Hey HONOR FC fans, Calvin here. We had some great fights last night and I’m really excited to talk about them, even though my boy West didn’t do too well. Unfortunately I’m really short on time and I’m just going to have to hop straight into the tape to talk about the event, so here we go!

Preliminary Bout Number 1 – Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

“Mr. T” Oscralo De Santiuya DEFEATS Toby “The Duke” Fluke

Well, there’s not a whole lot to say here. The fight stats pretty much show what happened. De Santiuya absolutely demolished Fluke in every aspect. He stuffed 29 takedowns and the times he did get taken down, he was able fight off Flukes attacks without any problem. Around 1:00 into the first round, De Santiuya lands a combo that rocks Fluke. After stuffing another takedown attempt De Santiuya comes in and throws a huge right hand that levels Fluke and he dives down to get a few more punches in before the ref stops the fight.

Preliminary Bout Number 2 – Lightweight Fight (155lbs)

Julius Caesar DEFEATS Junior “PittBull” Flores

This one pretty much went how I expected it. Caesar dominated Flores everywhere this fight went. He couldn’t land a single strike standing up and couldn’t defend much of Caesar’s onslaught on the ground. Caesar landed a knockdown early in the second round, got on top of Flores and starting swinging for the hills. He eventually tries a sub attempt and after that fails he takes advantage of Flores being defenseless and throws a big right hand that knocks Flores out cold, earning the victory via KO.

Preliminary Bout Number 3 - Featherweight Fight (145lbs)

“Pretty Pete” Peter Parker DEFEATS Jonathan “The Cheetah” Mvungi

Ouch, Parker was set on shutting me up here. I didn’t think he had the power or skills to handle Mvungi, but he reassured me on how clueless I really am. Parker showed amazing agility, speed and overall striking skills tonight. He landed some a high percentage of his strikes and managed to avoid 75% of his opponents. At 3:00 in the first round, Parker ducks down to his left and lands a huge uppercut followed by a head kick that sends Mvungi to the floor and finishes the fight with some strikes from the mount that force the referee to stop the fight.

Preliminary Bout Number 4 – Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Rickson Bravo DEFEATS Dario “All-in” Sakara

This was definitely a hard one to predict but I had a hunch on Bravo and it did not fail me. This was definitely a ground war as expected. I think the key to Bravo’s victory was the ground strikes he threw that opened Sakara up and forced him to defend from all angles and eventually allowed Bravo to drop back and slip in an unexpected kneebar. Bravo gets the submission victory at 1:40 in the third round in what was a very exciting fight, especially since most of it was on the ground.

Preliminary Bout Number 5 – Bantamweight Fight (135lbs)

Eduardo Kuekuatsu” Alvarez DEFEATS Takeshi Watanabe

I feel like these fights are a lot easier to predict than what I’m used to, but maybe I’m just getting lucky. Alvarez had no problem taking out Watanabe tonight. He landed everything he wanted to at will, from takedowns to ground and poundhe timed his attacks perfectly. There’s not much else to say, Alvarez took him early, beat him up, advanced his position and put him to sleep with a triangle. Perfect fight for Alvarez.

Main Card Bout Number 1 – Lightweight Fight (155lbs)

“Flash” Gordon Lefleaur DEFEATS Mac Hansen

Despite not knowing these guys too well I think I called this one pretty nicely. Hansen’s goal was to try and get this fight to the ground where had a better chance to win. Lefleaur showed outstanding takedown defense, stuffing all fifteen of Hansen’s attempts to take this to the ground. He easily out-struck Hansen part of which may have been due to all the lost energy from the failed takedown attempts. In the third round Lefleaur was able to rock Hansen and even get a knockdown. However, Hansen showed tremendous hard and wouldn’t allow Lefleaur to finish the fight and he stuck in there until the final bell. Lefleaur didn’t get the victory but he was clearly the better fighter and earned the judge’s decision.

Main Card Bout Number 2 – Middleweight Fight (185lbs)

K The “THE GREAT” Rad DEFEATS Kshitij Singh Negi

I would first like to say thank you to K Rad for shutting down Negi tonight. He was able to do exactly what he needed to and keep this fight out of the clinch as much as possible. Actually, even when he was in the clinch with Negi he was able to defend against a lot of his attacks. He was much more aggressive tonight, that combined with his clinch defense earned him the victory via judge’s decision.

Main Card Bout Number 3 – Middleweight Title Fight (185lbs)

Arshnoor “THE BRUTALIZER” Singh DEFEATS “The Wasp” Wayde West

This was an unfortunate fight for me, but it went as I expected it to. Singh dominated West the entire fight and pretty much sent West back to the drawing board. He landed over 80% of his strikes he outclassed easily outclassed West and showed how superior his striking defense was. At 3:30 in the first round Singh throws a huge head kick that West misinterpreted and tried to block low, the kick landed flush to the head and put West to sleep.

Co Main Event – Light Heavyweight Fight (205bs)

“THE ANNIHILATOR” Jack Turnbull DEFEATS Jules Winnfield

This was an absolutely amazing fight and probably the fight of the night. Winnfield and Turnbull went at it all three rounds, beating this shit out of each other and putting on great show for the fans, who were very happy to express their pleasure with screams and applause. Turnbull dominated the first two rounds but Winnfield was coming back in the third and showed his heart and determination. At the very end of the fight Winnfield managed to score a knockdown, unfortunately the bell rang immediately after and he wasn’t able to finish it and ended up losing due to the first two rounds. Think he could have taken this had he had one more minuted? Let us know your thoughts!

Main Event - Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

“El Martillo” Unai Arana DEFEATS “Rasta” Ziggy Cliff

Well this fight didn’t quite go as I expected but it was still a great fight. Arana was the more active and accurate fighter throughout this entire fight and was able to take it to Cliff wherever the fight went. Despite all this he wasn’t able to get a knockdown or finish the fight, but he did earn the judge’s decision. In his Post-fight interview, Cliff blamed this on him not getting enough rest… but nobody gives a shit, professionalism is a huge part of this lifestyle. Get with the program man!

Well that was a pretty awesome Wednesday night in my eyes, the main events were absolutely awesome and all the fighters came out to put on a show. I hope you’ve all enjoyed it and it’s been an honor writing for… HONOR? Hah, my jokes are awesome aren’t they? Well I’ll see you guys next time, which may or may not be Saturday’s event. I’ll have to see if I can sneak away from the wife for a bit. Later guys!
