GAMMA Gosspip #50 November Review

Global Association of MMA, Fight Organization, London
Company profile by Mentor Guru Corleone

GAMMA' had another very solid month, we increased our total fighters base in the top 1000 to 88 (which is 18 fighters more than second placed CEC! 8 of those fighters are in our affiliate organizations at the moment). We also increased our total fighters in the top 200 p4p to 21 which is our own personal record. It is a grinding process to the top, but despite the constant animosity and disrespect among some of the competition, our rise is a stable procedure at the moment.

145lbs title picture.

Fernando Prado defended his title against Karate Kid during the past month in yet another decision win. A potential rematch with Nylerhotep Constantine is highly unlikely at the moment due to Nyler's poor form since winning the 155lbs title. He went 1-3 since that win a few months ago. Fernando will go up against Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in December. Abu is on some good form himself after beating ex-Champs Meat Beater and Ein Stein in 2 close split decisions. Steffan Stove, Jack Burton and Yuya Shimizu are 3 major signings for GAMMA at 145lbs over the past month which should add to the drama we have in the division.

155lbs

Timofey Boyko's transition to 155lbs proved to be successful after beating Nylerhotep Constantine in impressive fashion via strikes. He is hoping to become the 3rd fighter in history to hold a 155lbs and 145lbs title after Diego Sanchez and Fernando Prado previously achieved this feat. Krystian "Wojna" Wojnasiewicz has returned to great form to regain the title and is currently riding a 5 fight winning streak. He will be fighting Timofey Boyko next. Julio Sobral, Puukko Bulevardi are the 2 major signings in this division for the past month ranked in the top 1000.

170lbs

According to the forums Arthur Pinto is now the biggest prospect in the game and who is going to argue? The guy is still 24y old and is on a 15-0 streak and current 170lbs world GAMMA champion. He beat arguably the best 170lbs fighter in history, a 40y old Renan St Juste to win the title and will be defending his belt against Rufus McTearson, which is on a 3 fight win streak.

185lbs

This division has a lot of new faces as of late starting with the main new face which is current 185lbs champion Hugues De Payens! He beat ex-champ Virgil Keller via a decision last month and is 6-0 in his recent fights. Jeffrey Sarpong is a SFC multiple champ himself and currently a top 100 p4p ranking fighter which is fighting Hektor Troy in what should be the top contender fight. Their fight is probably the highest ranking top contender fight in history between 2 fighters in the top 85 p4p. Viv Richards is on an impressive run himself going 4-0. Leopold Stotch,  Bon Aqua, Scott Fleming are all significant recent additions to the roster.

205lbs

Gunnar Gustavsson was on an impressive 7-0 run until losing his super fight against Almu Tantor. HE will be hoping to stop the run of Lars Voller which is 6-0 himself in recent fights. Ricard Cuenca is hoping that the move to 205lbs will prove fruitful as he has fallen out of the sky since losing his 185lbs title a few months ago. Kurko Tyrma, Nero "La Bestia" Padilla are the 2 main new additions to the roster over the past month.

265 and 265+lbs

Gunnar Steigelmann is continuing his run as the dominant 265lbs champ after beating Lan Mandragon and Fat Gorilla (both 2nd time). He is on path to erase the cut loss to Chick Bowdrie. His next fight will be up against veteran ex-265lbs champion Rau Utu, which is currently under new management. He is hoping his recent nutrition diet which lead to him cutting down a lot of weight will play a role in his revival.

Tony Slevin is riding a fantastic run in GAMMA and is 9-1 in his recent run. His only loss he had against Tamias Poochyena and he avenged that loss last month via a Punch KO to defend his title. It seems sparring with Patrick Bateman (ex-265lbs champ), has helped him in his current run. He will be fighting Duke "Doomsday" Nukem which is 10-0 at the moment in his last 10 fights. Duke is just 26y of age, so a win will make him our youngest ever HW or SHW champion together with Fat Gorilla (which was about the same age when he beat Kenichi Shirahama)

Other news

Stanley Burrell Rising the ranks

When we resigned ex-170lbs champ it was suppose to be for a few last fights before retiring. It was unexpected that Stanley Burrell would go on a 5 fight winning streak! If he can beat Will Dearborn it should put him 1 fight away from achieving his ultimate goal and be offered a new title shot.

Willy Wonka record

Willy has broken the all time Submission record with 9 leaving John Heartman (8) Jimmy Snuka (8) Frank Sinatra (8) all behind. He also has some juice left in him at 35y, so we should still see a few more of those from him. Jimmy is the only active fighter which can compete for the record. Willy will also be joining the "30s" club pretty soon as he is currently with 29 pro fights in GAMMA. Only 17 other fighters can claim to be part of the same club. All those fighters are currently in the GAMMA HOF or will be inducted soon, so this gives you a pretty good idea where Willy will end up.

GREEN!160 ending sponsorship

GREEN!160 has been inactive for some time, so we will be signing a new deal with a new merchandise partner MayheM sportswear (4644), http://www.mmatycoon.com/clothingpublic.php?cid=4644 this weekend. We thank GREEN for their contribution to our rise to the top.

Writer

GAMMA is still looking for a full time writer for event write ups. The pay is obviously ultra lucrative, so if you are interested in writing and want to do some work for the best org in the game, this is your chance.
