Editorial by Grumpy Bastard

Stomp-a-thon 15        11 July 2015        Review by Rabid Alien (102643)
The Romper Room Butt-Stompers has once again shown why its events are becoming the Saturday night "place to be" here in Las Vegas with an incredible show at the The Underground this July 4th.  This exciting event had 6 fights resulting in 3 knockouts, 2 submissions and 1 decision, for the viewing pleasure of the MMA fans who flocked in to see it.  This review will hopefully visualize for the fans who sadly missed it....just what a great evening they missed out on.  If my verbs fail u can get the bloody details at http://www.mmatycoon.com/orgeventmanager.php?EvID=838313.
205 lbs fight between "The Game " Trenton Funkhouser (271638) and Sven Artur (273136)
Funkhouser is a boxer/BJJ fighter and Artur is boxer with ground fighting skills so this could go anywhere....  Ding Ding !  Artur comes out aggressive and swinging, and Funkhouser is countering and wanting a takedown.  Artur is landing nicely and Funkhouser is getting in a few shots and continues to work for a takedown and with just over a minute left in the round he gets it.  Funkhouser is quick to start working submissions but Artur fights him  off until end of round.  Round 2, Funkhouser on the defense and looking for a takedown and Artur is throwing plenty and landing little.  Funkhouser is extremely accurate with his strikes and finally manages to get the takedown where he instantly goes for a submission.  They both squirm around like wud wrestlers for a bit trying to submit each other and Artur manages to get a reversal which was apparently exactly what Funkhouser wanted as he immediately slapped in a triangle transitioned into a guillotine, and Artur is tapping !
Results:    After 4:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Trenton Funkhouser!  Nice work Funkhouser ! Funkhouser was awarded the "Submission of the Night".
265 lbs fight between Mohamad "Anubis" Salem (271532) and Alexander Oshie (271398)
Salem is a boxer and Oshie is a Muay Thai Fighter.  Ding Ding !   Oshie throws a sloppy head kick, and Salem connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle which cuts Oshie. Oshie throws a head kick that connects and Salem has been cut.  The vampires are stormimg the ring and security is on the run with crosses in hand...   The fighters are going at it toe to toe, and suddenly Oshie is down.  He gets to his feet groggy and Salem sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook and knocks him right the hell OUT !
Results:    After 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Mohamad Salem!  Salem is awarded the "KO of the Night".

205 lbs fight between Sameh Mahmoud (271534) and Brij "O's" Ja (271518)
Mahmoud is a wrestler and Ja is a street fighter.   Ding Ding !   Ja comes out swinging and Mahmoud grabs a clinch and starts working the body.  Ja wants out of the clinch but Mahmoud is holding him there and just beating the hell out of him and then drops Ja onto one knee with a big uppercut.  Ja gets up groggy and cut and Mahmoud pushes him against the cage and catching him on the bounce, Mahmoud cracks him with a massive overhand right that sends him crashing to the mat! Its OVER ! Thats what is called DOMINANCE.
Results:    After 0:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sameh Mahmoud!

205 lbs fight between Yuji Kajima (266450) and Rafinha Silva (264300)
Both men are boxers.  Ding Ding !   Silva on the defense as Kajima comes out kicking at all levels and both men are on full fight mode until the end of the round which saw Silva cut by a right hand.  Round 2,  Silva on the attack, combos and kicks and Kajima seems to be working the body and a few kicks, and eventually Silva grabs a clinch and cuts Kajima with a right hand.  Silva is working the body in the clinch and it looks like Kajima is short breath but survives to the end the round.  Round 3, Silva wants the clinch again and after finding the weak spot there last round, I dont blame him, but Kajima fights him off and they go at it with Kajima low licking and Silva defending nicely but having trouble connecting.  Last half the round, Kajima misses with a body shot and Silva counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick and Kajima is cut is opened wide up and he responds by kicking Silva in the BALLS.  Well hey, its better than biting off an ear yes?  The judges must of thought so ....
Results:    All 3 judges see the fight the same at 28:29  in favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Yuji Kajima!

185 lbs fight between Rikkard Hanson (260249)  and Chopper Doom
Hanson is a boxer/BJJ fighter, and Doom is a street-style fighter with strength in boxing.  Ding Ding !  This fight was about positioning? Not many strikes but lots of movement...takedowns and submissions attempts and standups and even a clinch...but in the 3rd round Hanson apparently set a trap for Doom?  After stuffing 3 takedown attempts by Doom, Hanson perhaps "allows" him to get a takedown? And then switches gears and quickly slaps in an arm lock and forces Doom to the mat where he quickly taps!  Excellent work Hanson!
Results:     After 0:54 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Rikkard Hanson!

205 lbs fight between Messi "Neymar" Suarez (273874)  and Hektor Gracie (272789)
Suarez is a boxer/wrestler and Gracie is Muay Thai/wrestler.  Ding Ding !   Gracie comes out kicking and Suarez grabs a clinch and from that point on it was a beatdown.  Surprisingly Gracie the Muay Thai fighter didnt seem to have any offense in the clinch and just before the end of round 1, still in the clinch, he is rocked by a Suarez uppercut, followed by a body shot and another uppercut that drops Gracie to his knees and its quckly over.
Results:     After 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Messi Suarez!

GOODNITE !!!
