***General news***

- The proposed events between Syn vs GAMMA posted here:

http://www.mmatycoon.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=38295

Has been put into some jeopardy. Main debating point is where the first event will take place and how many fighters will need to be involved. Negotiations are still open though if the opposition can be more reasonable in their terms.

- GAMMA has revised their contract policy. Due to the fact that we now have the GAMMA: Battleground!, fighters can move up and down to the other organization depending on their results in the cage. The problem with this is that if a sign on fee is included and the fighter rejects to resign, we lose the sign on fee. Last week around 7-8 such fighters rejected the "relegation" which cost GAMMA millions worth in money paid out. We have decided that the sign on fees will simply be included into the base pay, this way a fighter cannot simply "run away" with the sign on bonus.

On a side note, this past weekend was also the first event for the Battleground! The event was a huge success with a rating of 166+.

- This weekend will be the very last time GAMMA holds an event in Las Vegas after over 4 1/2 years. Vegas will always hold an important place for GAMMA and our fighters. We will not relocate our organization base. Around 50% of our roster is still based in Vegas, however as of now all events will be held in LA and London (the later being our more common destination).

- Balthasar Oosteroom is fighting Marco Maganin. On paper this seems to be just another low ranking GAMMA fight, however what makes this fight interesting is that Marco is not only Manager less, he is also Retired! Blathasar said prior to this weekends weight in that if he lost this fight he would also retire from the sport.

***Weekend Reviews***

Drazen Kadoic v Jia O Connor (Top level GAMMA fight)

Drazen Kadoic was the favorite, but nobody saw his as the Superman…….he surprised everyone though when he pulled out of his sleeve the superman punch to end the fight nice and early in round 1. Drazen is now in line for a 205lbs title fight, Jia will need to rethink his strategy in the next one as this was his first loss in 12 fight.

Degen Gambler v  Gegard Mousasi (Top level GAMMA fight)

I had Degen as the favorite for this fight. However Gegard did surprise me. Gegard has been a top level talent for a while now. Most of his career it has been in a top level org after previously fighting in Ascension. He needed a big win though after previously getting one against ex champ John Galt. This was probably what he was looking for and this puts him in close contention for the title fight. Degen has always had that small chance of a KO loss and against Gegard he did not get past the 2nd round after being dominated early in the 1st.

Arthur Curry v Billy "The Kid" Paxton (Top level GAMMA fight)

Arthur was the favorite and he showed why in this fight against newcomer Billy Paxton. It took Arthur just 40 seconds to get his second win in a row. He is now in line for a title fight next, if he can get past Usain Watts. For Billy i do not think there was any shame in this loss. The competition in GAMMA is fierce and this was his first real test in a top level org.
