Finally! EHH’s first event has come and passed, I was waiting for what felt like forever for this. I’m not sure how good it was considering it was our first event but there were a lot of empty seats. We should have given out more free tickets! Stupid assistant… but don’t worry about her, I fired that bitch and got a new, younger, sexier one that knows how to do her job! Anyway, here’s a review of our event.

Preliminary Bout Number 1 - Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Brian Snapp Defeats Bob “The“ Builder

Well, I was wrong on this one, but I knew it could go either way. Builder came out aggressive and swinging… hitting a whole lot of air! He missed with most of his strikes and took a jab to the face from Snapp and immediately had a cut over his eye. The next minute or so consisted of a lot of missed strikes from both fighters, along with some failed takedown attempts. After two minutes they were in the clinch, Snapp scored with a decent looking right hand and broke the clinch. Builder immediately rebuttals with a right, left combo and misses both leaving him open. Snapp takes advantage and manages to land a big hook, jab, hook combo and sends Builder to the ground he quickly dives in with a huge hammer fist and that’s it, lights out for Builder.

Preliminary Bout Number 2 - Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

Brighton Baxtor defeats Lee “Champ” Rory

This fight lasted a lot longer than I expected but ultimately ended up the way I expected. The bell rings and Rory immediately scores a takedown into half guard. He wasn’t able to do much once he got there, Baxter regained full guard and threw his legs up for a triangle which Rory was able to defend. Baxter gets a sweep and has his way with Rory passing guards and try for submissions at will but Rory somehow defends against them. With the first round coming to an end, Baxter throws in a couple nice right hands to the head.

In the second round Baxter was more aggressive and tried to keep the fight on the ground. The wrestler clearly didn’t want to be on his back and stuffed the takedown attempts with ease and scored another one of his own. Baxter immediately gets the sweep and basically does the same thing the entire round until he has an “oops” moment and allows Rory to take his back, but he quickly rolls into half guard and Rory literally does nothing from the top. Allowing Baxter to regain full guard and then throw his legs up and lock on with a triangle putting Rory to sleep with just fifteen seconds left in the round.

Preliminary Bout Number 3 - Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Jeeves “Reggie” Reginald defeats Frank Dukes

Another wrong pick for me, good thing we haven’t setup a bookies yet. The fight starts and Reginald immediately goes for a takedown and it is easily avoided. Dukes returns fire and throws a quick jab that instantly opens up his opponent’s nose. He continues to throw some nice punches and stuffs 3 more takedowns in the first minute. Reginald decides to clinch and after a few more tries manages to pull guard. Some ground and pound from Dukes is easily avoided and after some good effort Reginald manages to get the sweep. Not much happens from here and the ref calls for a standup. Reginald shoots for a takedown and pushes Dukes against the cage and pulls guard from the clinch. Dukes starts to wiggle around and try to get some posture but Reginald slips his arms under his head and grabs on to a nasty looking guillotine from the bottom and Dukes is forced to tape at 4:22 of the first round.

Preliminary Bout Number 4 - Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Bill Burly defeats Lenny “The Governor” MacLaine

I’m wrong again, I’m really starting to be glad I didn’t choose poker as my profession. MacLaine gets his first takedown attempt into half guard and Burly quickly recovers into full guard. Burly starts throwing strikes from his back. MacLaine doesn’t do much and the ref calls for a standup. Burly shoots in for a takedown, lands in half guard and connects with some nice ground and pound. After taking a few shots, Maclaine gets the wrist control and prevents Burly from doing any more damage and forces another standup. Burly closes in with the clinch against the cage and lands a couple strikes from all angles. Burly manages to get the trip into guard and lands with some more ground and pound, MacLaine gets rocked, takes a huge elbow and 2 more huge shots and that it, his hands drop to the mat and the ref stops the fight Burly gets the win by KO at 3:55 of the first round.

Preliminary Bout Number 5 – Middleweight Fight (185lbs)

Eddy "Jurigi" Hwang defeats Olver “Twist” Bumb

I was right about this fight, and luckily it was our only one that went to decision. I’ll keep the recap short since it was a pretty boring fight. The entire thing consisted of Bumb trying takedowns and failing almost every time. He went 2 for 24 and when he did get them, Hwang was able to immediately get back to his feet. Hwang let loose a bunch of low kicks and head punches, connecting with about half of them, never able to get the finish. He took a win by unanimous decision from the judges.

Main Card Bout Number 1 – Heavyweight fight (265lbs)

Ace Quinton defeats Eki Lollo

Another good pick for me. Lollo comes out aggressive, lands a body shot and the misses with a combination. Quinton grabs on with a clinch real quick and lets go. Quinton makes Lollo look silly as he avoids his wild swinging and lands just a few, but very significant punches and sends Lollo to the mat. Quinton follows him down and Lollo gains half guard but takes another strike that cuts him open. Not much more happens and the ref is forced to stand them up. Lollo throws a 2 punch combo that easily gets avoided and lands a jab followed by a huge cross and then throws a monster uppercut that sends Lollo to the ground in a bloody mess. Earning the knockout of the night at 1:29 in the first roumd. He took his time to thank his fans and that gave him a huge popularity bonus.

Main Card Bout Number 2 - Lightweight Fight (155lbs)

Blazed Gracie defeats Edwin “Avila” Mighty Wincho

Looks like my predictions are getting a little better in the main card as I got another one right, although I didn’t imagine it being so one sided. Wincho darts in for a clinch and is quickly countered by Gracie with a takedown into half guard. Gracie immediately starts pulling on every limb he can find, and after 8 tries he finally locks in an arm triangle at 3:58 in the first round. Not a very exciting fight but hey, he got the easy win.

Main Card Bout Number 3 - Bantamweight (135)

Alex “Swarm” Gurmorow defeats Bustos Stallermo

Inevitably, I’m wrong again. Gurmorow starts off with a straight and a hook to the body. They each exchange and dodge a few strikes until Gurmorow gets a takedown into guard. For the rest of the round Gurmorow sits on top and throws some ground and pound with Stallermo not really doing much about it. Round two comes and Gurmorow again shoots for a takedown and gets it. Gurmorow lands some more punches and elbows from the top and after three minutes manages to rock his opponent. Stallermo is defending against the onslaught as best as he can, and doing pretty well at that but Gumorow is relentless and just continues the barrage against him and eventually he becomes unable defend himself well enough and the judge calls a stop to the fight just two seconds before the end of round two, questionable? Maybe… Alex Gurmorow wins by TKO

Co Main Event – Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Leiro Nayr defeats Alexusso Bolir

Another good pick for me, and I needed it. This one was over pretty quickly and the fans seem to have loved it. Nayr showed his dominance from the beginning and landed with some jabs. He pushes Bolir up against the cage and lands some big head shots. After two big right hands Bolir drops like a brick and Nayr dives in to finish it up, earning a win by TKO and the Fight of the Night award at just 0:50 of the first round.

Main Event - Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Roland Daniels defeats Frank Malone

Well, was our first main event ever and it seemed to be pretty entertaining although not amazing. Malone immediately tries for a few clinch attempts and manages to get it on the third try. Once they were in the clinch Malone throw a bunch of punches, missing with most but landing a few good ones. That basically sums up round one.

In round two Malone again tries to clinch but takes a short right cross that leaves him with a cut. Now that they’re out of the clinch Daniels gets aggressive as he knows he’s losing on the scorecard. Daniels shows some good hands and some clean punches to the face and body, both of these guys are getting completely exhausted and Daniels manages to be the one to power through and lands a good straight punch that goes straight trhough Malone’s guard and gets followed up by a couple hooks and Malone falls backwards. Daniels follows and throws some more strikes and Malone is unable to defend himself and the referee dives in and stops the fight, giving the win to Daniels by TKO at 0:59 in the second round.

All around I was pretty happy with the event and I hope everyone else was as well. I can’t wait for our next event and I hope it gets better and better as do our fighters. See you all next Saturday for the Slaughterfest. Goodnight!
