Official Results

(The Prelims)

-[Lightweight bout]: Rob Boudreault vs. Mark Dill

-[Results]: Rob Boudreault shoved Mark Dill against the cage, slammed him to the mat, and submitted him like it ain't no thang. This performance earned him the submission of the night award. Rob Boudreault def. Mark Dill via Submission (Armbar) at 2:57 of round 1.

-[Welterweight bout]: Anderson Jones vs. Prince Symbol

-[Results]: Anderson Jones came out cautious, hoping to counter into a takedown. However, Prince Symbol opted to land technical, accurate strikes which left no room for the counter striking of Jones. Prince Symbol def. Anderson Jones via KO (Punches) at 2:58 of round 1.

-[Welterweight bout]: Max Lacroix vs. Kalil Fayyad

-[Results]: The undefeated welterweight prospect Max Lacroix opened up in this fight by pushing the grappler against the cage. As Fayyad failed to pull guard from this position, Lacroix tagged him with a shot to the body. Fayyad figured he'd had enough of that nonsense so he pushed off and got back to the center of the cage. Fayyad tried once more to score a takedown but failed to get it. Lacroix, meanwhile, landed with accurate and devastating single strikes including the fight ending head kick. Max Lacroix def. Kalil Fayyad via KO (Head Kick) at 0:25 of round 1.

-[Light-heavyweight bout]: Philmore Butts vs. Anthony Alvarez

-[Results]: These two sluggers met in the center of the cage and started trading leather right away. Philmore threw a more voluminous arsenal of strikes and landed more frequently. Alvarez had trouble keeping up with Butts who is a known finisher. Philmore sensed his opponent's hesitation and pounced, dropping and finishing the fellow striker with brutal punches. Philmore Butts def. Anthony Alvarez via KO (Punch) at 1:07 of round 1.

-[Heavyweight bout]: Huey Freeman vs. Alucard Tepes

-[Results]: Huey Freeman dominated this fight on the feet and inevitably on the ground where his submission style made short work of Tepes. Huey Freeman def. Alucard Tepes via KO (Strikes) at 4:55 of round 1.

(Main Card)

-[Welterweight bout]: Nando De Leeuw vs. Alexito Mustacho

-[Results]: Alexito Mustacho made the very interested decision to stand and bang with De Leeuw despite being seriously outgunned on the feet. While it made for an exciting fight and a highlight reel finish, I doubt that that is what Mustacho had in mind. Nando De Leeuw def. Alexito Mustacho via TKO (Strikes) at 1:57 of round 2.

-[Lightweight bout]: Stacee Jaxee vs. Sean Sorrowe

-[Results]: Former lightweight champion Stacee Jaxee came out looking to land straight punches on the former welterweight contender. Sorrowe, for his part, avoided the strikes and took the fight to the ground as quickly as possible. On the ground, the ground and pound of Sorrowe proved to be far too much for the former champion who was eventually overwhelmed and stopped. Sean Sorrowe def. Stacee Jaxee via TKO (Strikes) at 3:56 of round 1.

-[Welterweight bout]: Henry Jones vs. Kaz Yago

-[Results]: After a very brief stalemate on the feet, Henry Jones dove in for a takedown that he nailed. Jones started working with ground and pound from side control but opted to stand up from the dominant position. Kaz Yago started landing those punches that he finishes so often with and Jones scored a second takedown into side control. After eating a few more shots from above, Yago managed to explode out of the position and reset to his feet. Back at a distance, Yago started working those punches and managed to clip Jones, knocking him on his ass. Yago dove in to Jones's guard and performed a little lay-n-pray. The referee stood the fighters up and Yago went back to work with the punches, finally dropping Jones a second time and finishing him with ground and pound. Kaz Yago def. Henry Jones via TKO (Strikes) at 3:59 of round 1.

-[Welterweight bout]: Frits Larsson vs. Bradly Danielson

-[Results]:

First Round - Daniel Larsson aggressively struck with Danielson early which wasn't a strategy that I would have recommended to him. He managed to tackle Danielson into a clinch position against the cage which is where he shines. Against the cage, Danielson had nothing for Larsson who struck aggressively and frequently. Danielson managed to get free and work some more of his striking.

Second Round - Danielson managed to rock Larrson briefly and for the most part avoid a clinch situation. Larsson did have his shining moments in the second frame where he kept Danielson against the cage but Danielson seemed to have the edge. The third round more heavily favored Danielson who avoided the clinch game most of the time and opened a cut on the face of Larsson. Bradly Danielson def. Fritz Larrson via Unanimous Decision (30-28, 30-27, 30-27).

-[Welterweight Championship bout]: Bear Stevenson(c) vs. Nyrkilla Tapettava

-[Results]:

First Round – The two fighters exchanged single shots early. While the champion landed punches, the challenger preferred leg kicks to slow the movement of his opponent. Then, Tapettava scored with a heavy takedown into the guard of the welterweight champion. Tapettava savaged the champion with blow after blow from above while trying to advance position. Suddenly, the champion exploded into a sweep! He reversed the position and landed in Tapettava's guard. On top, Stevenson stalled to deny Tapettava the opportunity to escape and to force a referee standup- which he succeeded in. Tapettava scored another takedown immediately but Stevenson managed to not only escape but he took Tapettava's back! The round ended with Stevenson riding Tapettava's back with one hook in, landing ground and pound. The judges gave the round to Tapettava for his takedowns and his damage but the champion showed that he's no slouch on the ground.

Second Round – For the first minute and a half, the two fighters exchanged shots at a distance. Tapettava started incorporating head kicks into his kicking regiment while the champion threw punches and kicks. Tapettava scored with another takedown, this time into side control. As the challenger worked ground and pound, the champion managed to get to full guard to minimize damage. Tapettava dominated the round but he was unable to generate the level of power that we see him use to batter and finish opponents.

Third Round – Going into this third round Stevenson really had to know that he was down two rounds to nothing. Immediately as this round began, he bum rushed Tapettava and pinned him against the cage. Tapettava tried to take control in the clinch but Stevenson was able to maintain his positioning. Stevenson worked the short range punches and Tapettava tried desperately to regain control. Tapettava worked very hard to get a takedown to break out of this awful clinched position but Stevenson stuffed attempt after attempt. Once out of the clinch, Stevenson turned up the heat on Tapettava. Tapettava tried to keep pace, landing more leg kicks, but he was noticeably exhausted here. Stevenson landed a beautiful punch combination that sent Tapettava to his back. Tapettava was in all sorts of trouble back on his feet but he still tried to fire back. Stevenson landed another brilliant shot that staggered Tapettava and sent him back down. This time Stevenson followed him to the ground and swarmed him with punch after punch. The referee noped and this fight was stopped. Bear Stevenson def. Nyrkilla Tapettava via TKO (Strikes) at 3:17 of round 3 to retain the undisputed welterweight championship of the world!
