Q: Dear martial arts fans, it’s been a while but I’m back for another interview with Tom Quin. The 20  year old prospect from Holland who's already fought once for the 145 title. Tom, you lost your first title fight, was it a dissapointing loss?

A: Absolutely, I got dominated and it was very frustrating for me. But don't worry, I will learn from my mistakes and I will get that belt someday.

Q: Tom, after losing in the title fight you needed a win to get back in title contention. Your next fight was against submission specialist Fransino Tirta who had long reigned at the top of the division. Were you anxious to get back in the ring or maybe scared of such a strong opponent?

A: I definitely felt the pressure going in that fight. Not only that but when the fight started I didn't expect Tirta to be so aggressive and I was caught by surprise. He dominated the first round but I came back with a vengeance, landed a beatiful combination and that's all she wrote. The ref stopped the fight and I got the win I needed.
