(8/15/15) HERE WE GO! The first ever fight card for Victory is now complete and now the fighters are training hard in prep for their bouts. This night will begin each fighters journey to be crowned the first ever CHAMP in their division! Lets take a look at how the Main Card and under card pan out:

(UNDER CARD- 170lb) Greg Gaines (0-0) vs Amp Energy (0-0)
(UNDER CARD- 145lb) Filipe Acosta (1-0) vs Johnny Vegas (0-0)
(UNDER CARD- 205lb) Remarcus Jones (1-1) vs Ricky Slade (0-1)
(UNDER CARD- 145lb) Baeddan MacAuliffe (0-0) vs Alberto Barraza (1-2)
(UNDER CARD- 205lb) Kevaughn Aldridge (0-0) vs Lamar Johnson (0-1)

(MAIN CARD- 265lb) Victorys first ever Main Card kicks off with a clash between two heavyweight contenders. Coming to the cage by way of Saginaw, USA is Victor “Veteran of Violence” Jace (3-0). Holding a perfect professional record, Jace will look for an early submission or TKO to keep his winning streak alive. No stranger to first round finishes (1 TKO, 2 Subs) he will get his first shot in the Victory Cage and he wants nothing more than to begin the 265lb climb to the top with a W. His opponent, John “Review” Marshall (0-1) may not have a professional win yet, but don’t let that fool you as he has crisp boxing and a world of experience on the mat. Marshall was caught with a triangle choke early in his debut after securing a takedown and implementing some ground and pound. He will look to end the winning streak of Jace and begin a streak of his own inside the Victory cage.

(MAIN CARD- 155lb) The second bout of Victorys Main Card pits two strong lightweight strikers against one another. Osvaldo Gomez (2-0) comes to us from Guadalajara, Mexico and has had first round success finishing both of his first opponents by TKO early in their fights. A respectable wrestler with fight ending strikes, Gomez will surely put on a show for the fans at VCL Fight Night: 1. Across the cage will be Ron “Smash” Waker (1-1) who grew up in rough and tough Camden, New Jersey. No slouch in the striking game, Waker will look to put an end to Gomez winning streak and continue his own. With experience in BJJ as well, Waker will feel comfortable wherever the fight goes. I cannot wait to see how this one ends.

(MAIN CARD- 155lb) In our third bout, we see “The Butcher of Brooklyn” Frank Farinola (0-0) make his professional debut against a very dangerous Muay Thai practitioner, Atanase Teodor (0-1). Teodor is here fighting in New York by way of Romania and he brings one of the best Muay Thai backgrounds to Victory. Be on the lookout for him to utilize his strikes while he tries for his first professional win inside the cage. Farinola is the local favorite who wants nothing more than a win in his debut. Frank has a solid striking and grappling background and he must remain active in all areas if he wants to come out on top. Who will walk away with a victory and move up in the 155lb division?

(CO MAIN EVENT- 205lb) The Co Main Event showcases two of the 205lb divisions best fighters. Mohammed “Im Hard” Bruce Lee (2-0) will face his toughest opponent to date when he clashes with Malik “The Burner” Turner (4-1). Lee will fight with an unblemished record at 2-0 with the two wins each by bone crunching submission. Not known for his striking, we will see if Lee can work that into his training camp come fight night. Will Lee secure another ruthless submission or show the world his striking ability? His opponent will fight fresh off a 43 second TKO in his last bout. Malik Turner sports one of the best records within the Victory promotion which he has built upon vicious strikes and proficient wrestling. Hailing from the Bronx, the home town fan favorite will want nothing more than another knockout to add to his resume. This should be a great Co Main Event as it showcases what MMA was built upon, the classic grappler vs striker matchup.

(MAIN EVENT- 185lb) And last, but certainly not least comes Victorys first ever Main Event, a clash between two undefeated middleweight fighters. Chicago’s own Jeff “DX” Baldwin (2-0) will look for his third consecutive first round knockout when he squares off against hometown fighter Ray “Suga Ray” Leonard (2-0). Leonard steps into the cage fresh off a second round submission victory (triangle choke) and he will look stay active on the mat and on his feet if he wants to remain undefeated. This matchup has the makings of an exciting Main Event as fans cannot wait to see who will keep a perfect record.

There ya have it folks! The run down for Victorys first ever Fight Night. Be sure to get your tickets early as this event will take place on 8/15/15 at Paddy Omalleys Bar in New York and is sure to sell out! Hope you all enjoy the fights
