Yet another great card and yet another stoned commentator. Sorry about they delay, I got so high after the fights that I passed out before getting to my car. I woke up in a library for some reason... Anyway let's go over last night's fights:

Kingston Bartholemeaux (14-7) Vs. Gzrel "Devil Angel" Mephistopheles (5-2)

This wasn't just a battle of the long names. Yet another of RSM's rising stars what pitted against another veteran. Bartholemeaux being the more well rounded fighter, one would think he would try and take Mephistopheles down... But Bartholemeaux was determined to stand and bang. This was truly a three round slug fest that went back and forth, with Bartholemeaux coming out of top of most exchanges. Mephistopheles was persistent with the combos throughout the fight and that's what costed him. He was swinging too wide and too hard just looking for the KO, instead of trying to land solid strikes. Bartholemeaux's volume punching paid offnear the midpoint of the third round when he stopped Mephistopheles on cuts...

The Flash (5-1) Vs. Rallo Brown (10-7)

This welterweight bout pitted yet another hungry young lion against an experienced warrior looking for redemption. The younger Flash was able to wear down Brown with body kicks an chopped away at his legs until almost stopping him early in this first round. Brown showed heart however, he was able to recover and battle his way to the second round. A few seconds into the round Brown walked into a left hand then was dropped by a huge head kick, Flash killer instincts kicked in and he went for the kill...

"Dr." Mike Smith (21-18) Vs. Nicolay Matviyenko (2-1)

Seriously? Who booked this? Not to discredit both fighters but Smith had way to much of an advantage... In everything! Smith taught Matviyenko what MMA really means, punishing him with kicks, punches, takedowns and dominating him in the clinch. A desperate Matviyenko was forced to swing wildly and hope to catch Smith coming in... Unfortunately this never happened...

Patrick "The Criminal" Buckingham (5-3) Vs. Bill "Billy" NoMates (9-18)

Buckingham may have a criminal record but he can definitely bring it. This matchup put two skillful, granite chins against each other, the question was "Who will break first?". Buckingham answered that respectfully as he drove NoMates into the Muay Thai clinch and battered him with strikes. NoMates was no match for Buckingham superior stand up, he his lackluster attempt to fight back failed he did the one thing he could do, take Buckingham down. NoMates work vigorously to submit Buckingham but he managed to wiggle out and get the fight back in it's feet. After a ten minute beatdown, NoMates crumble to Buckingham's punches. Let's hope he doesn't get arrested for assault...

Johnny Cerveny (12-10) Vs. "The Russian Rocket" Alex Burkhart (22-10

Cervant actually suprised me, and that's saying something. Ask my ex-girlfriend... Burkhart wasted no time at getting the fight into the ground and working some vicious submissions. Cervany displayed his Defensive Grappling as he managed to brush off Burkhart's submissions and guard passes. Cervany eventually managed to get the fight on it's feet an dominate there earning him the necessary points to win a very close decision. I know Burkhart is pissed right now...
