 THROWDOWN 12 PREVIEW

Throwdown 12 is a big one. But this preview will be a quick one. Just as my Evil Empire connections allowed me to let Skeletor write the preview/review of Throwdown 10, I have summoned a panel of evil judges to stab, slash and chomp their predictions. Please welcome Michael Meyers, Jason Voorhees and Jaws. Lets get to it.

205lbs Stann “Muscle Mountain” Stone 22-22 vs “The Fireball Kid” Yama Mama 16-14

Yama Mama just looks better. Stone might be able to land a big shot or sneak a submission on, but he is the clear underdog. Fellas, your predictions?

Michael: Mama by Decision

Jason: Mama by (T)KO

Jaws: Mama by (T)KO

205lbs “The Saint of Killers” Sam Hedes 13-11-1 vs “The President” Buer Eremiel 23-17

This looks like one of those fights that just wont make it to the second round. Both guys have some power and aren't afraid to take a shot here or there. I'd give the slight edge to Eremie.

Michael: Eremie by (T)KO

Jason: Hedes by (T)KO

Jaws: Eremie by (T)KO

265lbs “Obama” Ben Ladin 14-9 vs Taco “The Shadow Assassin” Belle 9-9

This is another fight where a knock out looks imminent. Between them only two fights have ended without a knock out. If it goes to the ground, I've heard Ladin has some good skills. Both of these guys will probably just stand and bang though.

Michael: Ladin by (T)KO

Jason: Ladin by (T)KO

Jaws: Ladin by (T)KO

205lbs Remy Growwoo 20-14 vs Alarcon “The Traitor” Ramirez 17-11-1

This fight is about the knockout striking of Growwoo vs the BJJ of Ramirez. Wrestling will be the real difference in this battle. Either way I think a finish is very likely.

Michael: Growwoo by (T)KO

Jason: Growwoo by Decision

Jaws: Ramirez by Submission

185lbs “Professor Chaos” Leopold Stotch 20-11 vs Mikko Rourke 30-16-1

I like this fight. Possible fight of the night right here. Rourke is a very well rounded fighter who does everything well. Stotch also fits that description, but his striking is a bit better than his opponent. I doubt this ends with a submission, but all possibilities are on the table. Gentlemen?

Michael: Rourke by Decision

Jason: Stotch by Decision

Jaws: Stotch by (T)KO

205lbs “The Rock” Stone Kirby 17-6-1 vs Dave Doom 16-10-1

In this battle of fighters coming off of disappointing showings is yet another solid matchup. Kirby is known for his stellar clinch game. He has won a lot of fights because of it. The well balanced but tough Doom might have some trouble in this one.

Michael: Kirby by (T)KO

Jason: Kirby by (T)KO

Jaws: Kirby by (T)KO

265lbs Dre Parker 19-9-1 vs Ole “Big Iron” Solseng 12-5

Woooo another good one as we're heading towards the championship fights. Two more guys battling with knockout power and the chins to make their opponent's earn it. I main prediction for this one is for a slug fest. And my evil counterparts think...

Michael: Parker by (T)KO

Jason: Parker by (T)KO

Jaws: Solseng by (T)KO

CHAMPIONSHIP

155lbs Roman “Hammer Hands” Yakimyuk 16-7-1 vs Super Hans 24-10

Now for the champions. Yakimyuk is the clear favorite to retain the 155 pound title, but Hans has made a career out of winning as the underdog. Yakimyuk is a striker who gets most of his wins by knock out, but Hans has never been knocked out. Something has to give in this one.

Michael: Yakimyuk by Decision

Jason: Hans by Submission

Jaws: Yakimyuk by Decision

CHAMPIONSHIP

265lbs “Lord of the Seven Towers” Lan Mandragoran 26-10-1 vs Mark Sutter 22-15

The final battle of the night. Mandragoran is on of the best strikers in MMA. His 24 knockouts and 11 fight win streak back that up. All of those fights were TKOs and KOs by the way. Sutter is his own kind of beast as well. His strength is more his wrestling and ground and pound. If he can take the champ down he could shock the world.

Michael: Mandragoran by (T)KO

Jason: Mandragoran by (T)KO

Jaws: Mandragoran by (T)KO

Thanks for reading and enjoy the fights.
