UPF-M 23: Satanae vs Vanko was a mixed martial arts event held on November 16, 2013 at Hayashi's Lounge in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

The Action

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Charles Manson (2-6) vs Justin Johnson (0-5)

-[Outcome]: Both of these guys were in desperate need of a victory coming into this fight. Both guys had lost four straight fights coming in. Charles Manson proved to be the better of the two with a lightning quick knockout. Charles Manson extends his professional career while Johnson is released to compete elsewhere. Charles Manson def. Justin Johnson via KO (Head Kick) at 0:39 of round 1.

-[Welterweight bout]: Anderson Jones (4-4) vs Alexito Mustacho (1-2)

-[Outcome]: Alexito Mustacho moved up to welterweight after finding sparse competition at lightweight. Alexito dominated Anderson Jones for the first two rounds by keeping the fight standing with his excellent wrestling. Jones got a takedown early in the third round but was unable to secure a submission. Alexito Mustacho def. Anderson Jones via Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-28, 30-28).

-[Welterweight bout]: Jeremy Jenkins Jr (0-0) vs. Alex Gonzales (2-2)

-[Outcome]: Jeremy Jenkins Jr controlled this fight with his wrestling, forcing Alex to clinch with him before securing a takedown and a submission. Beautifully done. Jeremy Jenkins Jr def. Alex Gonzales via Submission (Triangle) at 2:18 of round 1.

-[Heavyweight bout]: Alucard Tepes (3-3) vs Mike Balrog (0-0)

-[Outcome]: While Alucard was desperately trying to get some wrestling going, Mike Balrog was landing accurate strikes that put Alucard Tepes on queer street without cab fare. Mike Balrog def. Alucard Tepes via KO (Punch) at 3:19 of round 1.

-[Welterweight bout]: Johny Baker (5-1) vs Prince Symbol (5-5)

-[Outcome]: Johny Baker seemed to dominate the first round by countering the missed strikes of Prince Symbol. In the second round, Baker seemed to slow down a bit and it became Prince Symbol capitalizing on his opponent's mistakes with counter shots. In the final round, Baker tried desperately to get the fight into a clinch position but lost control of it and paid for it with his consciousness. Prince Symbol def. Johny Baker via TKO (Strikes) at 4:17 of round 3.

-[Middleweight bout]: Time “2” Bang (2-1) vs Rupert Psmith (2-0)

-[Outcome]: There was a time not long ago where I honestly expected Time Bang to become an unstoppable, undefeated top contender that would face the middleweight champion. However, Rupert Psmith was unfazed by his opponent's reputation and put a beating on him. Time tried desperately to get a takedown but just couldn't do it. Rupert kept his composure and picked his shots which paid off in the form of a beautiful knee knockout. Bang was diving in for a takedown and took it right on the button. Rupert Psmith def. Time Bang via KO (Knee) at 0:51 of round 1.

-[Lightweight bout]: Sho Goon (8-6) vs Zeus Jupiter (3-1)

-[Outcome]: Sho Goon scored a takedown straight out of the gate and paused to wait for his opponent to take action. Zeus Jupiter tried to roll for a submission of some sort and Goon capitalized by slipping into full mount. Jupiter gave up his back trying to escape and fell into the choke finish of Sho Goon. Sho Goon def. Zeus Jupiter via Submission (Rear Naked Choke) at 1:26 of round 1.

-[Lightweight Championship bout]: Stacee Jaxee (5-1) vs Brian McCarthy (2-2)

-[Outcome]: The first ever lightweight title fight started out with a bang... McCarthy pushed Jaxee against the cage and dragged him to the ground. On the ground, McCarthy appeared to dominate Jaxee with his wrestling but opted out of a very dominant position for some reason.

In the clinch it was all McCarthy landing elbows and knees, battering his opponent against the cage. The second round showed McCarthy starting to fade a bit on the cardiovascular frontier as the volume of strikes that he attempted began to take its toll. As Jaxee began to avoid his strikes in the clinch, McCarthy tossed Jaxee to the ground. However, Jaxee immediately took control in that position and comfortably won the round.

The third round was a clinch battle that saw Jaxee doing the most damage, going as far as to rock McCarthy and pull him into a couple of submission attempts.

In the fourth round, Jaxee kept his distance and picked his shots, landing clean and putting McCarthy away for good.

Stacee Jaxee def. Brian McCarthy via TKO (Punches) at 1:19 of round 4 to become the new undisputed lightweight champion of the world!

-[Heavyweight bout]: George McFly (4-1) vs Huey Freeman (5-0)

-[Outcome]: McFly tried valiantly to keep this fight in the clinch but Freeman was having none of it. Instead, the TWGC standout brought the fight to the ground and pounded on McFly until the referee decided that he had had enough and halted the contest. Huey Freeman def. George McFly via TKO (Strikes) at 3:47 of round 1.

-[Heavyweight Championship bout]: Tigellinus Satanae(c) (9-0) vs Ivan Vanko (9-6)

-[Outcome]: In perhaps the most shocking fight of the night, Ivan Vanko happily clinched with The Heavyweight Champion. Satanae immediately began pelting The Challenger with damaging knees to the dome. Vanko responded by picking Satanae up and slamming him to the canvas. Vanko went for a high risk heel hook submission and ended up on his back with The Champion in his guard. That was NOT where the ground and pound specialist wanted to be.

The Champion started to work a little ground and pound of his own but didn't do much damage with it. As he attempted to escape to his feet, Vanko swept him and started teeing off with brutal punches and elbows from above. Tigellinus was trapped beneath Vanko and was eating shot after shot. The referee, seeing the bloody mess that was once the face of the heavyweight division, called in the cage-side doctor that declared Satanae unfit to continue by reason of goat's vagina. If you don't know what that means, just move on people. Ivan Vanko def. Tigellinus Satanae via TKO (Doctor Stoppage) at 4:58 of round 1 to become the new undisputed heavyweight champion of the world!
