Hey everybody. Folgers here. Working for an org under the Evil Empire umbrella has given me the ability to connect with certain individuals who support their cause. I have contacted some of them and they have agreed to write previews and reviews for Throwdown events. Without further ado here is the preview for the upcoming Throwdown 10 event, written by the one and only Skeletor.

------

Greetings fools! It is I Skeletor, the Overlord of Evil! I am not just writing for the sake of it. No, I am much more clever than that. I am scouting for my goonish army and my inevitable takeover of Castle Grayskull and Eternia. Hopefully one of these creepies will have what it takes to defeat He Man. Ahahahahahahhah.

185 Tony Twister 16-14 vs Charlie Krauthammer 2-0

This is Krauthammer's first ever fight in a big time fight organization. As a veteran of the sport, Twister will be a tough draw for him. Is Krauthammer ready for this step up in attention? He has the power to send Twister and his less than desirable chin to the mat. However, if Twister takes this fight to the ground it could sway much more to his favor. Alas I must go with the young up and comer.

Prediction: Krauthammer by (T)KO

135 Steve Martin 9-6-1 (1 NC) vs Kenji Matsushita 6-5

Next we have some tiny men doing battle? They must be mighty warriors if they are that small and engaging in brutish combat. Matsushita seems to be in the middle of a bit of a slump. He started off his career impressively winning five of his first six fights. I don't expect his slump to end just yet. Steve Martin is a high level boxer who is eager to get back to his winning ways. If Kenji connects cleanly with a shot he could put Martin away, but I see that as a bit of a longshot. Martin's Boxing will prove too much.

Prediction: Martin by (T)KO

155 Renato Cardoso 17-11 (1 NC) vs Dakota Martin 4-0

Martin looks like a young superstar on the rise. He's 4-0 and has yet to hear the bell of a second round. No you fool, not because he's deaf! He has knocked all of his opponents out in the first round. Cardoso on the other hand is on a four fight win streak of his own. He isn't the striker that Martin is, but he does have an outstanding submission game. If it goes to the ground, dare I say, Cardoso would emerge the victor. As of now I must go with what the crystals tell me. Martin's streak will continue.

Prediction: Martin by (T)KO

155 CHAMPIONSHIP! Roman Yakimyuk 15-7-1 vs Nycky Downtime 28-23-1

Well well well a championship fight. At last a battle with some real stakes! Both of these fellows have punched around the block a few times. Even a couple times with each other. In their first battle, Downtime came out on top with a TKO victory. In the second fight Yakimyuk won by TKO. Who will win the rubber match when a title is on the line? I think someone will get knocked out. Other than He Man that is, ahahahahahhahaha!

Prediction: Yakimuk by (T)KO

170 Bruce Alvarez Banner 31-16-1 vs Vergil Blanco Rocha 15-9 (1 NC)

Oooooohhh I don't like the looks of this Banner fellow. He reminds me of some green beastie I've heard of through the evil network. He's looking to work back up to the title, before he passes into the oblivion of 40, with a win over Rocha. He is the likely favorite here with a great offensive ground game and the power to put his opponent away. I think Rocha will find a way to win, even if there is some devious help on his side. He'll stay on his feet and pepper Banner with shots.

Prediction: Rocha by Decision

185 Suporn Red Gym 27-19-1 vs Henry Ngo 20-15

Red Gym lives for ground and pound. Which intrigues me because He Man's guard is suspect at best. He could pound away on the bumbling hero until the cows come home! Ngo is not He Man though. His BJJ is at a very high level. I suspect he would break all of He Man's limbs if they ever met on the ground. Oooooooo I love this battle. Red Gym could win this with a good shot. Ngo could win it catching his opponent in a submission. This could go either way.

Prediction: Ngo by Submission

185 Damon Pierce 29-18 vs Cray Daddy Tay 19-12

The BJJ of Pierce is intriguing in this matchup. He holds a clear advantage over my crustacean friend here. Submitting the former champ would go a long way towards Pierce's goal of holding the title himself. Tay's boxing is quite formidable though. If it isn't a constant ground war I'd expect Tay to win. The wrestling will be key to this fight. If it goes to the ground, Pierce will take it. If it doesn't, I have to imagine it's all Tay.

Prediction: Pierce by Submission

265 Bubba Gump 20-12 vs Mark Sutter 21-15

In this battle of heavyweight contenders it looks like an inevitability that this ends with a knock out. Two heavy handed sluggers with less than desirable chins and a penchant for wars. This should be a fun one. These two look fairly even with Sutter having a bit of a Muay Thai advantage. Both men also have sneaky good submission games that I expect to cancel out. Only a fool would expect any outcome other than a knock out in this one.

Prediction: Gump by (T)KO

185 CHAMPIONSHIP! Kazushi Sakuraba 18-1-2 vs Musashi Kato 18-6

Finally, the moment we've all been waiting for. The two men fighting for the 185 pound title and more importantly the two men with the best chance at defeating He Man and his band of goodlies. Both are on strong win streaks. 5 for Sakuraba and 11 for Kato. Two of the most important pieces to this puzzle are the chins of these men. Both have only been knocked out once in their careers. With some of the opponents they've faced that is saying something. The only clear advantage seems to be Kato's BJJ. He is a blackbelt and can is also no slouch on the feet. Sakuraba is the champ for a reason and I would in no way be shocked to see him emerge with the belt yet again. I just don't see him lasting the entire fight without being dragged to the ground.

Prediction: Kato by Submission

Good luck to all and may the most evil fighters prosper!
