Noob Week

Editorial by Dj Parko

Noob Week - By A. Noob Everyone, even the most accomplished MMA Tycoon manager, have been through ‘Noob week’. A managers first week within the game. For many managers this week will have faded into distant memory, for others it may be fresh in mind.

I recently spent the time to discuss the game with one of its newest managers, DJ Parko, a new manager who has just completed his own ‘Noob week’.

DJ began encouragingly, creating his first four fighters who all instantly participated in the QFC, all with success. As I am sure is the pathway taken by many o’ Noob each week.

This was but the first test, next was the challenge of finding more suitable gyms for the fighters, but how to achieve this with the limited funds of a new manager?

Well, this is where ‘The Noob Fund’ comes in, a program for which DJ is particularly grateful. He specifically wanted to thank James Listerman for organising the fund, as well as the many generous donors.

Once hit with the MMA Tycoon bug, it would seem that the immediate response is to try and soak up as much information as possible, first of scour the forums and user guides in order to benefit from the wisdom of more experienced managers.
One particularly interesting for of media was the podcast! Adding a more human feel to the game. Throughout Noob week, managers immediately come in to contact with other managers and company owners. It would appear that the MMA Tycoon community is full of helpful individuals, whoare more than willing to help the many Noob managers on their way into the daunting world of MMA.

In the case of DJ he was initially assisted with early questions by Scott J of Vanquish Fight Club in Sydney and Fightpit clothing of Sydney. On the final day of this first week, DJ suffered his first loss.

When questioned on this result DJ compared an MMA managers first loss to that of a young cyclist ‘I was once told you can’t be a good rider until you had fallen off, thus broken any fear of a fall, this is much like the first loss on MMA Tycoon, now I can continue without worrying about a worthless unbeaten record’.

Following the completion of Noob week, DJ has graduated with an addiction in MMA Tycoon, with dreams of one day throwing down with the big boys.
