Bedlam 61: Anderson Vs Carter

Event Preview: Bedlam 61: Anderson Vs Carter
Bedlam
2011-11-17, Los Angeles, Hyashi's Lounge - Los Angeles
Author:

MAIN EVENT Frank Anderson v Rick Carter Frank Anderson: Andersons 8th fight with Bedlam see's him, on
paper, out match his opponent in nearly every aspect of the game. Coming off the back of a win via TKO at Bedlam 59 Anderson will look to double his win streak against Carter. Rick Carter: Also coming off the back of a win at Bedlam 59, this one by way of Submission, Carter a 7 fight Bedlam veteran appears to equal his opponent only on the matts. However he'll have confidence going into this match-u having beaten Frank Anderson before.

CO-MAIN EVENT (185lb Title) Jack Jaw v Turd Ferguson

Jack Jaw: The 10-3 fighter is riding a 2 fight win streak that saw him claim the Bedlam 185lb title last time out t Bedlam 58 against Erik Olsgaard. A fighter equally at home in the championship rounds as he is TKOing his opponents, will be tested in his 1st defence of the title. Turd Ferguson: Ferguson a mainstay with Bedlam since its inception has had 17 fights under its banner, with a 2 fight win streak ongoing his current run of form has seen him thrown back into title contention. A title that has illuded him ever since his 1st crack at it way back at Bedlam 26 where he lost via KO to Scott Morgan. Tonight Ferguson will seek to take this fight to the ground and use his superior Jitz in an attempt to finally call the 185lb strap his own

Fight 3 Frank Garcia v Mark Harrison

Frank Garcia: Garcia's last outing at Bedlam 59 saw him take home the Fight Of The Night award along with the win for his KO against Earl Alexander and he'll be hoping for more of the same tonight. Things look like they could get rocky though and he'll need to utilise good boxing sliders to better his opponent. Mark Harrison: Harrison appears to be on a march to the top here at Beldlam, winning both fights since signing with the Org. Showing solid stand-up and a rounded ground game he looks good value for the win tonight.

Fight 4 Leonid Vasilevsky v Kustaa Pohjanala

Leonid Vasilevsky: After winning the title on his debut with the Org Leonids fortunes has been somewhat mixed. Currently 4-3 with Bedlam he'll be looking to put the hurt on Pohjanala and
for that to ahppen he'll want to take this to the floor, with superior Jitz and having won the majority of his fights via submission its obvious thats his comfort zone. Kustaa Pohjanala: Journeyman Pohjanala is looking to get back into title contention with a win over Leonid Vasilevsky, another fighter that has been within touching distance of the title but never quite found the form on the night, he'll want to repeat
his victory at Bedlam 48 by any means necessary.
Fight 5 Erik Olsgaard v Tom Slater

Erik Olsgaard: Olsgaards title loss agianst Jack Jaw at Bedlam 58 saw him drop down the rankings and he now finds himself fighting an undefeated up and comer, finishing all of the fights he has won he'll want to rebound and give slater a new experience. Tom Slater: Slater is yet to taste defeat and his last fight saw him pick up KO Of The Night. I'd expect him to try and use his wrestling to grind out a result in this one as his opponent has far superior stand-up skills and is on a mission to get back to the top. A win however could see Slater in with a title shot.

Fight 6 Dwyane Wade v Jacque St Martin (170lb Title - Vacant)

Dwyane Wade: Mr Bedlam, Wade has only ever seen competition within the Org and tonight see's loyalty repaid by way of a title shot. Its a title shot he could well win too as he dominates 3 of the 4 primaries going into the event. Having failed at his last 2 attempts to grasp the holy grail he'll be wanting to put that demon to bd tonight with a strong display for the vacant title. Jacque St Martin: On a 2 fight win streak St Martin finds himself in hi very first title fight. He'll need to use his Muay Thai skills to full effect though against a fighter who is desperate for the title.

Fight 7 Daniel Do v Marcus Silva
Daniel Do: The face of the new school "Do" comes undefeated at 2-0 and packing a decent ground game, stylistically this is a good fight for him but his youth may play against him. Marcus Silva: Experienced Silva finds himself in the unenviable position of stopping the hands of time, facing a 21 year old in his debut for Bedlam. But with 18 bouts to his name he'll look to teach the young gun some tricks that can only be taught through service.

Fight 8 ZPrizzy Simmons v Bony Phony

ZPrizzy Simmons: 2 time OTN winner with Bedlam Simmons has had a mixed bag of a career and it doesn't look to have got any better with this fight, out matched on the feet and the ground he may
find his 2 fight win streak stopped in its tracks tonight. Bony Phony: Another fighter with a mixed bag of a career finds himself debuting with Bedlam. On a 5 fight losing streak the once heralded Phony is now 16-13 in all competitions. He'll want to change his fortunes around against a fighter he is primarily superior than.

Fight 9 Akira Hayashida v Gregory House
Akira Hayashida: A boxer with seemingly no chin, Hashayida comes to the fight on 2 losses via strikes of some kind. Can he turn the tide and draw his record even, tonight we'll find out. Gregory House: In stark contrast House is 2-0 winning both by KO including beating his opponent last time round. He'll be super
pumped for this fight and will want to end it even sooner if possible. So there we have it folks, Bedlam 61 brings 2 title fights to the card and a host of up and comers, be sure to tune in to see the event on the 17th November and see who takes the bounties and who is left cleaning there wounds.
