Carnage 3: Dicks vs Viper

Mike Dicks v Moishe The Viper
 Welter Weight Title Fight
The Boa versus The Viper. Mike versus Moishe. The Viper versus Dicks. Call it whatever the hell you want! This exciting title brawl is what Carnage is all about. Don’t turn away, someone might get knocked or choked out. Mike Dicks, feeling confident after the first round submission win that earned him the Carnage Welterweight strap says will do whatever it takes to stop challenger, Moishe the Viper. Physically, these two are almost even. Moishe has a slight edge when it comes to the standup game. Dicks is the dominant of the two on the ground. Moishe’s corner shared that when they were told they were facing the Boa, they told Moishe that he had to get start getting serious about his training. Asked to comment, Moishe mumbled something about having to feed a village. This fight will be a true test for The Viper, who considered BJJ to be his strength throughout his amateur career. To make matters worse for the Israeli native, Mike Dicks has made it abundantly clear that he intends to put Moishe on his back and finish him. Little is known of The Vipers past. Stories abound of his violent exploits only to be overshadowed by tales of his magic hummus. Mike Dicks’ time in the World Grappling Circuit indicate he is intent on kicking ass. He will use this experience along with his recent strike defense training to hold on to his shiny belt. This is the rumble that Carnage fans have been waiting for. Bring your rubber duckys because this will be a bloodbath!

Dylan Slade v Christian Ortiz
Heavy Weight
There aren’t many ways to put it, “The Bullet” Slade and ”Big Gemini”  Ortiz are going to attempt to pound each other into a bloody pulp…and the Carnage fans are going to scream for more. We have the classic standup conundrum in this contest, muay thai versus boxing. Slade is the better boxer and has the slight edge in wrestling. Ortiz hopes to use his muay thai skills. Sources tell us that Ortiz has been looking tired at training. With the fight only a few days away, he may want to get some rest. In Slade, he will be fighting someone who is both taller and heavier than him. “The Bullet” seems ready and intense. Frankly, he looks a bit maniacal. These two guys are evenly matched for an ass-kicking contest, however, unless a Ortiz gets a lot of sleep quick, he is going to be too tired to fight even a 12 year old girl. Both fighters step into the cage having dropped their first pro QFC fight. Both will be looking to unleash their rage inside the cage at CFC 3.
Tone Jenkins v Thomas Powers
Heavy Weight
At first glance, this Carnage cage match looks like it’s pulled straight from the circus. The giant Tone “King” Jenkins will be looking to hand the portly, bearded man Thomas Powers his second straight loss. Aside from the glaring physical differences, Carnage fans will enjoy the stark differences in style. “King” appears to have decided to eschew his genetic gift of height and became a submission specialist. Unless cows fly, Jenkins will try to take Powers down and make him tap. He will be doing as he should, exploiting the glaring lack of color on Powers’ BJJ belt.  Powers can do massive damage if they stay on their feet. He will have to somehow overcome his vertical handicap and rain punches. Neither fighter has a noteworthy record, so they will each be looking to add sweet clips to their highlight reels.

Kip Slizer v Super Man
Heavy Weight
In this fight, we will have the chance to see if the Carnage cage is big enough to contain “The Baddest Man on Earth” Kip Slizer and Super Man. Not much separates these contestants. Both 18 years of age with only a few measly centimeters separating them in the height column. Both men have soundly defeated one opponent each and they are hungry to add another victory. Super Man is an individual of mystery. His surname appears to be Chinese, but his facial features suggest that he is of American descent. Man gives up a significant weight and presumably strength advantage that Slizer will have to capitalize on. Slizer is a slightly better stand up fighter, while Man has an edge on the mat. These fighters will have it all on the line as they fight to define their careers. CFC 3 will be their chance to show the bloodthirsty Carnage fans just what they are capable of.

Zonk Goku v Adnan Catic
Light Heavy Weight
With their last fight less than one month ago, Adnan “Felix Strum” Catic is feeling the pressure to exact revenge from the man who handed him his first professional loss. In their previous showdown, Catic appeared helpless against Goku’s relentless ground attack. From a stand up position, Catic did not do much better, succumbing to all five of Goku’s attempted takedowns. Catic is shorter and is only slightly heavier than Goku. Basically, Catic has one chance to not be a two-time loser and the laughing stock of all hardcore Carnage fans. He needs to wipe the silly look of his face, take off his pansy hat, and start throwing hands. Sources say Goku has no stand up skills whatsoever; Catic must use this to his benefit. Even Goku acknowledges his stand up is “garbage,” but he has been working hard and improving would like to thank the Carnage fans, and his sponsors Red Square fight Gear and Untouchable Fight Nutrition. While Goku seems to be the quiet favorite, Carnage fans are always amped to see the underdog come out on top. Goku versus Zonk 2: sweet revenge or double domination?

Slim Elis v Tor Abet
Light HeavyWeight
Former boxer Slim Elis will attempt to take his pro MMA record to 2-0 by taking on Botswana native, Tor Abet. Carnage fans will be pleased to see evenly matched opponents in this fight. Nearly the same weight and height both have strong boxing and wrestling. Heck, if wasn’t that these guys look nothing alike, we could say they were twins. In preliminary interviews, both fighters were confident. Abet believes he has the edge wherever he decides to take this fight. He has this to say to his opponent: “You've made the biggest mistake of your life. Just wait until I get my hands on you. I'm going drive you through the mat so hard its rips the fabric of space and time.” With both fighters poised and eager to get at each other, Carnage fans on hand will likely see a bloody brawl. Slim Elis predicts this fight will end in the first round, “Come August 31st there are going to be some fireworks. Hope you’re (Tor Abet) ready to see some stars.” Carnage fans will not want to miss these gladiators clash in an epic battle that will most certainly be in competition for “KO of the night.”
*Tor Abet’s mum has been selected by Wild Bob's Bar, host of CFC 3, to be our guest of the evening. If she comes to the event, she gets a free pitcher of beer.

Igz Kinkaid v Tony Dunc
Middle-Weight
Kaiser-sponsored fighter Igz Kinkaid is a dangerous guy. He is a 23 year old BJJ Brown Belt with 4 convincing submission victories to his credit. Purple belt Tony Dunc is no BJJ weenie either, he will have to find some way to surmount the obvious challenge in front of him. Despite his skill, Dunc’s strategy cannot be to simply roll with Kinkaid. Unfortunately, going toe-to-toe won’t leave him much better off. His only solace may be controlling Kinkaid with his wrestling abilities and possibly counter some submission attempts. In preliminary interviews, Kinkaid called this a “…great fight for me and a horrible fight for Dunc.” Not surprisingly, he believes his dominant submission acumen will be his key to victory over Tony Dunc. If Dunc gets this win, it would solidify him as one of the submission greats in the Carnage organization. He may even get a groupie or two out of it. Fans will delight in what will surely be a brilliantly executed performance of submission expertise.

James Franko v Gustavo Meranda
Welterweight
This match-up pits striker James Franko against BJJ purple belt Gustavo “The Mercedes” Meranda. Fans will be asking if Franko will be recovered from his defeat at the hands of Mike Dicks. His best chance of answering this questions and possibly earning himself another title shot will be getting a big win against Meranda. But Franko is not facing a slouch here. There are no slouches in Carnage. They must call him “The Mercedes” for a reason. Meranda’s game plan coming into this match is simple, use your superior wrestling and BJJ skills to take Franko down and make him scream in agony. The message out of Franko’s corner is likely to be just as simple: Put a dent in The Mercedes. Franko has a moderate height advantage and will no doubt be striking to keep Meranda at bay. Meranda will pop his Carnage virginity in his first ever pro fight here. He will need to tie Franko up and take him to the mat, which is what they say he does best. We’ll just have to wait and see.

 Kid Cozmo v Angel Ortiz
Lightweight
With 9 pro fights behind him, 33 year old Angel Ortiz can be considered the grizzled veteran of Carnage. Fortunately for fight fans, Kid Cozmo has been training hard to be able bring the battle to Ortiz. His training camp is focused on overcoming Ortiz’ wrestling advantage. According to Cozmo: “I know Angel has world class wrestling so I will have to work a lot harder than normal for takedowns and trips.” It will be exciting to see if the up-and-coming Cozmo will have what it takes to rise to this challenge. In theory, the ability for an upset is there. If this fight goes to the ground, Ortiz’s 9 fights will be no match for Cozmo’s brown belt. For his part, Ortiz needs to stay focused. This is only his second fight in 2013 after a busy 2012 and fans will be paying close attention to see if his age is becoming a factor. Cozmo has the slight edge in height and weight and the nicer haircut. All things considered, this is going to be one helluva throwdown. Carnage fans will be spilling their beers on the people next to them, that’s for sure.

Mac Mooseheads v Randle Radcliff
Featherweight
We have an interesting match-up this evening as Randle “The Machinist” Radcliff will have his hands full with the miniature submission specialist Mac Mooseheads. Mooseheads comes into this match the heavy favorite with five wins and only one loss. What should be even more of concern to Radcliff, all five wins are by submission in the FIRST round. Looking at the replay of Mooseheads fights, he wants the fight on the ground where he can mercilessly attempt submission after submission. The Machinist joins Carnage with only one unconvincing 3rd round submission victory under his belt. He appears to be a decent all around fighter. However, unless he’s been training submissions for 37 hours a day, he will have to stay on the outside and rely on his stand up skills along with his substantial height advantage.  If it does go to the ground, Radcliff will have to either display some serious Jujitsu magic to counter the submission flurry likely to come from the tiny mohawked Mooseheads. It will be interesting to see if Radcliff will be the one who can finally slow down Mac Mooseheads.
