Welcome back HONOR fans. We had very exciting event and I once again got all of my predictions correct, which is awesome. Even if they aren’t exactly the way I wanted them to go. I’m super short on time so let’s take a quick look at what went down.

Preliminary Bout Number 1 – Bantamweight Fight (135lbs)

Bj “Booieman” Ferguson Defeats Rusaka “Baraka” Gono

As soon as the fight started, Gono threw out combos like nobody’s business, which ultimately led to his defeats. His early, failed combinations left him vulnerable to a takedown and from there Ferguson was able to man handle him and land with some great ground and pound until the ref was forced in to stop the fight. Bj Ferguson via TKO at 2:55 of round 1.

Preliminary Bout Number 2 – Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Darc “The Wild One” Von Hayek Defeats “Mr. T” Oscralo De Santiuya

As I expected, De Santiuya has no standup game and did everything he could to try and get this fight to the ground but he was unable to get the job done. Von Hayek landed with some solid strikes and eventually landed a clean head kick that Dropped De Santiuya and the ref immediately jumps in to stop him from taking any more unnecessary damage, great job ref! Von Hayek via TKO at 1:50 of round 1.

Preliminary Bout Number 3 – Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Oberyn “Steel” Martell Defeats Jean Descharme

Yeap, I knew Martell had something in mind for Descharme. He wasn’t happy about the decision loss last time out and he prepared well for this one. Descharme came out very confident and aggressive and that turned out to be a bad idea as Martell showed great striking defense and was able to avoid a majority of the shots thrown at him and connect with some pretty outstanding accuracy. He dominated the first round and once the second round came around, he did the same thing and avoided strikes until he took the fight into the clinch and was able to get to work and do some damage. A little after the 2 minute mark, Descharme breaks the clinch and Martell lands a huge head kick that almost knocks Descharme out cold and he follows up with some more strikes to get the TKO. Oberyn Martell via TKO at 2:29 of round 2.

Preliminary Bout Number 4 – Welterweight Fight (170lbs)

Dack Fayden Defeats Alex “Almighty” Irwin

This one pretty much went as expected, although Irwin managed to keep the fight standing longer than expected. Even so, he wasn’t able to land much. Around the 3 minute mark, in the clinch, Fayden was able to get his takedown and land in side control. Irwin avoided a few early strikes but after a minute of carrying Fayden’s weight, Fayden was able to get a hold of Irwin’s arm and lock in a Kimura. Dack Fayden via submission at 4:20 of round 1. Victory bowl anyone?

Main Card Bout Number 1 – Light Heavyweight Fight (205lbs)

K The “THE GREAT” Rad Defeats Al “KO” Hallick

Well this was definitely a great fight, tons of action all three rounds. Rad dominated this fight though, Hallick landed some good shots but he missed so many, Rad showed phenomenal striking defense avoiding over 50% of Hallicks strikes. In round three Rad lands with a nice hook that knocks Hallick down and Rad allows him back to his feet. After missing with a head kick, Rad catches him with another hook that sends him to the floor again, this time he follows up with some strikes and the fight is all over. K The Rad via TKO at 0:57 of round 3.

Main Card Bout Number 2 – Bantamweight Fight (135lbs)

Michal Kucharski Defeats Takeshi Watanabe

Yeap. Kucharski immediately got this fight to the ground and started working with submission attempts, and preventing Watanabe’s attempts to get into a better position. Watanabe defended against the black belt surprisingly well but was eventually caught with a kneebar. Kucharski via submission at 1:28 of round 1.

Main Card Bout Number 3 – Middleweight Fight (185lbs)

Augustus “DEADSHOT” Belmont Defeats Kaito “Tsunami” Rin

Belmont obliterated Rin in this fight. He landed 85% of his strikes and prevented Rin from landing anything, literally, Rin landed nothing. Around the 1 minute mark, Belmont lands an overhand right that rocks Rin and Belmont throws a huge right cross that connects right with his opponents jaw and the fight is over. Augustus Belmont via KO at 1:38 of round 1.

Co Main Event – Light Heavyweight Fight (205bs)

“THE ANNIHILATOR” Jack Turnbull Defeats Rik Spahn

Well, I imagined this would be a great fight, but it was really just a huge ass whooping. Turnbull had no problem beating Spahn as he stuffed all 9 of his takedown attempts and landed almost every strike with incredible precision. Just before the 3 minute mark, Turnbull lands a big right hand that scores him a knockdown. Spahn is able to quickly get to his feet but he’s still really wobbly. He shoots for a takedown to protect himself but has no luck getting it. Turnbull scores with a leg kick and then lands a huge left hand and follows up with more strikes and the fight is all over. Jack Turnbull via TKO at 3:15 of round 1.

Main Event - Middleweight Title Fight (185lbs)

Arshnoor “THE BRUTALIZER” Singh Defeats Bilbo “The Brazilian Butch” Baggins

Not the greatest fight in the world as the outcome was pretty much decided as soon as the matchup was picked. Baggins did his job and immediately scores a takedown. He grabs a leg and drops down for an ankle lock but Singh defends well and manages to escape and get himself into Baggins’ guard. Baggins throws his legs up and after a triangle that was well defended, Baggins uses a fairly standard, triangle to armbar switch and Singh gets caught and is forced to tap out and Bilbo Baggins is the new, middleweight champion! Bilbo Baggins via submission at 0:55 of round 1.

Well despite only have 9 fights we had a great event and nothing was left to the judge’s. Thank you HONOR fans as always for joining us and don’t forget to check out Saturday’s event where Bruce Gracie will be defending the Featherweight title.
