories in a row during his BRFC career, all coming by way of some nasty and most vicious ground ‘n pound. These two undefeated warriors will take to the cage on Sunday, 7th April to see who will be leaving with the welterweight title around their waist!

 

Akira Yasuharu (4-0-0) vs Jamille Sedfenor (4-0-0) – 145lbs featherweight title

 

Japanese sensation, Akira Yasuharu became the first fighter to be crowned champion in Battle Royale Fighting Championship history when he knocked out Lorenzo Mclain at “BRFC3: Champions Road” in 3 minutes 31 seconds – his longest bout in his MMA career. In fact, his four fights so far has only amounted to a little over one 5 minute round! He has finished all his opponents in devastating fashion and will look to continue his fine form when he squares off with top contender, Jamille Sedfenor. A natural born finisher himself, Sedfenor possesses some heavy hands, but it is his slick submission skills that have earned him the honor to be the first to test Yasuharu for the featherweight gold as he finished all his opponents by way of submission – most recently taking out the veteran Ryo Yoshimitsu via guillotine chock.

 

Eisei Fumiaki (2-0-0) vs Lorenzo “Lucky” Mclain (4-1-0) – 145lbs featherweight

 

Eisei Fumiaki has proven to be a force to be reckoned with in the 145lbs division – his award winning victories over Ieyan Reve (via triangle armbar) and more recently Kenji Nagamoto (by an impressive head kick), he has demonstrated his versatility and how dangerous he is both on his feet and on the ground. Lorenzo Mclain may have come up short against the current champion, Akira Yasuharu, but he still remains one of the top in the division. “Lucky” Mclain will aim to using his outstanding boxing skills to fight his way back into title contention by looking to take out the Muay Thai and BJJ expert, Fumiaki.

 

Cesario Montana (2-1-0) vs Takeru "柔術の" Masaru (0-0-0) – 155lbs lightweight

 

In the lightweight division we have two top level wrestlers facing off in the form of Cesario Montana and MMA newcomer, Takeru Masaru. The Swiss, Montana made his BRFC debut at “BRFC3: Champions Road” with a unanimous decision victory over Sergio Moreira. Not known to possess the most fan-friendly of fighting style, Montana has been able to grind and clinch his way to victory against his opponents. He will likely to have his work cut out when he welcomes Tekeru Masaru to the BRFC cage, as he will be taking on an equally decorated wrestler. The Japanese, Masaru will be making both his BRFC and MMA debut at “BRFC6: Sunday Rage” and will look to display his wrestling and BJJ skills on the night.

 

Kazimierz Deyna (1-2-0) vs Ryo “Typhoon” Matsuoka (0-0-0) – 185lbs middleweight

 

In the middleweight division, two talented strikers will be pitted against each other as the Polish, Kazimierz Deyna takes on Japanese newcomer, Ryo Matsuoka. Coming off a 48 second loss to Renzo Destamante, Deyna will look to bounce back and show off his versatile striking game to lead him to victory. Ryo “Typhoon” Matsuoka will be entering the BRFC cage for the first time making his MMA debut. A karate expert with a good wrestling base, these two warriors will look to put on a good show once the cage door closes!

 

Ryo "Shinigami" Yoshimitsu (4-4-1) vs “Monster” Ula Cleo (1-2-0) – 145lbs featherweight

 

The well rounded veteran, Ryo Yoshimitsu will take on BJJ brown belt, Ula Cleo in a fight were both men be looking to getting back to winning ways. One of the most experienced fighter In BRFC, “Shinigami” Yoshimitsu came up short against current title contender, Jamille Sedfenor at “BRFC3: Champions Road”. He will be looking to bounce back from that defeat and work his way up for a shot at the featherweight title one day. The Polish, “Monster” Cleo is on a two fight losing streak, having most recently fallen to the hands of Junior Dos Santos at “BRFC2: Be Nasty Day”. The BJJ expert will be looking to take this fight to the ground and demonstrate the true skills he possesses.

 

Michael “The BoneCrusher” Millar (1-1-1) vs Cliff Bheardine (0-0-0) – 170lbs welterweight

 

Two talented individuals will square off to see where they lie within the stacked 170lbs division, as Michael Millar takes on Cliff Bheardine at “BRFC6: Sunday Rage”. The well-rounded “BoneCrusher” Millar has yet to taste victory in the BRFC cage, but the powerful brawler will look to use all facets of his skill sets to get a win over a tough newcomer, Cliff Bheardine. Hailing for the United States, talented wrestler Bheardine will look to dazzle the fans with his crisp striking ability as he is set for his BRFC and MMA debut.

 

Apollo Buttchecks (1-2-1) vs Saki Rojo (1-1-0) – 185lbs middleweight

 

Having opened his MMA career with a victory, Apollo Buttchecks has yet to taste another one of those since joining BRFC. But the strong and determined Ethiopian always comes to fight and never afraid of what competition lies ahead. He will be welcoming tough Andorran grappler, Saki Rojo as he makes his BRFC debut on 7th April at The Underground arena.

 

Frank Silver (0-0-0) vs Jose “Destructor” Castro (0-3-0) – 185lbs middleweight

 

Also in the middleweight division, Frank Silver will make his MMA debut against Jose Castro. The Ecuadorian, “Destructor” Castro is riding a three fight losing streak and will look to put an end to that on Sunday night up against the heavy handed American, Silver. Both men are very talented boxers and there it is unlikely we be seeing this fight going to the ground… Until one man gets dropped like a sack off spuds of course…!

 

Ostrog Zavurov (0-0-0) vs Sahey "The Shadow" Ignatyev (0-1-0) – 155lbs lightweight

 

Two men making their BRFC debuts will kick things off on the night for “BRFC6: Sunday Rage”, as Ostrog Zavurov takes on Sahey Ignatyev in the lightweight division. If fights were contested by name pronunciation, these two men would be the in a hell of fight! But don’t let their names fool you, Zavurov and Ignatyev are two truly tough competitors. The Russian, Zavurov has some wonderful boxing skills as he will look to use to full effect against “The Shadow” Ignatyev’s Muay Thai and wrestling pedigree.

 

It’s an action packed event with many BRFC great involved and two championship titles on the line!  You can go to mass, say your prays, but nothing is going to stop the rage being unleashed this Sunday at “BRFC: Sunday Rage”!!
