Author:Tony Rossi

We have a great night of fights lined up for all of you this evening. Our bantamweight tournament is starting and one of my favorites Abraham Kurse is also on the card. Mango is still our event partner for now and we will have to see how things play out over the next few weeks to see if that remains. Until then be sure to grab all of your nutrition needs from Mango! With that being said for those of you who like to gamble at Barbarian Betting you can bet on all the Barbarian events as well as the Honor FC events and the UFC events. Please get over to Barbarian Betting and start laying down your bets.

Preliminary Bout Number 1- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Seymour Til Alexandros The Seventeenth (0-0) {0-0} versus Diego Fenandes (0-2) {0-2}

Amexandros the XVII will be making his pro debut. He has a strong wrestling base and he has been working on his stand up. I think he will be looking to do some ground and pound in this one. Fenandes is o and two and he took both of his losses here in Barbarian Fight Club. I think he is just fodder in this one, but if he could keep it standing he will have a chance to win this fight. I got Seymour Til Alexandros The Seventeenth winning this by TKO in the second round via ground and pound.

Preliminary Bout Number 2- Heavyweight Fight (265lbs)

Yoko "Jelly" Zuna (3-1) {3-1} versus Tyler "Cinder" Blok (1-0) {1-0}

Normally I would have Zuna picked in this fight all the way. He is three and one and is coming off the one loss in his career. Tim Thedford was the first person able to beat him and he should be looking to get back on track. His management team dropped him earlier this week and that could play in on his confidence and game planning. Blok is a better stand up fighter and he does have a wrestling base and that’s why I would have normally not picked him. I think he will be able to keep the fight standing a little more with what could be gouing threw Zuna’s head. I got Blok to steel this one by decision.

Preliminary Bout Number 3- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Jared Gracie (5-4) {0-4} versus Lance "White Dragon" Milliwan (1-2) {0-2}

It’s the return of Jared Gracie. He has lost all four of his fights here in Barbarian Fight Club which has lowered his record to five wins and four losses. He will want to rebound from this string of losses by getting Milliwan to the ground. He will need to stay aggressive against Milliwan though since Lance has a bit better Jiu Jitsu. Milliwan could win the fight on the ground but I think Gracie is better suited for that. If Lance Milliwan wants to break his two fight losing streak, all of which happened in Barbarian much like his opponent, he will want to keep it standing. He is far better striker than Gracie so it would make since. I think Gracie finally gets off the losing streak with a second round submission victory.

Preliminary Bout Number 4- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Alex Savio Sanchez (1-0) {0-0} versus Matt "The Immortal " Brown (2-0) {2-0}

Sanchez will be making his Barbarian Fight Club debut in this one. He is coming here with a one and o record and which he won via submission. The twenty five year old brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu will need to get this fight to the ground if he wants any chance to win. Brown is two and o and all of his fights have come in BFC. He is starting to climb his way on to the main card and a big win in this one could do it.  This nineteen year old has enough ground game to defend himself and he has a great boxing base. I think this fight comes down to speed and I am going to just guess Brown is a bit faster and thus I am predicting him to win the fight. The best guess I  can come up with would be a round two TKO.

Preliminary Bout Number 5- Lightweight Fight (155lbs)

Roro Rorowski (4-2) {0-1} versus Kores "Mibon" Sierra (8-4) {3-3}

Rorowski is four and two and he lost his one and only fight here in Barbarian. It came in a decision loss I think Rorowski just allowed to get away. He will need to keep this fight standing for just a bit to knockout Sierra so he should have been working on his takedown defense. Sierra either struggles with the top of the division, or against great strikers. We will find out the answer in this one as he will take on a great striker but certainly not yet in the league of the top fighters. If he can get this fight to the ground before taking a knee, punch, or kick to the head and going down for the night he should be able to get a quick win. I don’t think that will happen and I am picking Rorowski to win this fight by knockout in the late part of round number one.

Main Card Bout Number 1- Bantamweight Title Tournament Fight (135lbs)

Carlos "Ocelote" Rodriguez (5-0) {4-0} versus Gabriel "DaBeast" Douglas (4-2-1) {0-0}

Rodriguez has been nothing short of out of this world since he started his pro career. He is currently five and o with all five wins coming by TKO and only one of them escaping the first round. All of his fights have been exciting but this could be his toughest challenge yet. If he is to aggressive he could get countered at a high rate and if he is not aggressive enough he might not be able to get the finish. Douglas is four two and one in his career and he has not won a fight in a while. This doesn’t sound to impressive but I am here to tell you Douglas is the real deal. I also cover Honor Fighting Championship in Las Vegas where Gabriel fought before and I assure he is a good fighter. He is under new management so maybe they can fix his ability to not be able to finish a fight which is his only downfall I see. He does know how to point strike so he can easily win a decision. I think Rodriguez has the power to knock out Gabriel Douglas and that’s what I am picking in the second round, but Douglas could win this fight.

Main Card Bout Number 2- Lightweight Fight (155lbs)

Ole "Bad Seed" NKone (3-0) {1-0} versus Dan "Fist" Dimont (2-0) {1-0}

Nkone is three and o and he made his first impression on us by winning his BFC debut with a first round TKO. He has good wrestling and boxing so his obvious option in this one would be to keep the fight standing. He will out gun Dimont striking and he should have enough wrestling to keep this fight standing. For the two and o Dimont its obvious he will need to get an early takedown. He has a great wrestling base and he holds a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Both of his wins came via ground and pound and he loves to take fights there. I don’t think he gets this fight to the ground so I got Nkone to win by TKO in the first round.

Main Card Bout Number 3- Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Andokuhle "Pumba" Congo (4-1) {3-1} versus Spanish "Fried" Rice (3-0) {0-0}

Congo returned to dominance in his last fight rebounding well from his only loss which came at the hands of the champ Christopher Newton. He got a first round knockout via the clinch while he executed his game plan to perfection. He will want to hook it up in this fight as well and really test Rice’s chin. Rice just celebrated his twenty sixth birthday bit I don’t think he will do much celebrating after tonight. He is a striker going up against a clinch fighter who is incredibly strong. His only chance is going to be to pull guard and try to swing on top from the ground. I think this is a bad match up for Rice so I got Congo winning this fight in the first round via TKO do to strikes from the clinch.

Co Main Event Main Card Bout Number 4- Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

Ryan Conner (5-0) {1-0} versus Abraham Kurse (5-2) {5-1}

Conner is undefeated and he has all five of his wins by TKO. He loves to stand and strike and he has good wrestling which aids him in keep the fight standing. If he can keep Kurse from taking him down I think he could dispose of him quickly. Kurse is not going to settle for the fight not going to the ground. He is a beast of a wrestler and he holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He will look for any opening to takedown Conner and then it will be game over as he should be able to lock in a submission with ease. I got Kurse winning this fight in the first round via submission.

Main Event Main Card Bout Number 5- Bantamweight Title Tournament Fight (135lbs)

Bruno Da Gaucho (11-1) {2-0} versus Pirulito "Manjarola" Bate Bate (6-0) {0-0}

This is the final matchup of the Bantamweight Title Tournament. We have the eleven and one Bruno Da Gaucho who will be looking to get this fight to the mat coming out of the red corner. He has been working on his boxing for those times where you just can’t seem to land a takedown but it is nothing that is threatening. Out of the blue corner it is undefeated six and o Pirulito Bate Bate who will be happy if the fight goes to the ground. He has two of his six wins by submission but his other four have come by TKO. He can stand and fight which is what I think he should do, but he is equipped to defend himself or even win from the ground. It is a tough call but I am going to pick Gaucho to move on in this tournament via second round submission.

There is certainly a lot of tough picks on who will win these fights. This was a top notch booking job by Pedro and I am excited to see what happens. I will see you next time.
