TTFC: Tally Vs Howlett

Event Preview: TTFC Talley Vs Howlett
Team Thomas Fight Club
2014-01-04, New York, Credit Card Center
Author:King Scooby

On New Years day we saw 10 fighters start off on the right foot while we saw quite a few others start the year off not on their feet. Welcome back to TTFC as we prepare for Talley vs Howlett we want to take a look back at Wednesday Night fights after bringing in the New Year and shaking off the hangover's I can guarantee you that Ramses Dinkin did not party until after his fight and Jai Malek had the side effects of a hangover because he was drunk. Punch drunk that is. Ramses's beauty of a knockout over Jai Malek came right on the button and had fans out of their seats immediately. Frank Bellator was able to submit Asher Asher in almost no time early in the first round and the best fight of the year so far stands as Joeli Babitu went away with a Majority decision victory over Bransen Garibold.

Co-named put up or shut up is what King of Kings Marvin will have to do as he has now dropped his first two matches since joining TTFC. The highly regarded lightweight became a world beater before his arrival here but now he must do whatever he can to pull it back together and prove to New York that he can win fights here. Against the shorter Lars Thundstrom he will have a tall order since this TTFC top contender has won 5 of his 7 since joining the organization. Lars and Marvin are both similar in regard to their skillsets as both fighters have made a living taking fights to the ground and finishing them, this will be a verson of TTFC's very own TWGC style fight, not based on rules but on skills. All you Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fans tune in, I think this will be a great one and King Marvin will take the victory and right his ship.

Before we get into the main event i'd like to give you my card predictions.

Help Me Out over Rory Markman

Professor Sub Zero over Georges St. Pierre

Mini Boxo over Kevin Garnett

Convicted Killer over Bobby Langston

Hellson Ballswick over Bobby Nieddds

Randy Natural over Gable Bot

Tyson Gauge over Sluggo Brott

For our main event we have the 170lb title on the line once again where Logan Howlett will defend his newly earned belt against the surging KJ Talley. Logan earned the title in his last fight of 2013 flooring Ratt Hughes with a head kick in the third round that won him the fight. Not that he necessarily needed the head kick but it seemed inevitable as Howlett cruised through the first two rounds and left Hughes dazed by a tight jab at the end of the second round. Teddy Atlas wouldve deemed Hughes saved by the bell. But in the third round he wasnt so lucky. Talley has went 3-0 destroying all of TTFC's competition that stepped in the cage across from him. At 14-1 he has shown his dominance all over the world and as he nears the end of his first contract at TTFC we hope that he decids to continue his career here for an extended period of time. This fight against Howlett will no doubt be the hardest test he has ever run into being that he has no weakness in any of his governing skills. Its a factor to be reckoned with when you consider that Howlett has only lost one fight since 2012 and he has only 4 losses in his entire career and 7-1 since joining TTFC. I have to be honest, this is one of the hardest fights to predict, hopefully it lives up to the hype and we will get the opportunity to see this fight multiple times instead of once.

Mike Thomas has put together a great card and an awesome title fight and I cannot wait to see the results. Remember take your bets to MFN Bookies, have fun and TO ALL, ENJOY!
