Featherweight Championship

(Champ) Edward Scissorhands vs.  (6.) Masa Mune

DFC Featherweight champion Edward Scissorhands will defend his belt for the first time this saturday after claiming it in vacant title fight against Felicito Vicente at Destiny 58. Scissorhands was able to grab TKO victory with only 2 seconds left of the round 2. Scissorhands is pretty heavy favourite against Mune, but Mune's 5-1 record in DFC says that he is a real deal. Edward has won 7 of his 8 wins via TKO so the game plan against Mune is probably to put him to sleep. The fight is in home turf of Mune as he lives in Tokyo, but Scissorhands needs to fly long way from home however Scissorhands has done the same multiple times already and adjusting to local time haven't been an issue to him.

Masa Mune is heading to biggest fight of his career this saturday. Just 20-year old turkish Mune has been ultra impressive in DFC so far. Mune is currently on 2 fight winning streak but has won 7 of his 8 fights. Mune is coming from unanimous decision victory against Yoshido Nakamara and prior that he fought the former champion Frank Benoit at Destiny 54 and tapped Benoit out via strikes. Mune is also won majority of his fights via TKO just like his opponent so its easy to predict that fists will fly in this bout. It's exciting to see what kind of game plan Mune chooses to fight with because on paper Scissorhands is pretty much stronger in all areas of the game. Wrestling is probably only aspect that is even between these two, but there is so many more things that affects the fight so that kind of math just doesnt tell the whole story inside the cage.

Light Heavyweight

(2.) Jorge Domingo vs. (8.) Hiro Sakurai

Jorge Domingo makes his long awaited DFC debut in co-main event. Domingo is coming to organisation with lots of hype around him. Doming is former 2 time Chaos Light Heavyweight champion with 4 title defences and also in Chaos Hall of Fame. Earlier this week Ragnar SvenSoleson rejected the offer to fight for the belt against Davide Dileo so if Domingo wins this fight he might very well be next in line for the title shot. Domingo is known to be wonderful boxer and superb wrestler. Domingo probably wants to keep the fight on the feet because Sakurai has purple belt BJJ and 3 submission under his belt and Domingo probably wants to avoid testing how he rolls with his blue belt BJJ against Sakurai.

Hiro "The Last Daimyo" Sakurai is pretty new face in DFC also as he fight for 2nd time in DFC cage. Sakurai debuted at Destiny 58 against Silberio ZasZas and got TKO victory in very first round of the fight. This young japanese will have 4cm high advantage and that might help him to stay outside of Domingo's dangerous boxing. Sakurai is underdog in this fight, but if he gets the fight to the ground he definately has chance for an upset here and win against Domingo would be huge for his career.
