Interviewer: Rick Robertson, of “ In-Ya-Face Sports LLC”

IYF Sports is an Independent Canadian Sports Network which can be seen nightly on the WFU Network or via their web broadcast “Nut Punch”.

When I heard that the Palace of Pain Fight Camp a Montreal based fight alliance opened a gym south of the boarder I knew I had to jump on a plane and see for myself. Upon landing in NY I made it to the gym early and was able to catch both the owner Prof. Carter (103190) and his new conditioning coach.

IYF – Prof. Carter, first thanks for making time for me today on such short notice.

Prof – It is always a pleasure to see you.

IYF – I am going to cut to the case. You have had a long time standing in Montreal with your fight camp and a great group of fighters what brings you to New York?

Prof. – New York is quickly becoming the MMA Mecca and there is a lot of great young and old talent in the area. I have several young fighters there myself and I seen a need for some good old school training.

IYF – What do you mean by old school?

Prof. Well…. There is many great gyms but the majority of them have aimed at the seasoned and or elite fighter.  Palace of Pain FC Gym if nothing more than that a place of pain a place for new, young or any fighter that is looking for a gym to do nothing more than sparing and conditioning.

IYF – So this is the place to come prior to your next big match to do some training?

Prof. – That’s it. Before or any time you are looking to punch, kick, roll or grapple stop by the Place.

IYF – You made mention that you also offer conditioning sessions?

Prof. – Yes. We just hired a wonderful conditioning coach named  Diego Hickman. He is a great coach from California and he is here to cover all the fighters agility, speed and balance needs.

IYF. – Well Prof. I see a few fighter just came in and I don’t want to hold you up so thanks again for the interview, good luck and we will see you again.

Prof. – Again anytime for you and your readers.
