Well I didn’t have a great night going just six and four on my predictions. Honor as a whole and their partner Meet the Future had a great night though. This was one of the highest rated events and it was the best Wednesday Warfare I could remember. This was just one phenomenal event.

Preliminary Bout Number 1- Lightweight Fight (155lbs)

Junior "PittBull" Flores defeats Marek Contofalsky

Well I started off the night with one of my four losses. I had Contofalsky winning this fight in the third round by TKO, but he couldn’t put Flores away. As a matter of fact he couldn’t do much at all against Flores. Marek landed at a low percentage and there where only a few strikes that landed. Flores hardly landed anything as well but he did land a little more and did more damage. Flores did get cut a little bit in the third round but it was nothing serious. He still took the third round as he landed more and was the more aggressive fighter. Junior coasted to a win in what was a bit of a boring fight as he won all three rounds on all three judges score card. The official decision is Junior Flores win by unanimous decision.

Preliminary Bout Number 2- Bantamweight Fight (135lbs)

Rusaka "Baraka" Gono defeats Steven "Hecklly" Heck

I thought this was going all the way to the final bell and I couldn’t be more wrong. This fight lasted only twenty one seconds as Gono completely dominated the bout. Heck didn’t even get a chance to do anything at all in this one. Gono opened the fight up with a takedown and then followed it up with a punch. Right after landing the punch Gono went for an armbar and he easily locked it in. Steven Heck was forced to tap out at 0:21 of the 1st round.

Preliminary Bout Number 3- Lightweight Fight (155lbs)

Oscralo "Granalo" De Santiuya defeats Darek "The Polish Prodigy" Walczak

Walczak opened up the fight using his weight and size advantage just as I thought he would. He was able to lock up a clinch and he started taking care of business. Oscralo was trying to get the fight to the ground but Walczak was able to keep the fight standing while landing plenty of knees. De Santiuya was able to finally get the fight to the ground and the complexity of the fight changed. Darek was now on the defensive and Oscralo was just looking for a submissions. He tried everything and he was finally able to lock in an armbar at 4:42 of the 1st round.

Preliminary Bout Number 4- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Rickson Bravo defeats Ian "Bronx" Boxhorn

This took a lot longer than I thought it would. Bravo dominated the first round standing up and on the ground and Ian didn’t seem to be in the same league as Bravo. I was shocked once the fight got to the ground that my first round finish prediction did not come true. The second round was much of the same as Rickson took control. Boxhorn did a much better job in the second round but it was still all Bravo as Rickson was able to get the fight to the ground. Once on the ground we got to see more submission attempts from Bravo and an armbar finished Boxhorn off at 4:34 of the 2nd round.

Preliminary Bout Number 5- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

"Dangerous" Phillip Finnegan defeats Investitor "Cujo" Gradnje

I wanted to pick Gradnje so bad in this fight as I am a huge fan of his. I did the smart thing though and I didn’t go with who I wanted but instead I went with the fighter that I thought would win. Boy it didn’t take long to show me that I was correct. Gradnje attempted a few takedowns but all of them were dispatched by Finnegan. Finnegan landed several punches and kicks while changing levels often. With Finnegans power added to the mixing up of his strikes lead to two knockdowns before the massive head kick dropped Gradnje for good. Finnegan wins by TKO via head kick at 1:34 of the 1st round.

Main Card Bout Number 1- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

"The Impaler" Vladimir Ignatov defeats Bobby "The Next Big Thing" Shamrock

Wow I don’t even know what to say about this fight. I picked Shamrock to win the fight and it was almost like there was no fight at all. Shamrock landed only three strikes out of almost fifty attempts. The other warrior in the cage Vladimir Ignatov was able to mix his strikes well and he landed at a very high percentage. It was a great mix of power shots and set up punches which lead Shamrock to being off balanced and he was not able to dodge anything or land anything. After what was almost a snuff film Ignatov was able to end the fight with strikes earning a TKO at 4:42 of the 2nd round.

Main Card Bout Number 2- Bantamweight Fight (135lbs)

Takeshi Watanabe defeats bj "Boogieman" Ferguson

Watanabe wanted revenge and that is exactly what he got. Ferguson won the first fight against Watanabe in what was a huge upset in my opinion. This fight was completely different as Ferguson was only able to try one failed takedowns as he ate a few punches. Watanabe only landed four punches in the fight and it was enough to put Ferguson out and Watanabe was declared the winner at 0:18 of the 1st round by way of TKO do to strikes.

Main Card Bout Number 3- Bantamweight Fight (135lbs)

"Nobushi" Mitsuyo Maeda defeats "The Magician" Ari Birmiski

I had the method correct but I got the fighter wrong in this three round fight that lasted until the final bell. I had Ari Birmiski picked to win and he won the first round as he was more impressive on the ground. Maeda was able to get some work in but Ari did a bulk of the striking and he was able to win the first round. The second round was spent mainly on the ground as well, but this time it was Maeda who dominated the bout. Going into the third and final round we were at a stale mate and everyone knew the fight was going to the mat. Maeda was the more aggressive striker in the third round from the ground but two late submission attempts showed everyone that Ari was still in this fight. The third round really could have went both ways but Maeda was given the final round on all of the judges score cards as he was declared the winner by unanimous decision with all three judges scoring the fight 29-28.

Co Main Event Main Card Bout Number 4- Lightweight Fight (155lbs)

"Mr. GO TO SLEEP" Tyler Brooks defeats Vinnie "Danger Zone" Jones

This was a great fight even though it didn’t get out of the first round. Jones scored the early takedown and went to work on Brooks as he was striking and looking for submissions. Brooks was able to transition into a better position and then he started landing some leather and then he pounced on a loose arm and he was able to secure an armbar. Jones was forced to submit from the lock at 3:21 of the 1st round.

Main Event Main Card Bout Number 5- Bantamweight Fight (135lbs)

Tyrion "The Imp" Lannister defeats "Lord High Executioner" Albert Anastasia

Before I get to deep into this fight I would like to remind everyone that Albert Anastasia has had two fights in less than a week as he really stepped up. He lost on Saturday and I had a feeling he was going to lose this one and unfortunately for him I was correct. If there is a good point to focus on A doubled was able to take this fight to the final bell. Even though Double A did not get finished that doesn’t mean he looked good. Lannister did not just win every round he dominated every round and it appeared he would finish LHE in every round. LHE did show his heart though as he was able to pull the fight back to a standing position several times, but it was not enough in any round to even get close to a win. All three judges score the fight 30-27 as Tyrion won the fight by unanimous decision.

Well with the last two events that Mr. Monk was able to put on we know we are heading in the right direction. Also Dan was able to bring HFC into the RISSA network and I heard we will be doing some events with Forbidden Violence know which will lead to a whole new list of challenges that everyone including the fans should get excited for. I will see you later today to take a look at the next HFC event.
