Hello readers.

After talking to Crissy Teranova last week i decided to take her up on the offer to meet one of her fighters.
Im meeting Eskil "Wolf" Eliasson and i would like to know more about this new fighter and how he looks at himself and his role in MMA.
Marvin - Hello Eskil. The first question i think the readers would like to hear the answer to is. How did you get into MMA?

Eskil - As you understand i got into MMA quite late. Or i feel i did as i started recently and im allready 25. But before this i did Muay Thai and i was at a MMA event and liked what i was watching.
I had a friend that was doing some MMA and i started asking around and got in contact with Crissy Teranova.
She offerd to help me out and here we are.

Marvin - In Vegas, thats nice. I have watched your last fight and you are, as far as i can see, a striker. What is your favourite move?

Eskil - Striker, yea thats fair. But i wont go into telling the world what i like and not like to do. Thats up to the guys that want to fight me to find out.
But as you said, im a striker and if i can controll a fight i wont take it to the ground. But im not an idiot, i do know how to work the ground game if i need to.

Marvin - Who is your biggest inspiration? Not limited to fighters that is.

Eskil - I come from quite a rough background in a small place called Akalla in Stockholm and my inspiration are all the people that live there.
Many of them have lived hard lives and i want to fight and be famous just to show them it can be done.
You can come from a place wich everyone looks down on and rise to the top.
My inspiration is to get to a point where i can inspire the small guys, the ones that are down and out of luck.

Marvin - You have a fight comming up in a few days against Tom Jones. Whats your toughts on him and that fight?

Eskil - He has won two of two fights on knock outs in the first round so i know he is a good striker.
I wont go into tactics but i feel i know his strenght and i would be stupid to play into that.
He has not been tested in a fight that goes longer then one round, so maybe i will see how big he gas tank is.
Marvin - So the plan is to make the fight last longer and hope he runs tired?

Eskil - Maybe, maybe not. You need to watch the figh and see.

Marvin - What seperates you from all the other fighters in your weightclass?

Eskil - My abilty to controll the fight and get it where i want it. I always aim to bring the other fighter into my world and fight the way i want to fight.
And when we are in my world i rule.
Marvin - So if you could have a dreamfight against anyone, dead or alive, fighter or not. Who would it be against and why that person?

Eskil - There are so many good fighters out there that would be amazing to take on.
But, i would like to have a go at Zlatan Ibrahimovic, the swedish soccer player.
He is a cool guy with sort of the same bacground as me.
Marvin - Finaly, what would you like to be rememberd for after you are done fighting?

Eskil - I want to be rememberd as the fighter that inspired lots and lots of kids in Akalla to rise above what everone expects of them.
The guy that gave all the youg boys and girls inspiration to grow as humans and go for whatever goal thet have. That would be nice.

Marvin - Thanks for this talk and good luck in your next fight. Do you want to make a prediction of that fight?

Eskil - I win on a knock out in round 3.

All fighters have their reason to fight and you never know that reason before you ask.
Of all the reasons i have heard i think the one Eskil is fighting for is one of those that i like the most.
Fighting not for yourself but for others is a noble way of living and something i personally hope and wish more people would do.
