Spencer Kilco reporting for £4£: The best for MMA News, Views and Reviews

EMMA hosts five massive fights this Saturday. Ten of the islands biggest fighters square off in the heavy and super heavy weight division. If you haven’t had the chance to check out this young company yet, be sure to tune into their seventh show to all these heavy hitters.

265 lbs main event: Kenny Chaos vs Roger Machado

The nights main event sees two hot prospects compete for the fans love. Chaos (4-1) is on a four fight win streak and with all four KO wins in EMMA you have to think being on home ground is going to be an advantage. The heavyweight has great wrestling skills that allows him to bully his opponent around but it’s his strong punch that is finishing matches with a superman punch ending his last fight in 55 seconds. Yet it’s not his boxing that shins out it’s a great sense of mauy thai that he’s going to have to rely on to out fight his Brazilian opponent.

Machado (4-0) is going to be looking for a dominate win in his EMMA debut. With absolutely no power in his fists and all wins coming by submission so far expect Machado to take the fight to the ground quickly. His wrestling may or may not match Chaos’ but his BJJ is supreme. With four first round wins he’s proven he can lock up any type submission quickly, but can he avoid Chaos’ quick hands and score the takedown.

265 lbs co main event: Thiago Myda vs War Machine

Myda (3-1) is coming of a dominating decision win that showed us that he can box and wrestle maybe better than another heavyweight in EMMA. Going up Machine (3-1) Myda’s takedown and submission defence will be tested. The Swedish wrestler Machine finds most of his wins by submission but has a solid stand up. A fight the EMMA fans have been waiting for these two seem matched in abilities. This fight could be decided on who can control the clinch and pace of the fight.

265+ lbs: Achim Albrecht vs Fray Bentos

With five fights between them Albrecht (2-0) and Bentos (3-0) are still rookies. However we do know that Bentos is a fantastic wrestler with knockout ability while Albrecht seems to be more of a well-rounded fighter. Bentos has all of his three wins by way of KO yet throughout the match dominates on the ground so it’s hard to think Albrecht can beat him down there.  The German needs to keep Bentos standing, stay on the outside and move in with the counters. In their young careers both fighters will be desperate to continue proving themselves.

265+ lbs: Jason Myers vs The Islander

Myers (1-2) has struggled to pick up a win so far in EMMA in his two fights so far. With decent boxing and wrestling the American hopes to make quick work of The Islander (1-2). The Islander is a world class mauy thai fighter so the longer this fight goes the more likely Islander is to clinch and control Myers. Coming off a KO loss Islander needs to protect his glass jaw and get in close.

265 lbs: Alex King vs Peper Panel

Muay thai fighter Panel (1-2) seems to have the skills to be a contender yet fails to put them to good use as he’s on a two fight losing streak. King (0-2) is a similar case but with great wrestling skills. Both fighters desperately need a win if they are to continue to be taken seriously. Do expect both fighters to clinch/takedown and stall, not our pick for fight of the night.

Some great matches have come out EMMA so far so make sure you tune in this weekend for an excellent night of heavy men.
