The Leftovers
2015-09-06, The Island, Hayashi's Lounge - The Island
Author:The Dictator

Hey! Are you yearning for the happiness of  a former time? Nostalgic? I'm surprised you still remember anything at all considering the amount of headshots you've been taking lately. Welcome to the Hayashi's Lounge! Here are the top 5 fights from Nostalgia:

#6 Benny Lawlor Hanson Recall

Former middleweight Lawlor is 3-1 since dropping down to 170lbs.

He's been a long time with us but never managed to break through the ranks of the deep welterweight division. Benny is a volume striker but he's limited to punching which makes his gameplan predictable. Recall dropped 2 fights after putting up a nice 5 fight winning streak. He rebounded well in his last fight and he'll be looking to start another streak against Lawler. He also favours punches but he can also mix it up with almost everything. This one should be a good one.

#7 Kobe Kage Andrew West

Kage is a late arrival to the island but he has already a 3-1 record with us with all his wins by form of submission.  His opponent, West, is much younger than Kage but also much more experienced having already a 6-3 record with us. Andrew is a versatile fighter who has wins by KO, submission and decision. I'm guessing that if he can avoid the ground for long periods he'll come out victorious here.

#8 Mario Pala Cornelis Spilbergen

Pala, from Argentina, has amassed a 4-1 record in just 2 weeks of fighting in the underground island circuit. His first real fight will be against the streaking Dutchman Spilbergen. Just like almost all of his team mates, he's also a clinch fighter with heavy hands and already flies on a 4 fight TKO winning streak. Pala will be the first grappler he's faced so this will be a coin toss.

#9 - Co Main Event - Demitrious Dalby Julius Jackson

This one looks like a title eliminator for the 205lbs belt. Dalby is on a 2 fight winning streak having won 3 out of 4 fights here at the Leftovers. He's the only clinch fighter so far who actually uses elbows and knees so he's a crowd favorite. His opponent is looking to avenge an early career loss. Jackson's first fight on the island was against Dalby and he was TKOed on the 1st round. But that was a long time ago and the young Jackson had the chance to grow and holds a very respectable 6-2 record here with us. It's boxing versus muay thai clinch fighting!

#10 - Main Event - Bernardo Muriel Mitkoslav Boychitch - 205lbs Title Fight

Muriel is second only to current 170lbs champ Palmier and after losing his first fight in the island, he has run through the 205 division like a steamroller stamping his opponents hopes out. Besides being the undisputed #1 LHW of the island, he has the chance here to get his winning streak to 10! Everyone is an underdog against Pikachu and this time the chance fell to Boychitch who comes to this fight with a 5-2 record and with title fight experience from when he lost against the first Leftovers champ Ki Won. He's a boxer who likes to keep distance but Muriel is for sure going to look to clinch and destroy him with heavy blows. My money is on the champ but anything can happen.
