HEROIC
2013-10-12, London, Knights Court
Author:

In the Heroic studio “Sunshine” Weston Markson is seen smiling, happier then ever and unzipping his pants….?

Hello everyone its me again “Sunshine” Weston Markson along with my partner Rudy “The Box” Knife. We are here at the Heroic studio to preview Heroic 113, but before we get to that I seem to remember Rudy saying something last week…lets see.

Rudy: No Weston, its not going to happen.

Weston: Ah yes here it is… in regards to the Muy Thai Trent Pope fight. “I can guarantee this fight wont last 15 minutes in fact if it does ill kiss Weston’s left testicle live on the next preview show”. The results are in Muy Thai won by decision now pucker up Rudy here is my left nut.

Rudy: eeew! Put those away this is not going to happen! Ill bring Kimmy in here and he will break you arms I will not ever kiss you in your manliness.

Weston: This isn’t over Rudy im going to find some people and they will force you to be a man of your word!

Rudy: No never. Lets do the show ok Weston?

Weston: You will kiss my balls bro but for now Heroic 113 is brought to you by The Big Kabosh, its going to be a great card live on PPV from Knights Court in London. This card has a six of the top 10 Lightweights in Heroic.

Rudy: That’s right Heroic 113 is going to be a lightweight showdown. They are really taking center stage here and after the event rankings will look different in this division. So lets get into the card.

MAIN EVENT

#4 Malcolm Marshall (12-1) v #6 Doc Holliday (22-12)

Weston: The main event of Heroic 113 is a lightweight battle between the 4th ranked Malcolm Marshall and the 6th ranked Doc Holliday. Both of these fighters are coming off a loss that temporarily set them out of title contention. For Marshall it was his first loss and to the current champion, for Holliday it was a number one contenders contest against Naru Jarkko who went on to come so close to defeating the champion. Now both of these fighters want another shot and a win here gets one right back into contention.

Rudy: What a great fight to headline Heroic 113, two of the best lightweights in the world, in a high stakes brawl. Holliday is the more well-rounded fighter he has proven he can finish fights standing or on the ground. While Marshall uses his elite wrestling to keep the fight standing, I cant ever remember him attempting a takedown, nor do I remember him being taken down, he defends an astonishing 97% of takedown attempts from striking range. His outstanding takedown defense has allowed him to strike at will, when it comes to his striking he lands nearly 70% or above of all strikes on paper Marshall is a monster and with only one loss maybe that translates in the cage as well, but Holliday is no slouch either. He lands nearly 32% of his takedowns and on the ground he is able to chip away at his opponents and look for submissions. Standing he isn’t very accurate because he chooses to put more into his strikes, wherever this fight takes place Holliday can win but I expect him to push for a takedown early, this fight will be great I cant wait to see how it plays out.

Prediction: I think this is a close fight if Holliday can get it on the ground he wins, if he cant I think Marshall wins.

CO-MAIN EVENT

Monte "Count" Christo (24-17) v #8 Frank "Fast Hands" Reynolds (17-6-2)

Weston: The CO-MAIN event is another lightweight fight between 8th ranked Frank Reynolds, and Monte Christo who just sits outside of the top ten. Reynolds last fight was an impressive KO victory that snapped a two fight losing streak. When Reynolds came to Heroic there were thoughts he would be a long time contender but after going 4-3 it seems as if he is more of a gatekeeper for the divisions elite. Reynolds is out to prove he is no gatekeeper and one of the divisions best fighters, but to do so he needs to string together a few wins in a row and get into title contention. Last time we saw Christo he was getting knocked out in just 33 seconds snapping a 4 fight win streak, the disappointing loss couldn’t have come at a worse time Christo was just starting to look like he could be a serious threat his record in Heroic is 5-4 he really needs a win here as well to get back into the mix of things in the top of the division.

Rudy: No mistakes here, these two are strikers, and that’s exactly what we can expect out of these two warriors. Both of these fighters put a lot into their strikes, landing around 50% of their strikes its their style to go out and swing for the fences with each strike. Christo has more power in his strikes and has finished 80% of his wins by (T)KO, his Achilles heel has been his chin though losing nearly the same amount by (T)KO. If I were Frank Reynolds I would come out and clinch up with Christo I believe this fight will be won in the clinch battles and I think Reynolds has the better clinch game. Christo’s is good but not as good as Reynolds in the clinch Reynolds lands around 65% of his strikes where Christo stays around 50%. Who wins?

Prediction: I think Reynolds may take this won by late (T)KO

MAIN CARD

#10 Vlad Impaler (25-15) v #9 "The Gracie Killer" Masahiko Kimura (13-3)

Weston: The last fight on the main card is a lightweight fight between the worlds worst person and biggest liar Masahiko Kimura and the deathly seksi Vlad Impaler, now lets be forthright here we all know Rudy is pulling for Kimura and I for Impaler. I hate Kimura he is a dick without a dick unfortunately Rudy and I interviewed him this past week after the New York Marathon that im pretty sure he didn’t actually run. Anyway here is what transpired.

WESTON: Hello again its' me “Sunshine” Weston Markson along with my co-host Rudy “The Box” Knife and we are live at the finishing line for the New York marathon. Rudy it is absolutely pandemonium here, the fans are loving this event.

RUDY: Yeah and you want to know why Weston?

WESTON: Go ahead. Rudy: Masahiko Kimura is running this marathon today for the Make a Wish foundation and should be breaking all records when... wait a minute here he is... Masahiko congratulations on what is your 12th marathon in 12 days

KIMURA: 10 days Weston 10 days, get it right..

RUDY: 10 days, wow so impressive.

WESTON: Are you sure you were in this marathon because they haven't even started yet?

KIMURA: What are you saying Weston? That I am lying? Who do you think....

RUDY: Wait a minute Weston, let's talk to Kimura about his upcoming fight at HEROIC 113 coming to us live from Knights Court on Saturday 12th October. Tell us Kimmy, what are your thoughts on your opponent?

KIMURA: Well Rudy the guy is clearly the dumbest mother fucker on the planet.

WESTON: Make sure we edit that bit out, yeah bleep out the swearing... thanks

KIMURA: SHUT UP Weston! I'm speaking....

RUDY: Ignore him Kimmy, he's leaving soon..

WESTON: I'm leaving?

RUDY: yeah you're getting fired... anyway Kimmy why do you say that Vlad Impaler is dumb?

KIMURA: Well Rudy, it's like this... there is ONE thing, and only one thing that we have in common... we have both never been submitted...

WESTON: Wait a minute you tapped out at HEROIC 91, Furious George...

KIMURA: That didn't count, didn't you here me after that fight Weston?!! I had a shoulder injury, HEROIC officials ruled that a NO CONTEST, and I thought you were a journalist, my god you're right Rudy this man should be fired..

WESTON: No Contest? but it still on your record...

KIMURA: SILENCE! Now where was I... yes, Vlad... he is the dumbest fighter in HEROIC history, he is obviously over the hill and should have retired years ago AND he thinks that he will still have a zero by his submission losses by the end of this fight?! Is this guy for real?! You are going up against, and I will spell this out for you nice and slow so you can understand me, T H E G R E A T E S T B J J F I G H T E R I N M M A H I S T O R Y. I will make you tap and at the end of this fight I will be the only man to have never been submitted.

WESTON: Weren't you submitted in the TWG second round in Los Angles last....

KIMURA: What? no that wasn't me... Jesus Christ you have to be the worst journalist in HEROIC history, who hired you? was it Wilson because that explains a lot...

RUDY: Kimmy I think it's awesome for us to have a man like you in HEROIC and with your perfect record in tact..

KIMURA: Thank you Rudy, at least there is someone who knows about MMA... and also Weston how many men do you know who would run his 12th Marathon in 10 days, for charity, and then come over to you for an interview, and may I add that there is not a drop of sweat on me and Im not even out of breathe. (Kimura Smiles)

WESTON: Well actually I am pretty sure I saw you come from that direction (points away from he finish line) and that's your car over there.

KIMURA: WHAT!? Are you calling me a liar Weston?!

WESTON: Even my producer is telling me that you have been in the Maldives for the last 10 days... KIMURA: What where is he? (walks off camera looking for the producer)

WESTON: Well that's all we have time for in this edition of HEROIC Magazine, see you all at HEROIC 113

Rudy: Well I don’t think I even need to add anything to this preview the greatest fighter on the planet the undefeated Kimmy against this not so smart guy, my prediction Kimmy stays undefeated.

Weston: and my prediction is “Kimmy” Gets his arm snapped.

Jayson "The Afrodesiac" Timmons (26-14) v #7 Bjorn Helgi (18-5)

Weston: The next fight is another lightweight fight between 7th ranked Bjorn Helgi and Jayson "The Afrodesiac" Timmons. I don’t know about any of you but for some reason every time I see Timmons fight I get a wee bit horny aye? Timmons could very well be ranked in fact a win tonight and he would most likely make a huge jump possibly even into the top 5, but for now he comes into this unranked because he is 1-1 in Heroic. Helgi is 6-3, two of those losses are against the current champion. A former champion himself Helgi finds himself in strange territory on the bottom half of the rankings, but he is always dangerous his only losses have come to the champ, and the 3rd ranked fighter in the division.

Rudy: This is going to be a really great fight actually my early pick for FOTN. These two fighters are well-rounded and can fight where ever the fight takes place. However Timmons is a takedown machine maybe it comes from his Afrodesiac ways but he attempts over 5 takedowns per fight and lands around 30% of them. I think in typical fashion he will come out look to get the fight to the ground and put everyone in the mood with some good ole leg humping. Helgi; well lets expect the opposite Helgi is primarily a striker he doesn’t use his ground game offensively he lands a low percentage of his strikes in comparison to other fighters but its still around 50% he may try and take a little off his strikes so he can land a higher percentage especially since most of his fights in Heroic have went to decision landing a few more could help him swing the fight in his favor. I think this fight is going to be a back and forth fight that goes the distance I expect both to exhaust themselves in their efforts to win….so who wins?

Prediction: I think Helgi takes this one by decision.

Dumbass McWeakhands (32-14-1) v #8 Krwawy Lopez (15-5)

Weston: Up next is a Welterweight fight between 8th ranked former champion Krwawy Lopez and the debuting Dumbass McWeakhands. When Dumbass was signed to Heroic fans immediately got excited wanting to know who his first opponent would be, at last the long wait is over as Dumbass makes his debut and his first fight will be a challenger against a former champion. After losing his title Lopez had rough go but after two straight wins he may be back. A win against Dumbass and we will know for sure if Lopez is back in the mix as one of the top fighters in the division.

Rudy: This will be a good fight, Lopez is dangerous anywhere the fight takes place he can strike and fight on the ground where he really excels. Lopez lands 51% of his 4.3 takedowns per fight so when he shoots in there is a good chance the fight is going to the ground. Dumbass although good defensively on the ground will most likely never look to take the fight to the ground offensively, Expect him to keep the fight standing he defends nearly 75% of takedown attempts if he can defend the takedowns of Lopez and work on the feet he stands a good chance to win this fight.

Prediction: Lopez by decision.

Rocco "Monmount" Stupka (16-12) v Johnny "Pitt" Pitbull (21-12)

Weston: The first fight of the main card is a heavyweight clash between two fighters in the middle of the division looking to work their way back up to the top, both have experienced success and both know what its like to have setbacks in Heroic.

Rudy: This fight is going to be a striking battle that is determined by who has the better chin and who has the most power. When looking at these two fighters losses you see 50% of them come by (T)KO, on the flipside when you look at the wins nearly 85% of the wins between these two heavyweight powerhouses come by (T)KO. I think this fight ends pretty quickly as soon as one of them connects cleanly it should be over.

Prediction: I think Pitbull wins this one by (T)KO.

Lyov Kirijenko (18-17-1) v Kingston Bartholemeaux (23-14)
