Official Fight Card

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Charles Manson (2-4) vs Keimah Animai (0-0)

-[Results]: Keimah Animai utilized a clinch-and-release strategy while hitting Charles Manson with heavy punches throughout. Charles never really had an answer for Keimah's attack. Keimah Animai def. Charles Manson via TKO (Strikes) at 0:49 of round 1.

-[Victory Speech]: Keimah Animai took to the mic to talk about his big plans for the future of his career. This fight was over quickly but the future is bright for this young stud.

-[Lightweight bout]: Humberto Cabrera (0-1) vs Alexito Mustacho (0-1)

-[Results]: Alexito dominated this fight with his clinchwork. He shoved Cabrera against the fence and worked him over with punches in punches. Alexito Mustacho def. Humberto Cabrera via TKO (Strikes) at 2:10 of round 1.

-[Victory Speech]: Mustacho grabbed the mic and said, “It was a good fight but I need to train more. Next time I will knock my opponent out with one hit.”

-[Welterweight bout]: Anderson Jones (3-3) vs Vlad The Impaler (2-4) - 100%

-[Results]: Vlad The Impaler dominated the first round of this fight on the feet. In the second round, Jones locked in a takedown before losing the position. Back on the feet, Vlad controlled the tempo with his striking. In the final frame, Anderson Jones locked in another takedown and immediately grabbed an arm and cranked it like a teenage boy with his first porno. Anderson Jones def. Vlad The Impaler via Submission (Kimura) at 0:38 of round 3.

-[Lightweight bout]: Mike Tyson (0-1) vs Patrick Cote (3-2)

-[Results]: For whatever reason, Mike Tyson thought it was best to pull guard on a brown belt. Mike Tyson is a blue belt. He pulled guard on a brown belt. Need I type that again for my message to get through? Patrick Cote slapped Tyson around from the top position and forced the stoppage. Patrick Cote def. Mike Tyson via TKO (Strikes) at 4:31 of round 1.

-[Victory Speech]: Patrick Cote addressed the crowd with these inspirational words, “That bitch can eat my ass!” What a poet!

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Philmore Butts (5-6) vs Michal Bicki (10-4)

-[Results]: Philmore Butts and Michal Bicki exchanged shots for roughly eight minutes straight with only a minor break between rounds. In the end, Bicki landed the greater volume and earned the stoppage. Michal Bicki def. Philmore Butts via TKO (Strikes) at 3:21 of round 2.

-[Victory Speech]: Michal played to the crowd in his closing speech.

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Lews Therin Telamon (6-3) vs Vinny Ruggiero (5-4)

-[Results]: Ruggie grabbed the clinch early and worked Telamon over with strikes. After dropping him, he grabbed the clinch again and continued to nail Telamon with powerful knees and punches before securing the stoppage. Vinny Ruggiero def. Lews Therin Telamon via TKO (Knees) at 2:57 of round 1.

-[Victory Speech]: Vinny Ruggiero called for a title shot following his big win here.

-[Welterweight bout]: Sean Sorrowe (3-2) vs Matrim Cauthon (7-3)

-[Results]: Sean Sorrowe did well early with strikes, cutting Cauthon open. Sorrowe then snagged a takedown. Matrim Cauthon isn't shy on the ground: he worked his way to full guard and attempted to sink in a triangle choke. Sorrowe started landing with the ground n pound from side control. Matrim responded by sneaking out the side and jumping on Sorrowe's back in the scramble. From there it was easy to grab the rear naked choke and force the tap. Matrim Cauthon def. Sean Sorrowe via Submission (Rear Naked Choke) at 1:23 of round 1.

-[Victory Speech]: Matrim Cauthon promised a better performance in his next fight.

-[Welterweight bout]: Steven Smith (3-0) vs Claudiu Sinescu (5-2)

-[Results]: The slug fest we have all been waiting for! These two rising prospects met in the middle of the cage and started swining for the fences with punches and kicks right away. Both fighters received bad guys immediately so Smith pulled guard on him. Much of the second round took place against the fence with both fighters landing hard punches. In the final frame, Smith opened up with a vicious combination that sent Claudiu down queer street and he just wouldn't let up on him. That was an incredible fight for sure! Steven Smith def. Claudiu Sinescu via TKO (Strikes) at 0:52 of round 3.

-[Victory speech]: Steven Smith thanked his fans. I'm sure he earned a bunch of new ones with this performance.

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Sal Langreck(fc) (4-1) vs Cain Cormeir (6-4)

-[Results]: Cain Cormeir is an animal! He just wouldn't let up with the takedowns or the ground strikes. When the referee finally stopped the fight to protect the former light-heavyweight champion of the world, he was left laying in a pool of his own blood. What a mess. Outstanding performance from Cain Cormeir, however! Cain Cormeir def. Sal Langreck via TKO (Strikes) at 2:56 of round 1.

-[Victory Speech]: Cain Cormeir thanked the fans in attendance for making the show truly special.

-[Welterweight bout]: Nyrkilla Tapettava (5-1) vs Kaz Yago (6-4)

-[Results]: I don't generally favor saying that one fighter destroyed another one but Nyrkilla Tapettava destroyed Kaz Yago in this fight. It was generally understood that this fight would take place on the ground where both men were equally dangerous. Nyrkilla Tapettava succeeded in virtually every single thing that he attempted. Yago landed one punch and looked like a white belt on the ground. Incredible. If Nyrkilla Tapettava fights like that against Rousey we may have a new champion. Nyrkilla Tapettava def. Kaz Yago via TKO (Strikes) at 1:48 of round 1.

Outcome

Nyrkilla Tapettava (6-1) has earned the right to challenge for the welterweight title if he wants the opportunity. If not, there are certainly a slew of other fighters who could take his place.

In my eyes, the top five weltewerweight contenders are as follows:

Champion: Ronald Rousey (7-1)

Bear Stevenson (6-1-1) (Booked to fight Rousey next)

Nyrkilla Tapettava (6-1)

Steven Smith (4-0)

Matrim Cauthon (8-3)

Nando De Leeuw (3-1)

That is the order in which I see the title shots being handed down in current order.

Fight of the Night: Steven Smith and Claudiu Sinescu ($5,000x2)

Knockout of the Night: Steven Smith ($5,000)

Submission of the Night: Anderson Jones ($5,000)

Five Facts Following the Show

Nyrkilla Tapettava has earned the top contender position following Rousey v Stevenson next weekend.

Cain Cormeir is legit! His decimation of Sal Langreck was eerily similar to that of Maxwell Price's title winning performance.

Vinny Ruggiero called for the next title shot following his victory.

Philmore Butts has now lost three-in-a-row for the first time in his career.

Keimah Animai is a force to be reckoned with. His next fight may help determine his true position in the rankings but he is one scary young prospect.

On The Record

Steven Smith now trails directly behind middleweight champion Fenix Espada in both total victories and also in total victories by knockout. Both men have won all of their fights via knockout.

UPF-M 15 is currently on the books as the most watched event in UPF-M history. It had the highest ticket revenue and second highest event rating (behind UPF-M 12).
