AMSFC 12

Event Preview: AMSFC 12 - Hedemony
Ultimate Proving Grounds
2013-08-16, Amsterdam, The Underground - Amsterdam
Author:

Good Morning Amsterdam.

Our first event under new management was a great success, achieving the Orgs highest event rating to date and lifted us two places in the city Org rankings.  We just about managed to break even but next week's event is set to be a sell out, so hopefully bigger bonuses and better contracts should soon be coming.

Yaya stretched his streak of finishes to 5 in another scary clinch clinic, the lightweight Belt changed hands as Christian M Bami put Rohan to sleep inside the first frame and 9 out of 10 fights didn't make it to the judge's score card as everyone put on exciting fights.  Thanks to everyone for making weight and being in the right place.

Moving on to AMSFC 12

Full Fight List

Shawayahamish (1-5) Vs Donvan (0-2)

Lee (0-0) Vs Romanchenko (0-3)

Nwago (1-1-1) Vs Rumia (1-3)

Rampage (2-1) Vs Olszewicz (1-7)

Challaghan (1-1) Vs Askos (1-3)

Bibi (2-1) Vs Mazur (1-1)

Bronko Banger (3-1) Vs Juha "Shebeen" Gustafsson (4-5)

These two competitors have a lot in common.  Both are Jiu-jitsu specialists, both have fought and lost to our reigning champ, both bounced back with stunning first round submission wins and they're both gunning for the number one contender spot.  Expect this one to hit the mat quickly as neither man is comfortable striking.  Shebeen will be taking more experience into this match up and that might just make the difference.

Borthol "Panzerschreck" Grynworst (4-0) Vs Filip "Second" Cainovski (2-2)

With the Panzer making his organisational debut off the back of 4 straight victories and Cainovski looking avoid a three fight losing streak this one may seem a foregone conclusion.  But don't count Filip out as he's got a big heart and could prove a handful with his superior Muay Thai and diverse striking attack.  Grynworst is a volume puncher with solid power who'd rather batter his opponents on the feet, but he's both willing and able to take this fight to the mat should the stand up not go his way.

Dark Evil (7-0) - Graham "High Kick" Alexander (3-2)

Evil comes into this a heavy favourite give his perfect run of 7 straight submission victories, 6 of which occurring within the first round of the fight.  But Alexander has every chance of causing a big upset out there, a dangerous striker always looking for the highlight reel head kick KO, he should carry a significant advantage in the stand up and is no mug when it comes to take down defence.  But make no mistake, better wrestlers than "High Kick" have tried and failed to fend off the relentless grappling attack of Dark Evil and only one opponent has even made it out of the first round.

Andrew "British Panther" Clark (7-1) Vs Martin Gillmore (6-1)

In what is probably the biggest rematch in the orgs short history, former Champion Martin Gilmore looks to regain the strap from reigning Belt Holder the British Panther.  Clark is a deadly finisher, be it with power punching, vicious clinch knees or stunning head kicks he's knocked out his last 7 opponents.  Meanwhile Gillmore has only ever lost to the Brit and it's a loss he's going to be working tirelessly to avenge.  Gilmore might just shave the boxing war but needs to stay out of both clinching and kicking range if he wants to avoid the Muay Thai of Clark.  The only question mark hovering over the champion is can he keep the pace for five rounds?  In 8 fights he's never been outside of the second round, while Gilmore has come out the winner of a five round war before now.

And that's tomorrow night's card.  Probably the best card we've ever put on and hopefully you'll all be fighting in front of a sell out crowd.  Don't forget to message me with feedback or suggestions.  Want to call someone out?  You can do it in the thread or message me and I'll try and set up a match.
