This week at Blackwater New fight center = great fights ...
After the recent opening of our flagship scientific fight training facility The Wasps Nest ( 2341) fighters have started getting comfortable with their training and scientific approach the wasps nest contributes to the fighters skills. We have had several fighters fly a distance just to be apart of our training center.
A brief statement by Blackwaters Jason de Rothschild - “ We are having a good time here at our new home - The Wasps Nest, the guys are are into training hard and approaching their fights with our special methods ” - “ we would also like to give a lot of thanks to Lyle Humphreys (33988) who help us in this venture, Thanks Lyle”.
Aside from the successful opening, the gym has also added an elite coach to train the fighters to reach their full potentials. Great news from the people of Blackwater & The Wasps Nest ( 2341 ).
The week also had a floury of wonderful fights, beginning with the baptism of BJJ specialist Vicente Ribeiro ( 178928 ) against excellent wrestler Reinaldo V. P. Da Silva ( 178914 ).
The fight started with Ribeiro attempting a take down but Da Silva great wrestling took over and he was able to elude the other. Da Silva managed to throw in some of his striking to slow down Ribeiro which made the BJJ fighters game slowly decline. The entire fight continued on in this way with Ribeiro pursuing with takedown attempts and Da Silva using his striking and wrestling just barely getting out of the way and managing to issue some surgical striking that through the fight frustrated Ribeiro. The fight ended after 3 rounds with a unanimous decision for you guest it Da Silva.
Not to put down Ribeiro who went on full blast and have a blitz of ( 35 ) takedown attempts. Thats crazy !!! Even crazier that Da Silva managed to deflect that amazing numbers. WOW !!!!! After the fight we managed to talk to Ribeiro and he had this to say. - “ it was very, very, eye opening for me, i thought i would be able to easily take him but he had really good wrestling and it showed ”. “ i, but i learned a lot, im really bumbed but its going to make me better, thats forsure”. “ also want to thank UFG (3147), Ring Wars fight ORG. for supporting me, thanks” . Clearly the kid had a wake up call coming from the Brazilian royal family of BJJ and getting this reception is a learning experience.

The next fight of the week featured a lightweight clash between Alexander Medina ( 178916 ) and Bradley Thomas ( 178658 ) expert striker.
The cage was intense as the two fighters began their clash. Medina had the look of a lion ready to destroy anything in its path. AWESOME !!!!!
The bell rings and here we go !!! Thomas tries a single leg but Medina shrugs and escapes smiling. Medina tries two take downs and lands in guard, but Thomas finds his way to his feet, to be taken down again by Medina followed by a kimura attempt. thomas slips and frees himself but walks into a guillotine which he escapes and again gets himself in Medina’s kimura, this kid has great submissions !!! Thomas works to free himself again from Medina’s clutches but, WOW it was a set up for a great arm triangle by Medina, Its vise grip tight and Thomas is in deep trouble. “anytime now the ref ”. “ stop this before some one really gets hurt ”, THERES the Tap by Thomas and not a second to soon or he would have been done. WOW !!!
So in the 1st round in the 2:56 min. Alexander Medina relentless with his submissions get the win via (arm triangle) - Congrats Alex !!!!

In the final fight of the week between Jean Michel Burez ( 178919 ) vs. Souleyman Doumbia ( 179328 ) BJJ expert. The story unfolds with a takedown by Burez. Doumbia works from the bottom trying a kimura, but to not. Burez work his BJJ and some G&P landing with a massive elbow to Doumbia’s face. followed by four submissions and finally Doumbia some sort of escape and a submission. The first round was a display of Burez’ great BJJ submissions from americanas to kimuras, arm triangles and so on.

The second round begins BOOOM !!! Burez executes a proper counters take down and slams Doumbia on the mat. Doumbia works from his back but Burez shrugs 3 submission attempts. The fight goes on with Burez serving a mixture of G&P sandwiches and BJJ milk shakes, truly a class act on Burez. Burez gives a numerous amount of submission relentlessly. Doumbia has got to be tires at this bombing by Burez as the round ends. Two rounds for Burez.
Round 3 and the crowd gets on their feet as the two fighters get at it Doumbia gets Burez in a kneebar and the crowd goes crazy !!! Burez escapes and stands up but like a lightning bolt Burez get a double leg take down sending Doumbia to his back with a slam !!! Doumbia escapes and using his BJJ skills tries 3 submission stepping it up FINALLY he is a BROWN BELT BJJ as we all know. Burez as soon as he could also gets his take down and issue a kimura, guillotine, and another kimura, but not without counter submissions from the later.
Again Burez easily takes the BJJ brownie down and attempts some G&P plus a kimura. Doumbia trying to work from the bottom but really Burez has more skill that needs to be taken seriously.
The round ends, and the crowd loving it goes crazy !!! And as we all knew Jean Michel Burez takes the win easily. He just out worked him in every aspect of the fight. This is a phenom !!! So via unanimous decision blah, blah, blah, we all know Burez wins !!!!
This Blackwater/Wasps nest crew, they’re really making waves and stay tuned folks cause i think we will be hear more from this group....
