Editorial by Grumpy Bastard

Stomp-a-thon 14        4 July 2015        Review by Rabid Alien (102643)
The Romper Room Butt-Stompers has once again shown why its events are becoming the Saturday night "place to be" here in Las Vegas with an incredible show at the The Underground this July 4th.  This exciting event had 7 fights resulting in 4 knockouts, and 3 decisions, for the viewing pleasure of the MMA fans who flocked in to see it.  This review will hopefully visualize for the fans who sadly missed it....just what a great evening they missed out on.  If my verbs fail u can get the bloody details at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventmanager.php?EvID=837749.

265 lbs fight between Konstantin "Russian Bear" Erokhin (273289) and Alen Zalac (272486)
Erokhin is a Muay Thai fighter, and Zalac is a street fighter with a weakness in Muay Thai.  Ding Ding !   Erokhin straight to the clinch and Zalac looking for a takedown.  Erokhin is landing shots and Zalac is cut as he is doing everything he can to get the fight on the mat.  But before he can do that, Erokhin lands his 3rd knee of the fight and Zalac crumples and its over.
Results:    After 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee & Punches). Konstantin Erokhin!

205 lbs fight between Edward "REAL DEAL " McManis (269900)  and James Bates (270946)
McManis is a boxer/wrestler and Bates is a street fighter.  Ding Ding !  McManis comes out swinging and kicking and Bates counters with a nice shoot takedown.  From there on the fight was like a takedown/clinch sparring session and each took their turns...but the difference was McManis did more of everything...including landing strikes.
Results:    All 3 judges see the fight the same at 30:27  in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Edward McManis!

205 lbs fight between Doug "The Milf Destroyer" Schmiddy (268392) and Douglas Morrisson (268625)
Schmiddy is ground fighter with some boxing skills and Morrisson is also a ground fighter.  Ding Ding !   Schmiddy is swinging away and Morrisson busy looking for a takedown and finally gets it, and returns some bruises to Schmiddy.  And they spend more than 4 minutes with Morrisson feeding  Schmiddy elbows, mixed in with some submission sauce...but Schmiddy couldnt put Morrisson away.  Round 2,  Schmiddy comes out swinging and fakes with a body kick and then  throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Morrisson stumbling backwards into the cage! Morrisson bounces back off the cage towards Schmiddy, who then unleases an nasty little beatdown combination to end the fight.
Results:     After 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Doug Schmiddy!

70 lbs fight between Rancid Crabtree (269345) and Reese "The True One" Angelos (268809)
Crabtree is a street fighter and Angelos is a boxer.  Ding Ding !  Angelos missing the takedown attempt and Crabtree tries a series of missing combinations and manages to cut Angelos with a head kick 1 minute into the fight.  They go at it until the end of the round and in the punching it was running about even...but Crabtree was adding in kicks effectively.  Round 2, Crabtree still mixing it up with combinations manages to rock Angelos quickly and then drops him with a left hand, and it a matter of climbing on top and finish the job, and Crabtree is happy to accomplish that.
Results:    After 0:21 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rancid Crabtree!

185 lbs fight between Gasan "Cobra" Umalatov (273290) and Jeff "JG" Gotwalt (274936)
Both men are ground fighters with speciality in BJJ style, so this is likely to go to the ground rather quickly....  Ding Ding !  Thank God for Umalatov who quickly cut Gotwalt with 1 of the 4 strikes thrown in the game....and when he landed 3 strikes to Gotwalt's 0....well it made it easy for the judges....what was hard was sitting here watching it, takedown-submission attempts and advance position over and over again....BORING  !  And watching 2 grown men fighting over who was going to get credit for going to the ground when both of them wanted to be there....I mean seriously...22 takedown attempts and only 4 were successful ? wow !  I heard chants of "money back money back"...
Results:    All 3 judges see the fight the same at 27:30  in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Gasan Umalatov!

265 lbs fight between Bronko Buster (265872) and Max Jackson (265143)
Buster is a boxer with ground fighter skills and Jackson is a boxer with wrestling skills.  Ding Ding !  Buster comes out aggressive and swinging and Jackson is duckin and dodgin and then coming in close to overcome the reach advantage...Jackson is taking body shots and other miscellaneous airborn missiles thrown by Buster who is like a swarm of bees.  Its not long and one of those bees turned into a right hand that lands flush on the jaw, knocking Jackson out cold!
Results:    After 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bronko Buster!

205 lbs TITLE fight between Miguel Castillion (260061) and Guli Glozman
Castillion the Champion, is a highly trained and well-rounded fighter and the Challenger, Glozman is a well-rounded fighter with serious Muay Thai abilities.  Ding Ding !  Both men come out throwing various strikes as they look for weak spots.  They mix things up nicely with Castillion sometimes working for a takedown and Glozman throwing knees and generally putting on a show until the end of the round.  Round 2, Glozman with a leg kick thats countered for a takedown by Castillion who eventually gets around to a submission attempt before the referee stands them up.  Immediately Castillion returns the leg kick and they get into a kicking war that ends with Castillion lands a high kick to the side of Glozman's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas!  Glozman is cut, but survives to the end of the round.  Round 3,  Both warriors come out and throw some kicks and Castillion gets a takedown and basically held Glozman down and threw in just enough submission attempts to keep the referee from standing them up...and smartly dominated Glozman until the end of the fight which he knew was in the bag.
Results:    All 3 judges saw the fight the same at 29:28  in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Miguel Castillion!  Miguel Castillion retains his light heavyweight title!  This fight was awarded "Fight of the Night" award.
