[Official Fight Card]

[Preliminary Card]

-[Welterweight bout]: Courtney Drake vs. Ka Bann

-[Results]: Ka Bann managed to keep this fight on the ground where the two fighters were virtually even. Despite the wrestling disadvantage, Drake held his own on the ground; he advanced position constantly and was working for a submission or ground n pound finish of his own. Despite his efforts, Ka Bann did just enough to win over the majority of the judges and earn him a victory here. Ka Bann def. Courtney Drake via Split Decision (30-27, 28-29, 30-27).

-[Middleweight bout]: Judge Nelson vs. William Adama

-[Results]: The power of William Adama was on display early in this fight as he dropped Nelson with a combination of strikes. Despite this, and his volume of accurate strikes which won him the fight, I have to question the game plan here for a minute. William Adama is a pure striker with no grappling experience whatsoever yet he spent half the fight shooting for takedowns against a guy that dabbles in Jujitsu. What if he got a takedown and got submitted? He won the fight but I seriously question how far the young striker can go given this performance. William Adama def. Judge Nelson via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

-[Middleweight bout]: Zyd XV vs. Suriya Pinphet

-[Results]: The majority of this fight was spent in the clinch. Both fighters seemed to want it but Pinphet clearly benefited from it the most. Pinphet landed a nightmare onslaught of elbows, knees, and punches in the clinch while XV just seemed a bit lost. Suyria Pinphet is already a talented striker and he's only nineteen so it's exciting to see how far he can go. Suriya Pinphet def. Zyd XV via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Chris Harrington vs. Jimbo Mimbo

-[Results]: Early on while in the clinch, Chris Harrington seemed to be destroying Mimbo with knees to the face and body. Jimbo Mimbo looked exhausted and was in serious trouble- normally when a fighter is that tired, he's on the short road to a knockout loss. Not Mimbo. He landed a beautiful double leg and completely smashed Harrington on the ground before locking in the kimura to end the fight. Jimbo Mimbo def. Chris Harrington via Submission (Kimura) at 3:55 of round 1.

-[Heavyweight bout]: Roz Dee vs. Kibbe Sly

-[Results]: This was an excellent fight between two great fighters. Roz Dee came into this fight as arguably the more skilled of the two fighters what with his boxing base and growing Jujitsu game. I expected Dee to try to keep it standing so he could score a knockout over Sly but instead he chose to fight in Sly's world- and he paid dearly for it. Roz Dee was emotional in defeat, believing himself to be the superior of the two fighters. This confidence may have cost him, however. You may be a great swimmer but you don't challenge a shark in the deep end. Kibbe Sly def. Roz Dee via Submission (Rear Naked) at 4:58 of round 2.

[Main Card]

-[Middleweight bout]: Jeremy Kroft vs. Scott Banks

-[Results]: Scott Banks was in clear control of the fight in the first round of this bout. He clearly out struck Jeremy Kroft until the final buzzer sounded. Call it overconfidence, call it bad luck, whatever; Kroft came into the second round fired up and started landing some of the nastiest head kicks this commentator has ever seen. The first one was a counter to a missed jab and the second one came out of nowhere. Jeremy Kroft def. Scott Banks via Knockout (Head Kick) at 0:24 of round 2.

-[Bantamweight bout]: Tony Goldman vs. Darrius Styles

-[Results]: After securing a takedown Darrius Styles found himself in a world of trouble as the brown belt Goldman swept him, started going to work with his ground n pound offensive, and began to hunt for submissions. After rocking Styles with the ground strikes, it was only a matter of time really. Tony Goldman def. Darrius Styles via Submission (Arm Triangle) at 1:53 of round 1.

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Sheng Jen Kuo vs. David Swain

-[Results]: Sheng Jen Kuo looked amazing here: he landed several shots on the feet before taking Swain down and getting a submission on his second attempt. This fight was over before it even had a chance to begin. Sheng Jen Kuo def. David Swain via Submission (Arm Triangle) at 0:59 of round 1.

[Co-Main Event]

-[Middleweight bout]: Henkka Reem vs. Zack Barch

-[Results]: In the battle between two undefeated submission fighters, Henkka Reem proved once again why he is one of the hottest prospects in UPF. He got a takedown almost immediately and despite a submission attempt from Barch, Reem pressed the action with his own submissions before locking one on. Awesome work, Reem. Henkka Reem def. Zack Barch via Submission (Arm Triangle) at 2:23 of round 1.

[Main Event]

-[Welterweight bout]: Reijo Rymy vs. Sebastien Deveraux

-[Results]: After struggling to make weight prior to the fight, Reijo Rymy arguably won the first round on the ground. The tone of the fight quickly changed as Rymy became completely exhausted and actually got rocked late in the second round. In the third round, Sebastien smelled blood and went in for the kill. Sebastien Deveraux def. Reijo Rymy via TKO (Punches) at 0:22 of round 3.
