Light Heavyweight Championship
(Champ) Davide Dileo vs. (4.) Zero Hero
Fresh DFC Light Heavyweight champion Davide "Boosto" Dileo is returning to action following his interim title fight where he won the title via decision after 5 round war against Jimmy Dias Jimenez. Now Dileo is defending his belt for the first time against DFC new comer Zero Hero. These two are very evenly matched so this should be awesome scrap, however if we dive in to the details Dileo might have slight edge in muay thai and wrestling, but Hero has stronger boxing. Both of them are BJJ purple belt, but neither of them have any submission wins in their record so its hard to say who is superior BJJ artist.
Dileo was very fired up in pre-fight interview:
"After 7 fights, i'm still waiting for someone to give me a challenge and a tough, contested fight... Hero looks like someone who can do that, so I just hope that he'll give me a real fight, unlike the 7 pussises i've beat up before"
Zero "2" Hero is making his DFC debut in the highest possible level as he gets his hands straight to the champion. 23-year old Canadian has been fighting in 2 different organizations before Destiny FC, but never fought for title there so this is officially his first title fight in his career. Hero has 8-4 record in MMA and 7 of his 8 wins have come via KO/TKO and once he earned the W via judges scorecards. Hero will be 5cm shorter than the champion and Dileo is also physically bigger fighter and cuts alot more weight than Hero, so if Hero can drag this fight to later rounds maybe he can take advantage for being the lighter fighter.
Lightweight
(3.) Will Genia vs. (6.) Moritsune Musashi
In the co-event we are looking for the next challenger for the lightweight title. DFC veteran and former champion Will Genia is one step away to get his hands to the belt he lost at Destiny 50. Genia is coming from first round TKO win against Sean Juan at Destiny Tuesday 2. As we know Afa Sila got his title back from Jimmy Belingon in latest lightweight title fight. Will Genia in other hand actually beat Afa Sila twice when he became champion the first time around so if Genia can win this saturday he would face the champion who he has already beat twice and thats sounds like a golden road to Genia to get back to belt. In this fight versus Musashi, Genia is big favourite but if Musashi gets the fight in the ground this could turn out really bad for Genia.
Undefeated Moritsune "Shinobi" Musashi has been ultra impressive so far in his DFC journey. Musashi has fought 3 times inside the organization and he has tapped out every opponent he has faced so far. His latest win came against Bryan Lester at Destiny 57. Even tho Musashi has 3 wins in DFC, the fight against Genia will be big step up in competition. Musashi is really known for his black belt level BJJ and he really needs to get this fight to the ground because Will Genia is much more complete fighter than Musashi. Genia is 6cm taller so getting inside for takedown wont be easy task to Musashi, but take a close look if this fight goes to the ground because Musashi is really dangerous beast in there.
