New BFT Champ Tatsuhiko JR interview!

Fighter profile of Akihito Tatsuhiko Jr by Cisco Gomez

Akihito "Rikiya" Tatsuhiko Jr  Decisions Curtis Sharp at BFT 245: Hard knock Life 6.

Rp: First off congratulations on your win.

JR: Thanks a lot, it took time but I finally reclaimed what belongs to me!

Rp: How did you feel coming into this championship bout? If I’m right this was your 2nd fight in 7 days?

JR: I felt really good man, I was able to come out of my fight with Nitschke without any serious injury and asked for the shot and was given it.

Rp: How did this fight come to fruition because wasn’t it  a last minute addition?

JR: I got a call about facing the champ and you just don’t say no to that. I could have been hurt and still would have fought. You just don’t give up those opportunities ya know?

Rp: Yea I can understand that. Now what is next for you?

JR: That is up to BFT, they have been good to me and have allowed me to fight the best and gave me the opportunity to become champ.

Rp: So you’re riding a 4 fight win streak and just won the title, rumor has it some other offers came rolling in?

JR: haha of course you would ask that. I got some lucrative offers from other orgs but I have fought 25 times in BFT and am happy here, I would like to retire in this ORG.

Rp: Retire? You thinking about it already?

JR: No way man! I am only 29 and barely reaching my peak dude, but I do have over 40 fights and know that at some point it will be time to hang it up but that is a whiles away and when the time comes I would like to retire in BFT.

Rp: ok good! Just making sure you aren’t leaving us just yet. Before this interview you said you weren’t too happy with how you performed why not?

JR: Well I wanted to come in to the fight and finish Sharp so I could make a statement but I came up short on that.

Rp: Sharp has only been finished 5 times in over 40 fights so it is a hard task for any fighter! You did win 4 rounds to 1.

JR: He is definitely one tough SOB! I may have won 4 rounds but he did not make it easy on me. I am sure he will be a contender again soon.

Rp: Well this interview is coming to an end any last words to say?

JR: I would like to thank all the fans, BFT and all my training partners who helped me get ready. As well as Kaiser for sponsoring me and helping me reach my goal!
