Scrapyard - Todd vs Kingston is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by Scapyard: New York on April 24, 2013 at Wild Bob's Bar in New York, USA.

Background

After the rampant success of the auspicious opening event, the fans began to anticipate when Scrapyard Fights would return to New York for another demonstration. With the bar set higher than ever, Scrapyard Fights has constructed a new fight card complete with exciting new faces and a few familiar ones as well to bring the show to a new pinnacle.

A special note of gratitude must be shared to the event sponsor and top quality nutrition aficionado known as Crazy Cow Co. Their top quality product is sold out at the time of this writing so my word of recommendation would be to pay close attention and order your product once they hit the shelves again.

Their website is: http://mmatycoon.com/nutritionpublic.php?ncid=2232

And I would be negligent in my duties as a promoter were I to forget to mention their forum link: http://www.mmatycoon.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=34630

Official Fight Card

Note: To recognize the growing list of active fighters, I have begun to mention two records by each fighter's name. The first score is their overall professional record. The second score is their Scrapyard record. Most of the fighters on this card did not debut on the opening card but a few did so I felt that it was pertinent to give credit where such a thing is due.

-[Heavyweight bout]: Ron Collin (4-4) (N/A) versus Doctor Mundo (0-1) (N/A)

-[Preview]: Ron Collin is a boxer that mixes it up by shooting for takedowns. From top control he lands with ground n pound to smash foes. Doctor Mundo is a boxer with a blue belt in Jujitsu and some wrestling mixed in. In his debut fight, Mundo got controlled by a superior wrestler. When Mundo landed, he hurt his opponent, but he was unable to connect enough to end the fight.

-[Middleweight bout]: Trenton Clements (3-3) (N/A) versus Dastan Drake (0-0) (N/A)

-[Preview]: Trenton Clements is a freestyle fighter that utilizes a combination of punches, kicks, and takedowns to out point opponents. Dastan Drake is a high level wrestler with a vast experience in Brazilian Jujitsu who is making his professional debut here.

-[Welterweight bout]: Duke Nukem (0-0) (N/A) versus CJ Stenner (2-0) (N/A)

-[Preview]: Nukem is a grappler that has experience in both wrestling and Jujitsu who is making his professional debut. CJ Stenner is a clinch fighter that utilizes brutal elbows and knees to wreck opponents.

-[Middleweight bout]: Mijatovic Dusan (1-2) (N/A) versus Gerd Stenner (2-0) (N/A)

-[Preview]: Both Mijatovic Dusan and Gerd Stenner are pure Jujitsu fighters that rely on their submissions to beat opponents. Neither is really much good anywhere else so it will be interesting to see who can get the upper hand on the ground.

-[Welterweight bout]: Garry Cancova (3-4) (N/A) versus Gleison Nibar (5-0) (N/A)

-[Preview]: Gleison Nibar makes his long awaited Scrapyard debut after an amazing run in the regional circuit. He started his career in the QFC 152 Welterweight Tournament where he took home the championship by knocking our or submitting every opponent that he faced. He enters this organization with a tremendous amount of hype behind him. Garry Cancova would love to shock the MMA world by catching Nibar and beating him at his own game. Cancova is a kickboxer that also has a limited array of submissions at his disposal as well.

-[Heavyweight bout]: Al Konigshof (1-1) (1-0) versus Kaz Inad (3-4) (N/A)

-[Preview]: Al Konigshof is a wrestler that utilizes ground n pound against opponents. He last fought at the promotion's debut event where he defeated Glenn Schmitz with such a style. Kaz Inad is a kickboxer that is talented in the clinch and on the ground as well. Against various opponents, Inad uses various styles and approaches in an attempt to defeat them. To beat him, you have to overwhelm him because if you leave him to his own wits, he will strike with everything he has.

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Noah Todd (0-1) (N/A) versus Eddie Kingston (2-1) (N/A)

-[Preview]: Noah Todd is a well rounded fighter that didn't get to his his class. In his only professional fight, he was overwhelmed in the regional light-heavyweight tournament. Eddie Kingston is a great boxer who throws a tremendous volume of punch combinations on foes.

-[Heavyweight bout]: Jaquan Williams (2-0) (N/A) versus Vinko Pintaric (1-0) (1-0)

-[Preview]: This will be a fun fight to see who can assert themselves first. Williams is a ground n pound specialist that uses his wrestling to control opponents and smash them. Vinko is a wrestler by trade but in his lone fight he beat the living hell out of his opponent with his limited boxing arsenal.

(Jaquan Williams)

-[Record]: 2-0 (2 KO)

-[Style]: Ground n Pound

-[Height]: 6'4

-[Weight]: 284 lbs

(Vinko Pintaric)

-[Record]: 1-0 (1 KO)

-[Style]: Boxing, wrestling

-[Height]: 6'7

-[Weight]: 265 lbs

-[Heavyweight bout]: Kelo Bowser (2-1) (N/A) versus Gegard Moose (1-0) (1-0)

-[Preview]: Kelo Bowser has shown a few characteristics in his short MMA career: he has a ton of heart, has great submissions off of his back, but somewhat lacks in takedown defense. Perhaps he's willing to let opponents take him down so that he can score a submission over them. That strategy may be flawed against The Beginning alum Gegard Moose. In his last performance, Moose stopped Apollo Creed in the first round with brutal ground n pound that forced the doctor to stop the match.

-[A closer look]:

(Kelo Bowser)

-[Record]: 2-1 (2 SUB)

-[Style]: Brazilian Jujitsu

-[Height]: 6'5

-[Weight]: 270 lbs

(Gegard Moose)

-[Record]: 1-0 (1 KO)

-[Style]: Ground n pound

-[Height]: 6'5

-[Weight]: 279 lbs
