Author:Jonah King

Hello Fight Fans, Merlin here bringing you a preview of more Fallen Champions action! This will be the 50th event in the young org's history, and by far looks to be the best! King Arthur is having a new arena being built to fit the growing fanbase in, and while construction isn't complete he had to open it for this event due to all the ticket demand! We have the Welterweight and Light Heavyweight Championships on the line, and two other ex Champions on the card so this is sure to be a great one! Lets not wait any longer............

135lbs-Pedro Guilherme(0-1)(0-1)vsRyan McCarthy(0-1)(0-0)-Guilherme by Sub in 1st Rd

155lbs-#9.Stop Acta(5-7)(1-2)vsNate Tua(3-6)(2-4)-Acta by Sub in 2nd Rd

170lbs-#4.Maurico Calvancante(10-6)(0-0)vs#10.Jose Dimagiba(5-4)(3-3)-Dimagiba by UD

155lbs-#4.David King(9-5)(5-4)vs#10.Jim Jom(8-9)(3-3)-King by UD

170lbs-#2.Gawain Lot(6-1)(6-1)vs#6.Severino Bernardo(5-6)(5-4)-Lot by (t)KO in 1st Rd

185lb-5Camber"The Relief"Cartwright(8-7)(3-0)vs#9"The Lion of Matema"Baraka Simengwa(6-4)(0-1)

Our Main Card of the evening starts off with two top 10 Middleweights doing battle, Camber Cartwright is on a three fight win streak since joining the Fallen Champions roster. He has a Muay Thai striking base, and a nasty BJJ game. All three of his of promotional wins have came by way of submission, and two of those have earned him submission of the night. Baraka Simengwa is a two ADCC Champion who trains out of the famed Blacksmith Gym in Las Vegas. He doesn't try to hide his gameplan from his opponent, he wants to get the fight to the mat and lock up a submission which he has been able to do in his six MMA wins. Both of these fighters are natural grapplers so its only a matter of time before it hits the mat, but I think Simengwa has the smoother of the BJJ games and he'll be able to earn the victory.

185lbs-#6.Jeff"El jefe"Wood(7-3)(4-2)vs#4."Rampage"Quinton Jackson(6-1)(4-1)

These two met back at Lost Legends X with Jackson being able to stop Wood with strikes in the first round, but Jeff Wood has won his last two fights and wants to get himself back into the Title picture. Even though Wood is a known grappler, he has an underrated striking game, he is very accurate with his punches and kicks but lacks real knockout power. The majority of his wins have came by Submission, and he will look to use his strikes to set up a takedown. Quinton Jackson is on a two fight win streak since losing in a title fight against ex Champion Tom Finch, and a win could get him back into the title hunt. Jackson has collegiate Wrestling, and a descent level Purple belt that he mostly uses defensively. He lands over 60% of his takedown attempts, and once he gets top position he throws alot of strikes and lands almost 60% of them. I see Jackson being able to get the takedown, but if Wood can't get a Sub off his back I see it going to the Judges!

185lbs-#2.Tom Finch(5-3)(4-1)vs#3.Chris"Hack Saw"Remnant(7-4)(1-0)

Tom Finch was on a 5 fight win streak coming into his last fight including two title fights, but when he met Genghis Khan at LL XVI he just didn't look like his normal dominate self and just got picked apart by the superior striker. Tasting defeat for the first time in the Fallen Champions ring, Finch is sure to come out and look to make a statement in this one. He has Olympic level wrestling and an underrated BJJ game, but has showed a suspect chin with his three career losses coming by knockout. Chris Remnant made his promotional debut with a Submission of the Night victory at FC XXIX against veteran Master Sifu. Chris is very well rounded but makes his living on the ground. He has a good double leg takedown, and once he gets it he has some nasty ground n pound being able to land almost 70% of his ground strikes and lets not forget that high level brown belt that he uses after soften his opponent up! I think Finch will be able to get the top position, but it will come down to whether Finch will be able to stop Remnant with strikes before Chris can lock up a submission.

205lb Championship-C.Shelby Toe(8-1)(7-1)vs(#9 P4P)#1."Bastard"Torrelio Sacana(12-3)(2-0)

When you think of the Light Heavyweight division it is hard not to think of Shelby Toe, the guy doesn't look like a fighter but he always shows up game at fight time. He has a very Mauling style, where he gets his opponent down and turns the fight into a nasty contest working ground n pound and has an okay submission game. Torrelio Sacana is a BEAST, the guy is coming in riding a nine fight win streak, and has won his first two in the Fallen Champions ring both by 1st Rd stoppage. He is very well rounded and will be comfortable where ever the fight takes place, but he too has a grappling background. This fight is going to the ground but the question is who is going to be able to get dominate position. I think Toe has a little bit better single leg, and will be able to get Sacana down but with Sacana having a high level BJJ game he will make it hard for Toe to mount much of an offensive when the fight gets there. This one could go either way, and I know there is one man that will be watching this fight with invested interest and that man is returning Champion Gegardio Musasio. Musasio is coming off a series of nasty injuries that have kept him sidelined for over three months, and he will be taking on the winner of this one.

170lb Title-(#5 P4P)C."The Dark Prince"Echart Tolle(17-2)(3-0)vs#1.Glin"B-Man"Burman(7-9)(2-0)

In our Main Event of the evening, we have the newly crown Welterweight Champion Echart Tolle who is coming off of the early Fight of the Year nominee performance against Gawain Lot back at LL XV. Tolle comes in with an 8 fight win streak, and is one of the most experienced fighters on the FC roster with this going to be his 20th career MMA fight. The 27 year old Hellraiser Camp fighter is a very dangerous submission artist, and he has 12 submission wins to prove it! Glin Burman is a devastating boxer, with some heavy, heavy hands that he has used to finish all 7 of his career wins. He has some suspect takedown defense allowing his opponents to land 50% of their takedown attempts which could smell disaster for him in this one. If Tolle can get the fight to the mat it will be only a matter of time, as Burman looks like a finish out of water while on his back, but if Glin can stuff a few of his takedowns he could test the Champion's chin with his great hands. I think that Tolle will be able to make quick work of Burman, and prove he is a real Champion with his first Title defense!

There you have it folks some absolute great fights on this card, and I can't wait for Saturday night as I'll be at the Hardknocks sitting Ringside! I would like to thank our sponsors The DarkSide clothing and Pirates Powder nutrition, make sure to check in with Sid and Jed I for all their latest deals!
