Mac McNulty vs Jeice Retso

On May 17th, WOLFPACK FC will have it's first champion. WPFC standouts Mac McNulty and  Jeice Resto go toe to toe to see who will be the the head of  the pac. Leading up to this fight, we have had words with both fighters and this is what they had to say.

Jeice Retso's Interview

Interviewer: How do you feel about Mac McNulty skill wise, how do you see yourself matching up with him?

Retso: McNulty has shown that he does have slick takedown defense in the past, and even when Jokinen took him down in their second fight, McNulty was quick to attain full guard and sweep his way into a dominant position. Other than that, no one has been able to show any sign of controlling him, but I do hope to try.

Interviewer: McNulty said he was going to eat you for breakfast, any comment?

Retso: But our fight isn't until the evening.. Eh? Nevermind, no comment...

Interviewer: Do you respect McNulty or have any dislike for him? What do you think of him skill wise?

Retso: I have nothing but respect for him. He always tries to finish, and has some slick GnP. Lacks a bit in the Jiu Jitsu game though, but that is alright.

Interviewer:How do you see the fight going?

Retso: Either he finds a way to keep it on the feet and runs away a lot, or I get him down and he will see how the ground game really works. He will tire, and he will give up.

Interviewer: Any thoughts on the WPFC 155 division?

Retso: Hey, there are a lot of exciting fighters, a bunch of wild men truly. Though that doesn't always translate to skill, they are exciting for the fans so keep it up.

Interviewer: Any last words?

Retso: Nope, I have to get out of here and get back to rolling on the mat with some friends and get back in the gym. I'm still underweight and have to try and pack on some more pounds.

Out of here, God's Speed!

Mac McNulty's Interview
Interviewer: So Mac McNulty what are thoughts on you opponent Jeice Retso skill wise?

McNulty: Retso's a wrestler, and a good one, but he lacks the complete game he's gonna need to deal with me.  I train hard everyday to be the best MMA fighter I can be, and he's gonna find out how good that is on May 17th when he watches me put that LW title belt on - if he can still see out of his swollen eyes that is.

Interviewer: Do you feel like you can hang with him on the ground?

McNulty: This fight is gonna go to the ground - all fights do - I can hang with him anywhere this fight goes.  I'm bigger, stronger, faster, and meaner than he is.

Interviewer:Do you feel you can put Retso away?

McNulty: Without a doubt.  This fight isn't going the distance and I'm not leaving this in the hands of the judges.  Once I get on top of this dude, he's not getting up until the ref pulls me off.

Interviewer: Do you respect Retso or have any dislike towards him?

McNulty:  I respect Retso, at least as much as any other fighter - He's dangerous - anyone willing to step in the cage as a warrior has my respect.  He's not gonna catch me sleeping or looking forward to the next fight.  My focus is entirely on May 17th and winning this title.  I don't dislike him, he's just standing in between me and my goal, and he's soon to find out what a dangerous place that is to be.

Interviewer: Any words for the 155 division?

McNulty:  Wolfpack -  I know you're gunning for me - I know what that title belt means - It's a target and everyone in the division is going to be looking to come after me.  Good luck;  you better train hard cause I will be.

Interviewer: Any last words?

McNulty:  Thanks to my sponsor North clothing in Helsinki, Thanks to KW for setting up this fight and giving me the opportunity to fight for Wolfpack's first title. See you on May 17.

Tommy Gunn's Interview

Interviewer:  Do you feel Ernie Bozoink's KO power is a threat?

Gunn: No.He might be able to KO other bums but my chin is solid. He has never faced anyone like me. He will find out at the fight that I am the next champ.

Interviewer: Do you respect Bozoink or have any dislike toward him?

Gunn: He is a bum. He has never earned any respect so why should I respect him? I hope you didn't contract him for more than 1 fight because that is all anyone will want to see.

Gunn: The fight will end with Bozoink drooling on the canvas and me fist pumping on top of the cage. I'm coming for you Bozoink!
