GAMMA#482 Bateman v Danze Review

Global Association of MMA, Fight Organization, London
Company profile by Mentor Guru Corleone

On 16 May, 2015, the original GAMMA (Global Association of MMA) Organization, managed by the always productive Mentor Corleone (3503), presented the GAMMA#482 Bateman vs Danze event, for the viewing pleasure of rabid MMA fans around the globe. This event, located at the Wombley Arena in Lomdon, is proudly sponsored by GREEN!160 based in Las Vegas.

This action-packed event had 10 fights resulting in 4 knockouts and 6 decisions. It also hosted one Title fight at 265 pounds between Patrick Bateman and Billy Danze for the Heavyweight Championship. Rabid Alien here to walk you through the tossed-aside cadavers, and for those of you with the taste for it, all the broken backs, and stomach-stomped entrails can be found at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventpublic.php?EvID=828837

265+ lbs fight between Jon "Bones" Pegas (129570) and Mark Makers (111282)

It starts with Makers throwing a left and a right and both miss...which was pretty much his story in this fight. Makers threw 53 strikes and landed only 18 of them and thats not very good. Pegas on the other hand not only threw more strikes, but landed a hellofa lot more to boot. Pegas did fine in the standing, but when it went into the clinch he simply tore that ass up, landing 42 of the 79 strikes he threw...and thats pretty damn good, and a decision would of been EASY except it came down to Round 3 opens with Pegas knocking Makers down with a hook and when Makers gets up, Pegas makes short work of things and...

Results: After 0:13 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jon Pegas!

155 lbs fight between Wolfram Stelzer (198888) and Jeff Gorden (143166)

Well...think Im gonna tell this story differently. There were a TOTAL of 31 strikes landed...thats BOTH fighters added together...yep...BORING. Yawn...

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Wolfram Stelzer!

185 lbs fight between Allen Robinson (199380) and Sepp "Sub" Maier (86796)

This was a story about repetition...or perhaps we could say mindless pursuit of failure? It kinda goes like this... Maier shoots and misses and Robinson makes him pay and then...Maier shoots and misses and Robinson counters and...Maier has a takedown stuffed. and then...Maier gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Robinson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Maier is rocked! But even then he continues the insane mindless pursuit of a takedown and get BEATdown until Robinson finds Maier's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! It was PAINFUL to watch this one-sided ass whuppin I shit u not. I understand Maier is a submission "artist" but you gotta bring more to the table....

Results: After 2:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Allen Robinson !

145 lbs fight between Meat Beater (174503) and "The Balled Of" Speedy Atkins (175107)

Can you say clinches? Atkins sure can...he attempted to "grab a hug" 45 times and was beaten off 39 times...damn that sounds disgusting! Anyway...he did OK there in the clinch, but not as well as Beater did. Beater outstruck Atkins in the clinch 2 to 1. And Beater outstruck Atkins in the standing as well, making it easy for the judges decision...

Results: All 3 judges agree the fight was 27:30 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Meat Beater!

185 lbs fight between "Lightnin" Lazaro Molina (183872) and Jax "Scarslutje" Teller (144166)

This was a kick fest and I bet both men were in wheelchairs for days afterwards considering each of them ate more leg kicks than any other strike. And there were other strikes! Both men used the entire arsenal, but Molina landed more and made the judges job reasonably easy.

Results: All 3 judges see the fight at 29:28 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Lazaro Molina!

155 lbs fight between Napoleon Dynamite (191238) and Josiah "the Spaceman" Bartlet (207713)

Bartlet the wrestler and Dynamite the boxer both are weak in BJJ but both were wrking to get takedowns and when they got them they both had GnP and submission attempts so that was interesting. Not much happening in the clinch altho Bartlet wanted to clinch badly enough he tried 12 times (got it 1 time) but landed only 1 punch there. All in all, it was another YAWN fight. Consider Dynamite outpunched Bartlet and had only 33 strikes landed, and you can see why the beer sales tripled during this fight.

Results: The 3 judges see the fight slightly different at 27:30/27:30/28:29 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Napoleon Dynamite!

185 lbs fight between Bobby "The Black Knight" Bishop (186392) and Luca "scrapatutti" Turilli (131893)

No ground battle, very little clinch war and it was all about numbers in the standup. The numbers were Bishop with 78 strikes landed and Turilli had 35 strikes landed. That makes it easy for the judges...

Results: All 3 judges see the fight the same at 30:27 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Bobby Bishop!

145 lbs fight between "The Worlds Most Dangerous" Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (218431) and Umberto Sotto Jr (184807)

Sotto is the better trained fighter, but has a glass chin. al-Baghdadi isnt scared though and comes out swinging, and more importantly landing! al-Baghdadi is counter punching and kicking and using combinations and Sotto is kicking and eating what al-Baghdadi is sending at him and 2 an 1/2 minutes into the fight he gets served a head-kick ala carte desert delivered by al-Baghdadi free of charge.

Results: After 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi!

170 lbs fight between "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka (159898) and Marshall Noir (112792)

Both men being elite ground warriors it was no surprise they spent some time on the ground, but it WAS a surprise considering they both wanted to get to the ground that between them they tried 13 takedowns and got only 3. Thats kinda strange it seems to me. Guess its a macho thing to say who got the takedown...even tho with both being black belts in BJJ u would think they would accept being on the bottom more readily... Anyway...the more outstanding work done on the ground was by Snuka who landed 11 of the 21 GnP strikes he threw. There was no clinching but the standup battle damn near dead even with Snuka landing 17 punches and Noir landing 16 punches. So the judges seeing it a close fight for Snuka I have to agree.

Results: All 3 judges saw it a close fight at 28:29 in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Jimmy Snuka! This fight was awarded the "Fight of the Night".

265 lbs TITLE fight beetween the Champion, "American Psycho" Patrick Bateman (180187) and the Challenger, Billy "Danzinie" Danze (149908)

Danze being an elite ground fighter with a 10 win streak before coming to GAMMA is up against the Champ. Bateman is an elite Muay Thai fighter with 27 of his 28 wins coming by knockout. So this fight is going to be all about WHERE they fight Im thinking. Danze lands first and gets jabbed and cut for his audacity. And its on like Donkey Kong...Bateman is after the body and Danze is also attacking and lands a beatiful spinning backfist. But its not to long and the power in Batemans body shots are showing as Danze seems winded. Just shy of a minute into the fight, Bateman lands a big right hand that sends Danze crashing to the mat! He waves him to his feet and seconds later delivers the coup de grace and cracks Danze on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Danze falls backwards against the cage. Bateman follows up with more strikes that drop Danze to his knees, and keeping throwing until the ref jumps in...Now THAT was a beatdown....

Results: After 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Patrick Bateman! Patrick Bateman retains his heavyweight title! Bateman was awarded the "KO of the night" for this performance.

Another fine MMA event brought to you by the worlds best...the GAMMA Organization! GOODBYE !
