The Kersikov Story.

Born in the Soviet Ukraine at the time, Roman Kersikov, a boxer in his prime once standing toe to toe with Rocky Balboa and knocking him out with a miss. He wanted to create his own perfect fighting family. He married Anna Klosnikovic, the one time Miss World banned because once she won, she proceeded to kick Stalin in the face and was banished to the Ukraine to live out her life there. Between these two they produced 6 Son's and there father got to work in training them in the ways of boxing but alas he died as his oldest son Vitali turned 18 in a train accident (the crazy fucker thought he could stop a on coming train with a wheel kick) and they seeked a place to train. Dean Sutherland a up and coming manager took the family under his wing and started sending them off to train with some of the worlds best fighters. Vitali went to Germany to train with his cousin's, the Klitschko brothers. The other brother who had just turned 18 Vlad. His story is alot more sinister than his brother who was the all round better fight. Vlad was declared insane in school after using a knife to cut open his best friend and proceeded to drink his blood. Its at this point it is rumoured where he got his love of blood. He escaped from the Prison for the insane which held notable infamous lunatics such as Viacheslav Datsik and Borats retarded brother Bilo, who were scared of what Vlad had become. He managed to get a boat to London where he met up with his brother Vitali and watched a few of Datsik fights on YouTube decided to get into MMA. Another brother Rubin who traveled over showed all the great skills to be a fighter. He had the heart, KO power and Chin of iron that the Kersikov's are known for but sadly he turned out to have the brain power a goldfish. The Kersikov MMA records are currently 6-0 (if you include Rubin). Vitali has had 3 fights, after a impressive debut showing his ground game after being taken down, he got up and hit his opponent with a brutal uppercut knocking his opponent out cold in under 1 minute. His next fight he showed his wrestling and dirty boxing skills, landing some brutal elbows and punches inside the clinch to open up a deep gash on his opponents head and the refs stopped it. In his most recent fight he was up against a tough opponent skill wise and age wise to him. In the first round he was taken down and mounted with his opponent dropping bombs on him proven his chin is made of stone. Vitali got dominated through the round and came out angry as hell in the second round taking the fight into a clinch and destroying his opponent landing elbows and punches at will. Eventually after he felt his opponent had suffered enough for thinking he could beat him he pushed his opponent off the cage and when he bounced back landed a brutal elbow which sent his opponent down to the ground out cold, he then landed a Dan Henderson forearm to the face of the already knocked out opponent while the ref was rushing across the cage to stop it. Vlad has only one fight on his record and it was against another new comer to MMA. Its hard to teach Vlad the ways of MMA as he is still not all up there. In the fight he came out and opened up a cut on his opponent almost instantly. He then got the fight into the clinch and started elbowing his opponent on the face repeatedly. The cut looked like his opponent had just been hit with a ax across the face. He is currently now in training with his brother trying to gain more skills before going out to face new opponents. New fighters and sparring partners enter the Don Frye's Fight Club everyday to help out with the up and coming fighters. We will get onto that now.

Don Frye's Fight Club

While writing for companies to keep the gym open Dean Sutherland spares no expense when it comes to bringing in the some of the best coaches on the planet for his fighters to train with. The gym itself is a underground multi purpose gym somewhere in Glasgow but is registered to some burnt out building in London to keep the location secret from the Russian and Ukrainian Police still hunting Vlad. The gym itself is in such a secret location that i was blindfolded and told not to remove my blindfold or they would set Vlad on me, who by the way was sitting right next to me. As i got unblindfolded i was inside the complex and greeted by one of the better fighters at the gym currently is Blitzkrieg Russian Combat Heavyweight Gunnar Madsen. Madsen just competed in his first fight there and won via KO after delivering a huge knee to his opponents jaw that put him to sleep. Madsens next fight is against the very tough Kazaki Fujita and respected manager Lukas S in which if he wins will put him up for a title shot hopefully in his next fight. He himself was looking in fine condition while taking a break from sparring with Vitali and kindly took the time to give me a quick interview.

Reporter - So Madsen, after a change in manager you are currently 2-0 are you happy to be managed by Dean Sutherland giving his inexperience?

Madsen - Not at all, he lets me fight my type of fight. In the last fight before my manager dropped me he made me sign some bullshit contract and told me to throw the fight which i had to do. I was on my way out to a press conference to say i was gonna retire because of all the bullshit that got pulled there but i met Dean passing in the hallway coming from one of the Ascension events he was writing for and i told him what had happened and he told me to come train and fight for him. He managed to get me out of the contract i was in by taking a fight against what was called a tough opponent. I made that fool look stupid, took him to the ground and smashed his face in. The only reason i am still fighting the now is because of Dean.

Reporter - WOW! so you can confirm that fight fixing goes on in some orgs here.

Madsen - Ofcourse it fucking does! i won't name name's but you can clearly check my record and see which fight was in question once you see how shitty that guy was that they made me lose to.

Reporter - Enough about that then, what about you signing with Blitz Russian Combat? What made you choose to fight there.

Madsen - Well i was a free agent after Dean got me out of the contract at my former org. I was out of contract for around a hour when i got a call on my cell phone from Crisse Danielsson. He talked about how the fights in there are tough but he thought i had the skills to go in there and become a success. After the call i met up with Dean and him and Crisse sorted out the contract between them and now i am fighting there.

Reporter - After your first win there you are now up against a former title challenger Kazaki Fujita. You looking forward to that fight?

Madsen - Yeah that was one of the fights i was most looking forward to. Fujita had a tough time of late but is one of the best heavyweights in Blitz Russia and i can't wait to test my skills against him. I have alot of respect for him and his manager and there talents but i am hoping i can get the win.

Reporter - You seem to be a very humble and respectful person. Do you do any trash talking?

(Madsen spurts out the water he was drinking at the time laughing)

Madsen - Ofcourse i do but i respect the fighters i fight against and prefer to let my fists do the talking. Some fighters go out there and trash talk end up looking stupid after they get knocked out. Don't get me wrong if a fighter starts shit talking with me i can shit talk aswell.

(Madsen looks up at the clock)

Madsen - Sorry dude i need to head off, i need to go work on my BJJ with Cincinnatus.

Reporter - Yeah thanks for the interview and good luck with your next fight.

I was sat around watching the training for a hour waiting on Dean to come back from LA. Some of the fighters in here were clearly only here to help train some of the other fighters and only fight to earn a bit on the side. I managed to get a question in with Cincinnatus. I asked him about why he fights in MMA and he said " After many years of training BJJ i wanted to see what MMA was like so Dean set me up with a few fights and its tough you know but i do it so i know what the guys i spar with are going through"

Dean finally arrived in the gym and came forward to greet me along with a fighter i had seen before. Matt Heizel i just found out had just came forward and asked Dean to try and restart his career which had went on a downward spiral. Matt went off to meet the fighters there and Dean sat down offered me a drink and we got talking about how he likes the MMA world.

Reporter - Dean thanks for meeting up with me and letting me see around your gym. First question i have to ask, why the name Don Fryes Fight Club?

Dean - When i grew up watching MMA on TV i always loved watching Don Frye fight. He showed the toughness and backed up all his smack talk when he fought. I just wanted my fighters to embrace the fighting sprit that Don Frye had when he fought.

Reporter - Has Don ever visited the gym?

Dean - Yeah he comes down every once in a while and shows the fighters some skills. Its a real honor for him to come down and show the fighters whats what.

Reporter - Your known to be a writer for many orgs in the game aswell as running the EFC in London also. Does it not get a bit boring after a while.

Dean - Yeah sometimes its a pain in the arse to do it, other times its a breeze i enjoy doing it. I mean i get tickets to go watch some of the best fighters in the world fight and write about what i see. Sometimes managers don't like what i write sometimes they do, its just the way the world works.

Reporter - You do alot of work for some of the Blitz orgs. You talk to those guys alot?

Dean - Yeah Skinny, Gable and Chuck i talk to quite a bit when i see them. There always giving me useful info on how to fight my fights and how things work. I do writing for them because they are home to some of the best fighters in the world. I get along with most of the managers and fighters in there orgs because i respect the work and time they put into getting there fighters ready for each and every fight.

Reporter - You also do a bit of free lance writing aswell. How does that go?

Dean - Yeah i get paid quite a bit doing it and every penny of it goes back into running this gym. If it wasn't for the money i get writing i wouldn't be able to do any of this but i do and I'd like to thank the managers that gave me the chance to write for there orgs. I would also like to thank Jbomb and guys like that who also do the writing. Some of there stuff is awesome to read.

Reporter - After only a few months here you have been nominated for Video and Writer of the year. How does that make you feel?

Dean - Yeah i was kinda shocked when i seen it since i had only been here a few months. I just call fights the way i see them and done a few interviews with guys like Shortfuse and Chris Karter. The video of the year i always knew it would go to Syn this year. Next year i am gonna try and up my game and make some better videos. I already got a call from Bankrupt wanting me to do a video so ill see how that goes.

Reporter - Well i think thats all for the now, we can pick this up again tomorrow its been a long day for both of us.

Dean - Yeah sure no problem, i need to close up here. Vlad will show you to your room.

Reporter - Really? Vlad? You guys stay in the gym?

Dean - Don't worry he won't kill you (laughing). Yeah you didn't see whats above the gym yet have you?

Reporter - No?

Dean - Well i think you will enjoy it.
