Today during the first press conference for RISE #17 Friendly Fire we managed to snag interviews with Viktor Kafka, his manager Alexi Zaitev, and his opponent John Mayhem and his manager Rob Calhoun
Reporter 1: Mr Kafka-Mr Kafka!
Kafka: Да парень микрофона господина?
Translator: Yes mister microphone guy?
Reporter 1: This has been billed as the #1 contender match for newly crowned champion Semmy Kasteel's title, who bet your stable mate Devil Jho, does that give you extra motivation to win this fight?
Kafka waits for the translation and says: Да этот парень Kasteel бил моего хорошего друга Джхо, но это не мое беспокойство, моя работа должна нарушить Джона Мэйхема, которого я сделаю.
Translator: Yes this Kasteel guy beat my good friend Jho, but that is not my concern, my job is to break John Mayhem, which i will do.
Alexi: Next question please, Kafka must get back to training.
Reporter 2: What are your thoughts on your opponent John Mayhem who has finished all of his opponents in his victories?
Kafka: Не имеет значения для меня, что сделал мой противник, но его отчет внушителен. Однако, когда мои кулаки и голени поражают его, он, привычка выживает.
Translator: It does not matter to me what my opponent has done but his record is impressive. However, when my fists and shins hit him, he wont survive.
John Mayhem now enters the press conference wearing a project mayhem shirt and accompanied by his manager, Rob Calhoun.
Reporter: Mr Calhoun, how do you plan on dealing with Kafka's deadly striking game?
Rob: The same way i train my guys to deal with all opponents, finish the opponent before they are finished.
Reporter 2: Mayhem, we haven't heard much about you, can you explain this?
Mayhem: First rule of project Mayhem, don't talk about project Mayhem.
Reporters talk amongst themselves nervously. The owner of RISE, Roger Kint now enters from backstage.
Reporter 3: Mr. Kint! Mr. Kint! How did you react when two of your alliance mates wanted their top prospects to go at in on this upcoming RISE card?
Roger: Well, as I tell everyone, RISE is about the fans and fair fights, and this was a fight that has been in the making for a very long time. Luckily, both managers were still willing to throw down especially with the winner gets a title shot stipulation.
Reporter 1: Mr. Kafka, how goes your training coming into this fight?
[b]Kafka[/b]: Мое обучение идет очень хорошо. Мы развили некоторые новые дополнения к моей игре, которую я стремлюсь испытывать.
Translator: My training goes very well. We have developed some new additions to my game that i am eager to try out.
Mayhem: You won't be able to use them, the first time my fist hits yourself its game over.
Kafka: Мне сказали это прежде, он был неудачен, так же, как Вы будете.
Translator: I have been told this before, he was unsuccessful, just as you will be.
Mayhem: Ah, hell no!
Mayhem rushes to his feet and runs towards Kafka, who calmly gets to his feet and stares down Mayhem as Rob Calhoun tries to restrain his fighter.
Rob: Save it for the fight Mayhem.
Kafka coolly walks over to Mayhem and Mayhem pulls out a baseball bat and tries to hit Kafka with it but Kafka effortlessly side steps it and proceeds to kick the bat so hard it shatters into a million pieces. Enraged, Mayhem dives on Kafka and starts throwing bombs and Alexi dives into trying to separate the two fighters.
Alexi: Jesus guys, can we at least make it to Saturday before you two start wailing on each other?
Rob: Yeah what the crazy Russian said!
Alexi glares malevolently at Rob and proceeds to take Kafka off the stage of the press conference
Mayhem: Project Mayhem shall claim another victim, stop by the Hayashi Lounge in down town Amsterdam for Project Mayhem: Phase 8.
With that, Mayhem storms off stage mumbling incoherently to himself as it appears Tyler Durden has some new instructions for the next phase of Project Mayhem.
Later that day, we got the chance to catch up with the champion Semmy Kasteel who was lavishly celebrating his championship victory.
Reporter 1: Have you heard what happened at today's press conference between your perspective opponents, Viktor Kafka and John Mayhem?
Kasteel: Can't you see I'm busy trying to get laid here man? But yeah I heard about it, who cares though? I'm the champ and thats all that matters!
Kasteel goes back to doing unmentionable things to a hooker
With that, the reporters chase around town trying to track down Kafka and Mayhem for the rest of the day, rumor on the street has it that at least 8 different men were sent to the hospital at the same time, only from different places. Each of the 8 guys had assorted bruises, on their faces, chests, back, not to mention a broken leg and a shattered jaw. Stunned the reporters suddenly decided it was a better idea not to find Mayhem and Kafka.
