 Legacy! 1

Wednesday July 1st, 2015
Live from Montreals Belle Centre

Ladies and Gentlemen, please allow me to welcome you to the inagural event being held by the recently opened company Legacy!.  We come to you live from a sold out Montreal Belle Centre where a raucus 21,500 fans are expected to be in attendance.  Legacy! expects to see many future greats step into their cage and begin a journey that will easily establish not only a run of greatness but like the company name suggests, their Legacy!.   Many young hopefuls have jumped on board and plan on becoming synonomous with the future history behind the name "Legacy!" and we hope to add to that history in the coming weeks and months as this company continues to grow and prosper.  With all that being said lets get right to the action.  In our Main Event of Legacy! 1 we have a pair of veteran Heavyweight combatants looking to add another "W" to their records and our Co-Main Event features a pair of up and coming superstars looking to cement their "Legacy!" in this epic battle.  Here is a quick run down of what we have in store for you this evening.

Main Event - 265 lbs Romo vs Takahashi

John Kyle Romo comes into this one riding a 1 fight loss streak after wining the previous 3 posting a 3-1 record in Sydney's AXF while on the other side of the cage Ethelbart Takahashi has been victorious in his last 4 fights under the Steel Penn banner.   Both fighters possess wikid Knock Out power combining for a total of 59 career wins by way of T(KO).  Each fighter has also won slightly over 75% of their total wins in that fashion and we do not expect things to change here on Canada Day!!  Fireworks are normally saved for later when the sungoes down but the feeling within the community is these 2 Heavyweights are already planning an early Fireworks Show!  Both combatants match up fairly equally on the feet with Romo holding a slight edge in Muay Thai while Takahashi is also just slightly behind in Wrestling however we dont expect that to play much into the outcome in this one!   Romo likes to set up his punches with vicious leg kicks and has over his career enjoyed a high level of success with his strikes while Ethelbart has shown success with his head punches he has relied more on his power in all his other strikes.  If Romo's chin can hold up to the power of Takahashi we think he can come out on top in this one and we also feel the smack talking of manager Umberts may have caught up with him in recent times, as he continues to point out his 4-0 advantage over Legacy! owner Louie DePalma apprently he has struggled against the remainder of the community and fallen on hard times lately falling as low as 266 in the rankings.  That misfortune continues on this night as this one ends with Karma landing a KO victory for Romo over Bomb Squad fighter Takahashi in round 2!

Co-Main Event - 2055 lbs Brody vs Hall

This fight breaks down as a potential ground vs striker battle as Patrick Brody comes into this one against Sam Hall as a decisive underdog on paper.  However we all know in MMA paper doesnt always hold up once the cage door is locked shut!  Both of these fighters are the future of this sport as they combine a total of 22 career pro fights, in comparison the Main Event between John Kyle Romo and Ethelbart Takahashi showcases a total of 113 fights between the combatants!  Patrick Brody enters the cage as the reigning Middleweight Champion of recently inactive Immortals in NY seeing his last action all the way back at the end of April, 2015 meanwhile Sam Hall has fell on hard times recently taking L's in 3 of his last 4 fights, with the most recent occurring in round 2 of the Insanity Mad Cash tourney against cute and cuddly Pika Chu.  Hall will no doubt be looking to turn his fortunes around tonight using his great stand up skills and power but lets hope his chin can hold up as well as his fists!!  Facing off on the other side Brody is more well rounded and will likely look to take this one to the ground as he does not possess the type of power he will be facing in Hall, but his successes enjoyed in the grappling game will be hsi key to victory.  This fight looks to be an amazing table setter for the fireworks sure to be seen in the Main Event, it has Fight of the Night written all over it and like you I cant wait to see it take place!!

205 lbs Kroblur vs Nucleus

Next up we see a battle that could certainly be decided on the feet or on the ground.    Matt Kroblur comes into this one far behind on experience when compared to Edinger Nucleus having on 1/3 of the career fights Nucleus has endured however Kroblur is sure to be a rising star.  His Granite chin will certainly be tested in this one as Nucleus has enjoyed wins by way of T(KO) in 8 of his career 11 victories.    But as much as he has enjoyed exposing opponents with his immence power Nucleus has also shown an ability to utilize his BJJ skills based on the 2 victories earlier in his career will attest and the thinking here is he may need to rely on that skillset.  Coming into this one Matt Kroblur is undefeated in 4 career fights  holding his own on his feet but likely looking to expose his edge in both Wrestling and BJJ by taking this one to the ground where he possesses viscious ground and pound skills and an ability to control the fight once on the ground.  This is another matchup that could easily contend for Fight of the Night and we are excited we were able to put it together last minute to compliment the top half of our inaugural event!

155 lbs Malvo vs Rhino

Fight #4 of our Main Card sees two more young studs go toe to toe as gifted boxer Lorne Malvo brings his striking game to the cage to do battle with Reyki Rhino who likes to mix up his strikes with a solid Clinch game.  Malvo enjoys the aggressive approach to his battles as his high number of strikes from standing show but he also likes to mix in a takedown or 2 when the opportunity presents itself!  In contrast Rhino likes to mix things up alittle but prefers to rely on quality over quantity.   Both these men would like to establish dominance in the Legacy! 155 lbs division during their first appearances in a quest to catch the eye of ownership no doubt with a future title fight in mind.  Both these warriors have enjoyed 6 wins to their credit by way of T(KO) victories but only one man has suffered the lights out defeat of the KO.  Our thinking here is both will try and impose their will on their opponent and attempt to win over the judges because this one very well could go all the way to the final bell.

265 lbs Kermit  vs Barbosa

In the fight that kicks off our Main card we have some real heavy hitters. Constantine "Killer Frog" Kermit is another successful fighter from Immortals. He has so far racked up an impressive 6 wins with his only loss to his name coming from a fight early in his career. Kermit's power is clear to see with nearly all of his wins not even seeing the end of round 1. He likes to get in the cage and get the job done and he's not fussy how he gets it done either being capable of KO-ing his opponent by vicious head kicks or single KO punches.

You'd be forgiven for thinking that Frank "Operation" Barbosa was made from the same mould. He too is a KO merchant but seems to have even more urgency than Kermit to get the result in the bag and get home. He is currently undefeated with 4 wins under his belt, all of them finished inside the first round and not one taking longer than an unbelievable 48 seconds! This will be a big test for Barbosa as not only has he not had a fight since the beginning of the year but it will also be the first fight under new management. Barbosa has had a chequered past when it comes to management, he has had two previous managers before he found himself on the doorstep of Gwad's stable. Fans will be very interested to see how high he can climb now he's backed by a talented manager

Both fighters are more than capable of taking home the win, Kermit has slightly more experience and may have fought better opponents but there is no denying Barbosa's raw power, one punch and it could be all over. I don't think this fight has any chance of going the distance; it should be just a case of lighting the fuse and stepping back to watch the show.

Well folks thats all the time we have but here is a quick listing of our other fights on this action packed event
