<027 • Violent Tendencies> - Preview and Predictions

Event Preview: <027 • Violent Tendencies>
Epic FF League
2013-07-13, Amsterdam, The Beer Garden
Author:Charles Lee Ray

This Saturday (July 13) at The Beer Garden, Crucible Fights: Amsterdam headlines the face off between top contenders in the middleweight division, "Carbomber" Judah Krizbaduhl (#3) and Yrjoe "Ykä" Velmu (#4).

Under Card:

10. (185) Jordan ValKov vs. Sakari Sammio

Very interesting matchup to kick off the night, Valkov thrives in clinch with great elbow and knees while Sammio has sent his previous opponent crashing down to the mat with a monster head kick.

Prediction: Sammio by TKO (Kick & Punches) - 2nd

9. (265) Carol Bogart vs. Fred "Feeble" Flapjacks

Flajacks will no doubt try to keep this match on his feet because Bogart is someone who can really finish the fight using his vicious ground and pound.

Prediction: Bogart by TKO (Strikes) - 1st

8. (185) Harry "Patator" Tito vs. Alex "Nuclear" Warburton

Two warriors with different mission on display in this bout, Tito is looking for his 3rd consecutive victory using his solid punches while Warburton is looking to bounce back from his lost against Mario Suco at <021 • Display Of Power>.

Prediction: Tito by Decision (Unanimous)

7. (265) "The Irish Fuckface" Ian Logan vs. "Bloody" Bill Brodie

Both of their skills are virtually the same on the ground, the only difference is their standup game because Brodie is the better boxer while Logan utilizes muay thai to his advantage.

Prediction: Draw :)

6. (205) Jack "The Ripper" Johnson vs. Hamish "Hells" Bells

After the cancellation of his match at <023 • Shock N Awe>, Bells will be ready to unleash the hell to "The Ripper" who bounced back at <024 • Savages> by ripping Giant Tank's head using his great elbows.

Prediction: Bells by TKO (Cut) - 2nd

5. (185) Samuri Sikura vs. Mario Suco

They're pretty much even in terms of boxing but Sikura will surely benefit with his advantage on muay thai, wrestling and brazilian jiu jitsu.

Prediction: Sikura by TKO (Strikes) - 3rd

Main Card:

4.[170] Saul "The Frackin Cylon" Tigh (5-3) vs. Genghis "The Mongoloid" Khan (3-3)

A bonus match for the tipsy spectators because ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship will be on display. Their 8 wins combined is mainly because of their expertise at brazilian jiu jitsu. Different submissions from different angles — armbars and triangles from guard, kimura from side and rear naked choke. They can pull it off because they both hold a brown belt in bjj.

Prediction: Tigh by Submission (Armbar) - 1st

3. [155] Nikolai Peterson (6-5) vs. "The Juggernat" Sheldon Mozart (2-3)

Establishing themselves has been a problem for these young men since joining Crucible Fights: Amsterdam, equal amount of wins and losses since they set their foot in the organization. But for them, it's about putting on a good show and make the fans go wild. Peterson is a very intelligent fighter and Mozart has the power for put his opponent down to the canvas, a battle of brain against brawn.

Prediction: Peterson by Decision (Unanimous)

2. [155] Colt "Lone Gun" McLaren (6-4) vs. Akira Azuma (4-1)

Their styles are the same and pretty much straightforward, use his own wrestling capability to take the opponent to the mat then start dropping some bombs from top. McLaren has a slight advantage in muay thai and might as well employ his low kicks to cripple Azuma first. On the other hand, Azuma is a great boxer and a slight better in wrestling than McLaren

Prediction: Azuma by TKO (Punches) - 3rd

1. [185] Yrjoe "Ykä" Velmu (6-1) vs. "Carbomber" Judah Krizbaduhl (5-2)

As I said earlier, these two are belongs in the top tier in the middleweight division. Velma will be back on the ring as he makes his debut match in Crucible Fights: Amsterdam. He is a master in clinch, mixing it up with his hands and dangerous knees. Krizbaduhl is equally adept in muay thai but he's more inclined to use kicks as his advantage.

Prediction: Velmu by TKO (Knees) - 2nd
